He's Not Dead

He's Not Dead
Getting Closer (Death to the Brain)

Her cold hands were so felt on the skin of my neck and clutching tightly. Davira is a lost spirit not a demon or an evil demon intruding on humans. I could not possibly read a prayer to exorcise him or even exterminate him.

“Davina,” I said in a soft voice because my throat was suffocating.

Davira loosened her grip on my neck and drifted backwards and away. I wondered what made her stay away when I just said Davina. I turned towards the bed, where Davina was still helplessly covered.

“You're afraid of Davina?” I asked Davira.

The figure was silent and looked at me with his face lowered.

“Why don't you go?”

“Not your business,” Davira said.

I approached the bed where Davina was. Wiping his arm free from needles and infusion tubes. Some time we were always together without being able to touch like shaking hands but this time I touched her hands.

“How to make Davina wake up?” I still turn my back on Davira.

Davira was on the other side of the bed and looked at me.

“Davina can't get up, so I can occupy her body."

“You are dead, pretending to be Davina is against fate. How do you know that God is making plans to make you unable to leave and unable to occupy Davina's body. Lost and swayed in uncertain directions,” explained without looking at Davira.

Not long before I heard a knock on the door, I turned my head as the door finally opened. It turns out that came Om Lim and Papa. If Om Lim looks happy to see me and introduce Davina to Papa. Different with Papa who was surprised to see the figure of Davira.

“Dia?” point Papa at Davira and look at me.

I just nodded my head, as if I knew what Papa was going to ask.

“Om glad you're here,” Om Lim told me. “Pak Aldo, he's my grandson Davina and his twin Davira are gone in the accident they both had.”

Papa nodded his head and looked at me. I'm sure Papa regrets to doubt that I knew Davina. Papa glanced at Davira, seemingly using inner science or whatever it was that obviously Davira was terrified and lowered his face.

“Pah,” tegurku.

“Just reprimand it, still naughty yes we just annihilate,” said Papa.

“This is our fault, we should have been able to keep an eye on Davira and Davina better. Not like this,” said Om Lim.

Lim's family rush makes the twins out of control. Davira is wrong and Davina has evidence of Davira's mischief. When the school questions and calls the parents, Davira frantically invites Davina to go to the teacher who takes care of Davira's case to explain that the viral one is not her nor Davina.

That's when the accident happened. Davira was seriously injured and even died on the spot. Davina was unconscious until she fell into a coma.

“Then why the figure is still here?” ask me Papa.

Papa just shook his head.

...***...

The next day, after school, I went back to see Davina. I was indifferent to the figure of Davira who was in the corner of the room.  I fixed the blanket that covered Davina's body and rubbed back her arm.

“Davina, I'm coming again.your soul is in my house, quickly get up and prove that you still remember the events during your stay with me.”

Davina was unmoved and still engrossed in a coma. I sat on the side of the bed and whispered something to his ear.

By late afternoon, I intend to go home.

“Davina I came home, we met again at home yes,” I cried while staring at Davina's face that did not show any emotion.

“Give up! Davina's body I'll occupy.”

I sighed, trying not to interact with Davira. Although the time is two days before Davina is declared brain dead and the family must recapitulate.

“Not just me, there are some other spirits who are also waiting for the time to arrive to move to Davina.”

I frowned at Davira's explanation, then walked towards the door and opened it. Surprised by the appearance of several forms that are creepy waiting and hoping to move to Randy's body.

Some of his hands were almost broken and were still dripping blood but when I looked down, there was no blood soiling. Not to mention the sighting of the man who might have worked as a chef in his full outfit. There are also other sightings.

When I was in front of Davina's room, I asked the spirits to leave or I kicked them out with a slight threat.
