Lu Xuan Cheng turned around to catch the wooden beam that was back swinging, he then smiled with a cheerful face.
"Hey boy, is this how you greet the father you just met?" reprimand the man then lift An An's body into his arms.
"What kind of Daddy hugs his kid after 5 years? An An An is so cute!" the boy complained while shaking his head.
"You are a man! Why is it so good to get called cute? Aren't you ashamed?" lu Xuan Cheng protested while pinching An An's stye cheeks.
The boy widened his smile, he then answered the words of his father. "Why should I be ashamed? Many are proud because An An has a cute and sweet face. Hihihi..."
"So, aren't you going to hug me at our meeting?" asked the man who hoped to be hugged by An An.
An An shook his head, he put on a fierce face that still looked cute in Lu Xuan Cheng's eyes.
"Who sent the killer to kill Mommy? You must know, right? Tell An An!" command the boy with round and large eyes.
"He's very dangerous, you better not play with him!" lu Xuan Cheng warned An An.
"Ah, okay. But... Daddy, you're amazing to be able to find where the genie dumped this child." whispered An An in Lu Xuan Cheng's ear.
Lu Xuan Cheng furrowed his brows, he then laughed after digesting An An's words. "Haha... Who named this place after Jin threw away the child?"
An An pointed one of his hands upwards. "Look, this place is not a place for humans to live! Ck... Ck...!" he said while shaking his head and clucking with an annoyed face.
"You don't like this place?" lu Xuan Cheng asked in astonishment.
An An nodded, "An An does not like. Every time we come here it means Mommy's life is in danger!" the boy clearly said the reason.
Lu Xuan Cheng tightly hugged An An An's petite body. He patted his shoulder gently and said to An An. "Don't worry! From now on, Daddy's gonna protect you."
"Promise dad! Daddy can't leave us again!" said the boy with a big smile.
Lu Xuan Cheng nodded, he also smiled but felt a little uneasy when he thought about what he should say to Su Li Xia later when they met.
"An An, do you know where Mommy is now?" asked Lu Xuan Cheng with a hint of hesitation.
"There's inside the house" the boy replied as he glanced to the left.
Lu Xuan Cheng followed the direction of An An's eyes. He saw an iron door that was already filled with rust and slightly hollow.
"They live in a slum like this? Do they often live here? How had the lives of this boy and Su Li Xia been for the past 5 years? Is he having a hard time taking care of this child alone? Do they eat well and regularly? It's all my fault! It's my fault for not finding them as soon as possible!" inner Lu Xuan Cheng.
An An An nodded then said, "True, this is the biggest and most comfortable house An An has ever occupied." replied the boy.
"Greatest? The cozy? How can a rusty warehouse like this be considered comfortable and large? How did this boy's life make him feel that way?" thought Lu Xuan Cheng with a regretful look.
Lu Xuan Cheng stroked the chubby cheek of the boy who was still in his carry. He then asked with a gloomy face. "An An, where do you live other than in this place?"
The boy thought for a moment, he looked into Lu Xuan Cheng's eyes then answered a question from him.
"An An, Mommy, Ling, Leona and Doctor Hanz live in the capital. But Mommy rarely sleeps with An An because she's always busy working."
Hearing An An's reply, Lu Xuan Cheng thought that Su Li Xia was working hard to make ends meet. "A woman who raised a child alone, she must have been desperately trying to make money for An An."
He asked the boy again. "Did Mommy work overtime every day? What kind of work is he doing?"
"Emmmmm.... Mommy works from the morning at 6, Mommy doesn't have lunch with An An. At 10 pm Mommy comes home, takes a shower, kisses An An's cheek then leaves again. Mommy works in crowded and noisy places. The place was full of dancing people and lots of bottles of drinks on the table." An An replied while thinking hard.
"A crowded and noisy place? Full of people dancing? Beverage bottles? Does that mean he works at a nightclub?" thought Lu Xuan Cheng.
"Oh yeah, Mommy also works at the hotel, Mommy likes to change clothes when she comes home in the middle of the night." continued An An answer.
Lu Xuan Cheng's face looked tense and wrinkled, with his eyebrows fused together and his lips tightly folded. His eyes were staring hard, and it looked like he was trying to hold back his emotions. All of that was because of An An's words which made him think Su Li Xia was working as a night woman.
"Take me to the place where Mommy is!" he said to An An, clenching his teeth.
"Hide... I finally managed to make Daddy angry. Feel it! Who told you to leave Mommy for 5 years and not take care of An An from the baby. Huhhh...!" an An said in my heart.
"Daddy, come on in!" take An An while pointing towards the warehouse door that was filled with rust.
Lu Xuan Cheng nodded, he stepped closer to the door. There were only a few steps left to get there, and suddenly the door opened.
"Take my son off!" said Su Li Xia who was standing at the door holding a long rifle and aimed at the man in front of him.
