Chapters. 20. Parent Mahen's Rejection.

Tut's. Mama Camelia immediately turned off her call, she was sure that her son would be confused by what she said earlier.

Meanwhile, Mahen and Via have now reached home. They sat in the living room facing each other, just like a few days ago.

"Dear, please listen to the words"

Via raised his hand because he did not want to hear Mahen's words, he no longer cared about what the man did. For him all this is enough, his love is now also no longer left.

"I don't care what Mas does, it's up to Mas to have children or marry Clara. It's all right, so I won't ban it!"

Mahen was silent at Via's remark, knowing that the woman must have been very disappointed in him. However, he also could not do anything at the moment.

"Let's get divorced!"

Deg. For once again Mahen heard the word divorce coming out of the mouth Via made his body wake up to approach the woman.

"Stop, I don't want to hear anything else from your mouth, Mom!" Seeing Mahen approaching him, certainly made Via immediately move from that place. "I say one more time, I want us-"

"enough, enough Via!" snapping Mahen with a hardened jaw made Via gasp, the woman was very surprised by what she was doing.

"Until any time, I will never divorce you! Like it or not, you have to accept my decision!"

Via smiled cynically at Mahen's words, he was sure that at this moment the man must have gone mad.

"you will remain my wife at all times, for I still love you!"

"Stop that shit, Mom! Love love love love, you always say love. You don't know what love means, and you don't deserve to be loved!" Via really only realized that her husband had changed a lot, or indeed all this time he did not know the true nature of the man.

"Whatever you want to say, honey! I will never divorce you, and don't forget! If you force a divorce, I'll make sure that Yara falls into my hands!"

Deg. Via's body immediately stiffened perfectly upon hearing Mahen's words, while the man had already gone out somewhere.

Via's body again fell on the floor with a cry that could no longer be held back, indeed Mahen was very heartless to him.

How could the man take his only daughter? Although Mahen is Yara's real father, she is the mother who has cared for and loved Yara with all her heart.

Via tried to get up and walk to the 2nd floor to get into the room, he immediately looked for the marriage book as well as other letters that he had been keeping.

Unbeknownst to Mahen, all this time Via planted a stock in a company engaged in fashion. She intends to surprise her husband if the shares she owns have reached 10%, although currently still at 7%.

However, all his dreams are only memories. Now he could only stare at the covenant letter he was in hand with grief, and hurried to put it in the bag.

During this time Via was only busy at home, but he always observed the movement of the stock market.  He even intends to invest in a company engaged in jewelry, although his desire has not been achieved.

The next day, Via immediately went to her in-laws' house to pick Yara up. He did not see Mahen's whereabouts in the house, and already did not care where the man was at the moment.

"Assalamu'alaikum Ma, Pa!" Via stepped foot to enter the kitchen because both of his parents-in-law were enjoying breakfast.

"Wa'alaikum hail, Via! Have you had breakfast?"

Via nodded his head. "Already, Ma! Mama and Papa go ahead and have breakfast, I want to see Yara first!"

"He's with Mahen!"

Deg. Via who was about to turn around was fixated on where he was standing at this moment, he then looked at his two in-laws sharply.

"There's something Mama and Papa want to talk to you about, just wait in the living room!"

Via brushed both hands tightly, he was sure that Mahen must have said something to his two in-laws. "Ba-well, Ma!" Whatever it was he could not refute his in-laws speech, he quickly walked towards the central room.

After a while, they all gathered in the living room. However, there was no Mahen in that place making Via wonder in surprise.

"Are you okay, Via?"

Via jumped in shock when suddenly Mama Camelia touched his hand. "Me, I'm fine, Ma!"

The middle-aged woman breathed a rough sigh hearing Via's reply, she knew once that her daughter-in-law must be very broken right now.

"Before, Mama wanted to ask you first. Do you still love, Mahen?"

Via's hand was getting tighter and closer to Mama Camelia's question. "Ma, I really love Mas Mahen! All this time he's been the only man I've ever loved besides Dad!" He's not lying right now, because Mahen is his first love.

Mama Camelia nodded her head while glancing towards her husband. "Mama doesn't want to defend Mahen, or justify what he's done to you. Even he has also tarnished the good name of this family, really Mama and Papa are very embarrassed if others find out!"

Via could only stand still with his head bowed, he was trying to guess what the two in-laws wanted to say.

"Mama knows that your heart must be very painful, and as a fellow woman you know how it hurts. But, we won't allow you to divorce Mahen!"
