Hey Indigo Girl (The Series) TAMAAAAAT!!!!
Part 14 Siti's story

"Hust! Grandma demon! Keep your word! He's not a demon!" Arden's explanation made us stunned.

"What?! Not the devil's grandmother? Keep him what?"

"HUMAN."

"Huh? The real one, Den? She human?" tanya Dedi drove away Brother Arden's steps. My brother just raised his lips, then nodded confidently. "Sir, you better check on Kiki's condition. Change the bandage, how many days has the bandage not been replaced?"

Kiki and I looked at each other and nodded and went inside. To be honest, I did not expect that Siti's grandmother, who I thought was like other villagers, was one of the humans who still survived in this terrible place. I can't imagine what has happened to him, what he's been through all this time, must have been very hard. I'm sure Grandma knows everything.

We went into Grandma's room, found the old woman just sitting in her wheelchair. Stare straight at the window that is wide open. The fresh air coming in made the air of this room change. The two of us were just standing at the door, both me and Kiki were indeed a little hesitant to get close. Until Kiki finally pushed me in first. The P3K box was already in my hands, with doubtful steps I started to go inside, turning to where Kiki was standing so as to catch up with me immediately.

"Good morning, Grandma?" my broom then sat on the edge of the mattress, where I used to sit when I entered Grandma Siti's room. I caught Grandma's eye glancing with an unusual lip gesture. "Grandma want what?" I also try to stay gentle and polite, especially after knowing that Grandma Siti is another human besides Bu Lulu in this village.

"Eh, Ki! Ambilin food!" Kiki who was originally gawking immediately nodded and exited this room. While waiting for Kiki to return I also changed the bandage that was on Grandma's neck. I'm sure this bandage would never have been replaced if it wasn't me or Danu.

"Let me change the bandages, Grandma." Starting to open the thin cloth on Grandma's neck, seeing her thin and dry wrinkled skin made me feel sorry. My eyes were glazed - the glass was imagining what had happened to Grandma, no matter how long she had lived here with them. For me it's not life, but life is like death. Grandma's wounds still look wet. It looks like a burn that does not heal easily. There is a red rash around the wound. A topical medicine, I started to open. "I used to take medicine, Grandma. Maybe if you use this medicine the wound will dry up quickly," I said half sure. I got rid of the drugs that Dr. Daniel gave me, because I was sure they wouldn't be able to heal wounds, maybe they would just add to the pain. While applying the medicine, I also blew the niup of the wound so that the medicine by it quickly dried and seeped into the wound.

"Hold it, Grandma. It must be really painful, huh?"

"...."

"Tomorrow .. If I'm the same friends managed to find a way out, grandma come with me. We leave this place" I explained with tears in my eyes.

Nek Siti turned her head, moving her head slowly. I Gaped at the drastic changes that had happened to him. The most unreasonable thing, I see it now. To my knowledge, Nek Siti suffered a stroke, which left almost her entire body unable to move, and now just the opposite. It was the first time I saw my grandmother look over, and then smile at me. His wrinkled hands clasped me, patting him softly. Not only that, my grandmother's fingers are now starting to venture into my hair, brushing my hair and tucking it into my ears. "Do you know everything?" ask grandma.

My heart rippled, hearing Grandmother's soft voice. It's the first time I've seen the other side of Siti's grandmother. The figure of the terrible grandmother I've known all along, now just shatter it. The one in front of me right now is a kind, gentle and loving grandmother.

"So grandma can talk? Granny ... Can you move too?!" ask me with sparkling eyes. Grandma nodded.

"I've only been pretending to be paralyzed. I can't walk, Aretha, but I can still move. I can move my hands, even talk."

"Why should grandma pretend like this? Is it because of Mr Karjo and Mrs Heni? Them ... Endangering grandma all this time?"

"No. Not at all. They treated me well, just like they did when they were alive. I was paralyzed, but after the incident, slowly my condition actually improved. But I have to pretend like this. I want to wake them up. They don't remember what happened."

"The incident? What happened, Grandma? What really happened in this village? Why did everyone turn into demons at night, and now they're back to human form."

"This incident has been happening for decades. Several decades ago, Mr. Yodhie's family died. You guys must be how they are, right? Indeed, after the death of the family, the atmosphere of this village became gripping. Murder at that time was taboo and horrible. Which according to myth, the victim's spirit will shake. It makes the village atmosphere quiet after sandekala. No one dared to leave the house. Because there are indeed some strange, and terrible events after the incident. Then ... One by one we got sick. It's sort of a contagious outbreak. All are aggravated by the condition of the damaged front road archway. The rainstorm caused the trees to fall in front of the village. We didn't get any outside help, until Doctor Daniel gave up. Almost all the people were sick, and he injected us with poison. All the weak will die immediately. While grandmother, who was still healthy at that time, became paralyzed. Either this is called luck or misfortune, because only one grandmother - the one who is still alive. Grandma even saw her own children die at home. There's nothing Grandma can do."

"...." - ".Kiki then went into the room with a tray filled with food. She then sat down next to me and listened to the story from Siti's grandmother.

"Day - the day the grandmother could not move. Living with the bodies of the children of the grandmothers themselves. Until finally, when it was a full moon, the grandmother who was sleeping at that time, heard a noise outside. Suddenly Karjo and Siti enter the room. They look terrible. Grandma scared. Because they were sure that they were dead, and the one in front of Grandma was no longer human. They keep doing the activities they used to do. They took care of Grandma, even though she knew they were ghosts. But they are still grandmother's children. They still love grandma, like they used to."

"Until now continue like this, Grandma? Did they not realize that they were actually dead? Or do they actually know? Grandma never told them what really happened?"

"It has. But, every time the grandmother told him about it, they became angry. Then things just got worse. So all this time Grandma just let this go, like they want."

"But why are they angry, Grandma?" ask Kiki who is as curious as I am. Grandma looked up and smiled.

"Because they have not been able to accept the reality of what happened to them. The whole village has not been able to accept the death of those who arrived. So, don't talk about this in front of them. Or they will be angry. That would be very dangerous."

Finally little by little the mystery of this village is revealed. Until now, I did not know how to get out of this village. Grandma did not know how, even she did not want to leave her homeland.

Our group - for. Danu and I continue to do daily activities by teaching children in the madrassa. Kiki and Doni stay at home, while looking after grandma. While Kak Arden, Radit, and Dedi chose to walk around the village. Hope to get other information later.

"So everybody understands, yeah, now. Anyone want to ask?" ask me to the crowd of children who sit scattered on the floor carpeted in front.

'Understand, ma'am teacher," they screamed in unison.

"What true? No one wants to ask?" ask me to repeat my question.

"No, Master!" Back their compact sound echoed throughout the room. I can only smile at their behavior, and it is similar to imagining who is in front of me now. Cute kids who are no longer human. The children I loved so much before, even though my feelings are still the same now. But the fact that happened actually made it a bitter pill that I had to swallow round - round. Only, I still love them until this moment.

RADIT POV

The three of us began searching the forest, hoping to find Lulu as well as find a place to get a cell phone signal like Aretha told me the other day. I'm not really sure if the information about this place is true, or just the wreath of the zombies in this village alone. The distance between one tree and another is not so far away and also not too close.

"I don't think they've ever wandered into this place, have they?" ask Dedi. The three of us looked around. This place is only dominated by trees - tall trees with rare leaves. Teak tree. Even some of the leaves that were supposed to be wide and bushy up there, were actually empty. Looks like the caterpillar has made it run out of nothing.

"It looks like it is. The proof since then we have not met a single citizen who passed."

"Maybe because their center of activity is not here. All I see is they farm more often, same to the river. Lots of fish in the river, huh?"

"That's a fish sandwiched yes. It's not that they don't eat," hardik Dedi chuckled. Arden then hit the head of the man on that one. Sometimes he likes to be rude. Thankfully I was converted.

"Where is this going, Dit?" arden asked as we faced the three branched lines of the former road around. Three grassless streets make us believe that once these three lines are often used as a transportation route for residents.

"Wow, don't understand me. Aretha also did not say the details of the path and where it is located. How's this dong?" ask them while scratching their heads.

"Wear the feeling, Den," said Dedi.

"Just go there!" Arden walked leisurely towards the north. Me and Dedi just followed her. Around us there were only teak trees, dry leaves and even scattered. We started taking out the phones, looking for signals hoping to get in touch with outsiders. Although until now I also do not know, who should first be contacted. The cops? It doesn't feel possible.

"Big, Den! That ... Lulu?" I asked to see a movement among the thickets that were quite far from our place. Arden and Dedi squinted their eyes. "Yuk, get there!" get Arden to walk faster than ever.

Until there, Lulu was burning fish next to a cloth tent that she made herself. Like her curtains are her basic ingredients.

"You guys?!" the young man was surprised to see our arrival.

"Sorry ... Sorry. We are not intentionally. We were looking for a place where there was a signal, uh even met you," I explained.

"Oh." Lulu always seems to be on the lookout even though she knows we're harmless. The woman had now changed clothes better, it seemed like she had washed her body because now the scent of her body smelled something else. Her clothes are cleaner. Months of being a fugitive made him much stronger.

"You're looking for fish alone?" asked Dedi and sat down next to him. Look at every move of the woman. He then nodded.

"Have you eaten yet?" the question then pointed to the pile of fish that had not been burned.

"Well, seriously? Can you?" ask Dedi enthusiastically. Lulu nodded confidently, continuing to burn the fish casually.

"If you roam the village, is it safe?"

"Yes if it's not safe, I've been dead a long time," he replied casually in response to me.

I swallowed his reaction. He then ate his own cooking grilled fish greedily. I can't imagine how he lived in a place like this. Become an endless fugitive - hentinya. Avoiding and always hiding. Even if I experienced it I might not be able to anymore. He's tough enough.

"Hey ... You know, if you're not the only human in this village?"

"of course. Are you human too?" tanyanya casually responded to Arden who was serious.

"Not us, but before we were here." Lulu looks silenced while looking up. He then nodded in understanding. "Grandmother Siti? Well, I know. Why why?"

"Why don't you work together to get out of here, or you take grandma with you, instead of having to live with the demons in her own house!"

"That's what he wants. You think I'm not thinking about his safety? Many times I came to his house when Karjo and Heni left, but Grandma didn't want to go. He was just waiting for his death there."

"He's hurt, you know who caused his neck to hurt like that?"

"Ah, most Yodie! He's evil."

"Yodi was the perpetrator of the murder of his own family? So he was also the one who had made this village into what it is now? He's the strongest creature you mean?"

"No. There's another one. Yodi is just the cracker. I'm sure you'll see him soon. Because he's starting to realize what you know now! Be careful!"
