He loved to help the villagers make houses, lift large stones and make wells. He did not ask for anything in return, only the villagers had to provide enough food for him.

If for two days Kebo Iwa does not eat then he will be angry. If he gets angry he will go berserk and ruin whatever is in front of him. No matter the house, the garden or the rice field will also be destroyed. .

Because his body was so big, he ate so much. The portion of Kebo Iwa meal is the same as preparing the food of a hundred people. Even though the villagers did not need the energy, they had to keep providing food for Kebo Iwa. Because if Kebo Iwa is hungry he will be angry and destroy anything.

Until the dry season. All rice barns owned by residents began to empty. Rice and other food items are starting to be difficult to obtain. After a long time, the rain did not come. The residents began to worry about the state of Kebo Iwa. Because if he is hungry, he will go on a rampage.

Surely the concerns of the people. One day Kebo Iwa felt hungry, but the food was not ready because the supplies of the villagers had run out. Let alone for Kebo Iwa, for they eat alone is no more.

Kebo iwa was angry and angry. He destroyed houses owned by residents even Pura as a place of worship also did not escape the rampage of Kebo Iwa.

The residents fled to a neighboring village. But Kebo Iwa kept chasing while shouting "Where's food for me! Or you guys would rather crush !”

Kebo Iwa is getting more violent. He not only destroyed buildings, but also ate the livestock of the inhabitants. The residents were also victims of Kebo Iwa's violence.

Seeing the damage caused by Kebo Iwa, the residents became upset and angry. They set up a plot to kill Kebo Iwa. They invited Kebo Iwa to reconcile. With all sorts of ways they could finally gather a lot of food and then approach Kebo Iwa.

At that time Kebo Iwa had just eaten a buffalo. He sat and lay down on the grass.

“Hai Kebo iwa's.….!” tegurThe Village Head.

“What's up? What do you want to come near me?” kebo Iwa asked suspiciously.

“Actually we still need your strength. Houses and temples are many that you destroy. How about you help us rebuild it. We will provide a lot of food for you so that you do not starve anymore.” said the Village Chief.

“I agree...I will help you guys?”

“But you also have to help us make a big well, because the water needs of the population are increasing.”

“No problem, I will make it for you!”

Kebo lwa was happy not to be suspicious in the slightest. The next day, Kebo Lwa started working. With a relatively short time, several houses were completed by Kebo lwa. Meanwhile, residents were busy collecting large amounts of limestone. Kebo lwa felt confused why the residents collected so much limestone, even though the need for limestone for houses and temples was enough.

“Why do you guys collect so much limestone? “ ask Kebo lwa.

“Know Kebo Iwa. After you finish making our house and temple, we will make you a big and very beautiful house, “ said the Village Chief.

Kebo lwa was so happy to hear that. There was not the slightest suspicion from him, he was getting excited to help the citizens. In just a few days, the houses and temples owned by residents were completed. His job was just digging a big well. This job takes a long time and requires more energy. Kebo lwa used his two large and powerful hands to dig the ground deep.

The more days the hole he made the deeper. Kebo lwa's body was getting down. The pile of excavated soil that was at the mouth of the hole was increasingly mountainous. Due to fatigue, Kebo Iwa stopped to rest and eat. Due to fatigue after eating he was sleepy, he fell asleep with a very loud snoring sound.

The snoring sound of Kebo lwa was heard by the residents who were above the well. Finally, the residents immediately gathered at the well hole. They saw Kebo lwa sleeping in it. It was at that moment that the Village Chief led his citizens to throw the limestone they had prepared beforehand into the well. Due to his deep sleep, Kebo Lwa has not yet realized he is in danger.

When the water in the well mixed with lime had begun to overflow and clog Kebo Iwa's nose, then the giant realized. However, limestone throws from the residents are increasing. Kebo lwa can't do anything. Despite having a very large body and very strong manpower, he was unable to escape from the pile of lime and well water which then buried him alive.

Kebo lwa floundered for a few moments, his movement caused an earthquake for a moment but then subsided and remained silent. May Kebo Iwa be buried in a well.

Meanwhile, the well water is getting more and more overflowing. The water flooded the village and formed a lake. The lake is now known as Lake Batur. While the land heap is high enough to form a hill into a mountain and is called Mount Batur.
