He's Not Dead

He's Not Dead
Falling in Love with a Ghost

Marsa pulled my hand, I sat back down but my gaze remained on the group of women behind Bono.

“Davina isn't real, she's just a friend of your imagination.”

I looked towards Marsa who was sitting next to me. I don't know why I didn't like what Marsa said, as if accusing me of fantasizing and imagining.

“What imagination friend?” ask Oky who wants to know what Marsa means.

Bono looked at me and Marsa with the same curiosity as Oky.

“Davina isn't my imaginary friend, she's really there despite being a ghost. It's just that I can't explain why only I can see it.”

“What is he now here?” Marsa asked again and managed to keep me quiet because Davina was now rarely seen around me.

“She didn't come, but I'm sure she wasn't imaginary and saw some women behind Bono,” point me towards Bono. “The variety they wear is the same as the one that Davina.” wears

“You may have seen it or your imagination.” Marsa again assures that his opinion is correct.

I rubbed my face rough.

“I've never seen that uniform and this is the second time I've seen the same uniform after seeing Davina wear it. I'll ask them,” I said then stood up and approached the table where the group of women were.

“Arka,” call Marsa.

“Sorry disrupt,”.

They also looked at me.

“Iya,” replied one.

“I want to ask, this uniform you wear is school uniform ‘kan?”

Marsa was behind me when I asked.

“Iya, this is our school uniform,” said the short-haired girl, with her oriental face-decorating glasses.

I asked them the name of the school and where they were. Just like I thought Davina was an international school.

“What's up?” ask the long-haired indo-faced girl.

“Oh, it's okay. Just make sure, I've known someone in the same uniform that you wear,” I said and thanked them with the information they provided and returned to our table.

“As I thought, international school because I have never seen it.”

“What are you talking about anyway?” Bono looks increasingly confused.

“If you're sure Davina isn't your imaginary friend, why don't you ask if they know Davina?” asked Marsa still with a look as if what I believe is not true.

“Davina doesn't remember anything, including how she died. It could have been a student there a few years ago or they did not know because of the many students in that school.” My explanation makes sense and logic, keeping Marsa quiet.

“Pregnancy friends, ghosts, students .. This is who we are talking about?”

“Yes right, who do you mean?”

Oky and Bono again asked, I sighed softly. Looks like I have to explain also who Marsa and I mean.

After I explained how to meet Davina including why Marsa said the figure was my imaginary friend instead of really a ghost or invisible creature, Oky was just silent while Bono seemed to think of something.

“Arka, Davina it looks creepy or what? She's a ghost.”

“Beautiful, she is very beautiful. I don't see any flaws from his appearance except for one thing,” I replied.

“What?” bono asked again as he shifted his chair further docked towards the table out of curiosity.

“He's not breathing," I replied.

Shittt, what kind of question is this.

I took another sip of soda that was no longer sweet because the melted ice mixed with soda, choking on hearing the absurd question from Bono. How can I have a crush, a love, a love or something for Davina. Although I believe, if he is still alive his figure must be very interesting and adorable.

Brakes.

Bono did make a table shake anyway, make a surprise.

“So you have a crush on that ghost?” ask Bono.

“Arka, seriusan?” ask Marsa.

Right now my three friends really look annoying because they ask me the thing that makes me cornered and looks sad because I like the ghost of Davina. Though I don't like Davina like a man to a woman, just sympathizing with her condition but.

“You guys why the hell? How could I like ghosts. With humans alone I have never been in love, my first love period should be with ghosts,” I replied just origin.

“Then, what are your plans to prove that Davina is not just an imagination?” Marsa was still muddled with her opinion, irritating me and getting excited to help Davina.

“At the moment I am not looking for a way to prove that Davina is not my imagination but to find out the cause of Davina wandering around is unclear and help her leave if indeed she is dead.”

...***...

“Davina,” call me slowly as I open the room door.

There's no answer. After taking off my shoes and keeping them on the shelf I headed for the dressing room. Davina's place is aloof because she's alone. Sure enough, he sat pensively on the floor leaning against my wardrobe while humming softly.

For some reason he loved to hide on the walk in closet and hum the song.

“Davina, I already know where you go to school.”

Davina lifted her face and looked at me.

“My school? Really?”

“Hm, as I thought. International school and chances are, you're a rich kid of course or descendant of foreign nationals so you go to school there.”

Davina stood up and faced me.

“Then?”

“I will help you, find out the cause of your death and haunting. Even take you where you should be.”

The sad face of Davina came back cheerful to hear my explanation. As usual he would run around laughing by covering his mouth with both hands even at this moment he hugged me.

“Davina, release.”

Not letting go Davina instead tightened the two hands that were coiled around my waist and further stuck her face on my chest.

“Thank you Arka, thank you.”

“But I haven't done anything,” I said frowning.

“I'm sure you'll try to help me, you're good. I know it. At least when I come back and don't have time to say anything, I thank you. I hope even though I am dead, we can meet again in another life and even if I am still alive we can meet again and be together.”

Davina's statement was the longest and wisest sentence spoken by her. Previously he only talked potluck because he did not remember anything or laughed and giggled while jumping up and down.

“Davina, can release your embrace.”

“No, I'm still happy. Leave it like this first.”

It doesn't matter thank you or happy Davina for the clue I got but I'm a boy, even though Davina is most likely a ghost but it can still fascinate me and the worst is falling in love. Falling in love with Davina, a ghost girl who has forgotten her memories.
