How to Kill a Dragon

How to Kill a Dragon
Chapter 09: Baby Dragon

The next three days Marisa and Elizabeth were in the woods to fight off the Orcs that surrounded them.

Marisa held out her wand while chanting magic to fire the fireball repeatedly until one Orc could be dropped.

Her fire magic was not as strong as Elizabeth thought while the rest of Elizabeth attacked her through her sword.

"This is the last one... Fuad."

Marisa laid her body on the ground while regulating her breathless breathing.

"Truly exhausting."

"I don't think fire magic is that weak?"

"What you're saying, fire magic is a magic that is easy to learn, it was Elizabeth who used magic that was so rare that even did it without neatness."

"So the old man did it for me to defeat the dragon."

"Old man?"

"Forget it, let's get all this sorted out and go to the river to clean up."

"Good."

Elizabeth felt a little relieved that Marisa did not see her as scary anymore.

They cleaned themselves before anything stuck to Elizabeth's feet, it was a fairly large egg.

"Dragon eggs."

"Right, dragon eggs," Marisa added in surprise.

"I'll break it."

Marisa hurriedly took it to protect him in her arms.

"This child is innocent, I will raise her as a mother."

"Huh."

"Ugh."

"Dragon remains a dragon when they are great they will only destroy the city and kill many people mercilessly making the city a sea of fire along with a pool of blood afterwards."

Marisa scowled her body even so she did not want to give up.

"I'll take care of him."

"Whatever it takes but if he grows into a monster I'm not reluctant to kill him."

"I won't let it be like that."

Elizabeth is quite hard on him but occasionally she can also be gentle. They had booked a room in the inn with two beds.

"I have to start warming it up in the blanket, I'm sure that's how the eggs will beat."

Elizabeth didn't want to notice that so she took off her clothes for a bath and replaced them with nightgowns.

Today they were quite tired and they had not had time to report about the hunt, at least Elizabeth thought she might be able to get a good night's sleep today.

Every now and then he has nightmares about the memory of his abode being leveled by a dragon and it hurts him quite a bit.

"Elizabeth wakes up, Elizabeth."

"What's up Marisa."

"Look at this, hurry up."

"What's that egg again, I'm saying it won't hatch in just one ha.."

Before Elizabeth could continue her words, she found something shocking before her. On Marisa's bed she saw a white dragon roaring towards her, there was an egg shell on her head so Marisa let go.

"Look, she's not cute."

"For me he's just as dangerous as the big one."

"You're too wary of him, I'll name him Glacies."

As if understanding what Marisa said, the little Glacies roared like she liked it.

"Glacies try to get your breath out."

"Marisa's dangerous, she can burn something."

It was not the fire that came out of the Glacies but the breath of ice that completely froze the flower pot that was placed in the corner of the window.

"She has something in common with you Elizabeth, but of course I won't let you take the Glacies away from me."

"I'm definitely not going to do it."

"From now on I'm your mama, Glacies."

Elizabeth sighed softly.

"Your future husband will obviously be surprised to know he will have a dragon stepson."

"Don't worry, Glacies cute girl she'll love it."

Elizabeth glanced towards the book explaining about the dragon and muttered, so she knew its gender from there.
