142. First fella

"Hiks... Help me!!"

The forest is dark because of the thick leaves of the trees. The sound of a small beast was clearly heard in the middle of the silent forest.

In the silence, a little girl sat curled up behind a big tree. His body trembled with a slightly torn shirt. Tears flowing from her eyelids drenched her cheeks.

Huf huf!

Hearing that voice, the girl was shocked and panicked again. Not far from him, there were three wolves running towards him. Like the boy ran away from the wolf.

"No... They're getting closer!" The girl ran back with all her might dodging the three wolves. But alas, his run was not fast enough so the wolf was getting closer to him.

"Whoever help me!!!" Shouts for help. He hoped that someone would save him from the wolves. 'I don't want to die here... Please anyone help me.' her inner.

His breathing began to become irregular. Running since then has made his body exhausted. However, he continued to force his body to move in order to save his life.

"Hhuwaa!!"

But suddenly his legs stumbled which made him fall immediately. The girl immediately tried to get up, but she fell down again when she felt pain in her knee.

"Ugh's sick..." His fizz grimaced in pain as he slightly rubbed his scuffed knee.

Huf huf!

Instantly he looked. His eyes widened to see the three wolves were getting closer to him. He was desperate, running was useless. The wolf was already very close to him.

'Am I really going to die here?' her mind is afraid. His eyes closed, his head bowed ready to feel pain. Yet...

The spring!

The sound of a sword slash made him re-open his eyes. Behind him, a boy with bluish-black hair slashing his sword defeated the wolves. His fluttering robes made him look like a hero who came at the last moment to save him.

The girl's face shone back. His life was saved. He thought there was no hope for his life.

"Thank you for helping me." Said the girl with a smile.

The man nodded slightly and turned around. "same. Are you... Is it okay?" Ask the man while turning around.

But the girl's expression changed. He merely stared fearfully at the figure of the boy in front of him, after he saw a pair of tiny horns on the boy's head.

How not? After surviving the wolf, now he has to face the devil?!

"Please don't kill me, demon!" Shouts her fear.

The boy was a little surprised to see the frightened reaction of the little girl.

"Just calm down, I'm not gonna kill you." He tries to convince.

"You must be lying! You'll kill and take my magic later won't you?!"

The boy stared flat. However, her gaze was shifted on the lika on the girl's knee. He stepped closer and squatted a little.

"What are you doing?"

"Std... Shut up." His hand reached out to the girl. "[The healing magic]" The purplish magic circle formed healing the girl's wound slowly.

Seeing her wounds starting to heal, the girl fell silent. That demon healed him, is he really a good boy?

"M-I'm sorry to yell at you. I thought you were gonna kill me. But... Why are you helping me?" Ask the girl.

The boy did not take his eyes off. He was focused on healing the girl's wounds. "I can't leave someone asking for help, can I?" Her words. Her magic circle disappeared along with the girl's wound that had completely healed. "I'm Erano. Hello to you." Continue to introduce yourself while extending his hand.

The girl was slightly dumbfounded, but then shook Erano's hand. "My name is Luciella Eleris. Call me Eleris. Nice to meet you, Erano!" Say it while smiling.

Erano nodded. Black hair with blue rose hair and light blue iris eyes make the girl look so sweet.

"I told you, I just wanted to help you. Anyways... I can't bear to see a human being eating a wolf in the woods. Anyways... Why did you come to this forest of death? Dangerous for humans to come here you know."

Eleris scratched the back of his head. "My friend and I were playing ball tossing on the edge of the forest, but the ball went into the forest. So, I intend to take her, but instead get lost and end up chasing wolves."

Erano looked at it a little. "Friends yes..." Her muttering.

Eleris. "Why? Don't you have any friends?"

Hearing the question, Erano shook his head. "I don't have any friends. Other demons were so ambitious as to defeat other races. So no one wants to play. Sometimes I wonder why they are so seeking power. Though it would be nice if it could coexist rich other races in this world. But as a noble demon, I'm actually obliged to join in killing other races."

The eyes of Eleris sparkled. "So you're a noble??"

Erano nodded briefly. "Y-yes... That's it."

"Great wow! It turned out that helped me a noble demon. Said my father and mother, the noble demons are strong! Then you have great magic power, don't you?" Her questioning was enthusiastic while approaching Erano.

Very different from the girl he met. That feeling he was so scared. "b-so. But... What good is strength if it continues alone?"

"So that's why you don't have any friends... If so, will you be my friend, Erano?" Asked Eleris with a cheerful face full of hope made.

"You serious? I'm the devil." Oh."

"If it's the devil, but you're different from everyone else. You have the goodness of the rich man. So what's wrong with being friends, right?"

Erano smiling. Well, it doesn't seem to hurt to have one friend.

Since then, the two have become more and more familiar. They often met quietly at the edge of the forest to play together. A lot of things Erano told me about his life as a noble and how the demons were.

Not all demons, some of them have goodness in their hearts, making them more able to control themselves and not hurt other races.

Erano also knows a lot about other races in the world. Especially humans who also have strong magic power.

Erano learned a lot about humans and other races. They can live peacefully together without killing each other. That would be a new thing for Erano.

Now he is no longer alone, there are people who have changed his life, making his life more colorful.

Yet... Unfortunately, nothing is eternal. He knows, someday his identity as a demon will spread or maybe the devil nation and his family know if he is friendly with humans.

The sun was getting hotter, the name did not throw off the joking and laughter of two children of different races who were playing in the shadow of a tree.

"Come on Erano, you can do it!!" Eleris gives encouragement. Now Erano is trying a disguise magic that allows him to remove his horn and demonic aura. If he succeeded, he would not have to worry about meeting humans or other races.

A magic circle formed under Erano and began to shine. "[magic disguise]"

The magic circle shone brightly and removed the horn on Erano's head. Now he looks like a normal human being.

"Well! You did it Erano!!" Cheers Eleris.

"Yes. Finally I don't have to worry about getting caught if I'm a demon again! Thanks for cheering me on Eleris!"

Eleris nodded. Now, he doesn't have to worry anymore.

"Eleris, what if the demon race and the other races reconcile?" Ask Erano. Then Eleris looked at the boy beside him. Erano's view was directed at the blue sky above, as if glaring far away.

"It'll be fun. We don't have to play hide-and-hide anymore."

"But... Is that possible?"

"Nothing is impossible in this world. Promise yes, someday... We make the demon race and other races make peace!" Eleris stretched out her little finger. Erano hesitated, but finally he hooked his little finger.

"All right, promise!"
