Chapter 08: Leonardo Returns to Government

On top of the city house building a man in black military clothes ran after a group of black-robed people in front of him.

He put a device on his body that threw a hook that made him swing like a spider.

He jumped up using the chimney of the house as a foothold while the two swords in his hand were swung out in a round force, it was held back by the back of one hand like hitting an iron.

"Dam."

Before he launched his next attack another black robe hit him flying into the building down.

"Captain Raider."

"Currently, they're running away. Bring all the wounded and put a lot of people on guard outside the city, I'll go after him."

"Good."

"Busy as usual Raider," the voice made him glance to the side.

"Leonardo turns out you're alive."

"You're not being polite to an old man like me, what's going on?"

"There are strange people who broke through our city and stole dragon eggs, from the beginning I also did not agree with the project called dragon slayer, either, allowing one to take care of a dragon egg and make obeying its caretaker is ridiculous."

"You know how else a dragon can only be defeated by another dragon, that's what the queen thought I'd be gone too long, I'd better greet her immediately."

"Just do it, from the start I can handle this myself."

The hooks were fired at the wall until Raider swung at high speed, climbed back up and then ran by jumping over the roof one by one.

A woman followed from behind, she wore a magician hat to cover her long black hair while her body was covered in the same military attire, instead of carrying a staff she carried a long barrel rifle.

"You're Ymir."

"Captain, I already know what kind of people we're dealing with, they're not human."

"What do you mean?"

"They're just iron armour puppets moved by someone, I've shot him in the head but there's nothing on that body."

"Sad it's troublesome."

A hook was thrown and now Raider was swinging among the trees while Ymir was flying through the air through his magic.

Beneath them were five men who spurred the carriage with a dragon egg they guarded.

Ymir aimed at the muzzle end of his weapon and it contained a particle of light that shot out and smashed one wheel of the carriage to the ground.

The raider swung right between them while beheading them, as Ymir said there was nothing there but empty iron armor.

"How's it?" ask Raider.

"The driver escaped, the egg had also disappeared from falling into the river."

Raider re-sheathed his sword.

"At least we can bring this armor to research, let's go back."

"Understand."

Leonardo has returned to the palace and sees that the queen who looks younger than him seems to be crying.

The queen had long metallic ash hair with a dress showing half her chest.

Her name is Venuzuela Tarnes.

"Thank God Mr. Leonardo is still alive uweeeh."

"Your Majesty the queen is overreacting."

"While I was so worried, Mr. Leonardo made himself a decoy, thanks to Mr. Leonardo I and the others also survived."

"Not to think then what about the peace we are making for the kingdom of Wisteria."

"Unfortunately, there's a third party that instigates them."

"So it's appropriate that our group was attacked."

"Yes, so far we haven't been able to figure out who the mastermind is "

The queen showed a serious face.

"By the way why is everyone wearing different clothes unlike the usual knights?" leonardo.

"Actually the iron armor was already out of date especially when the dragon's attack couldn't withstand the heat so I asked the person in charge to make such a uniform."

"So the clothes are put up with fire."

"Yep, I actually wanted to buy a very strong wedding dress armor but unfortunately when I visited the store they already sold it to an adventurer."

"The adventurer who gets it must be the one who is good at judging."

Unbeknownst to Leonardo the person who bought it was his own student.
