Chapter 17 Investigate their room

Queen Safiya sits on the throne and is accompanied by her son Prince Aslan. Prince Aslan was also very disappointed when he knew the identity of Benazir.

"I don't think you're spies!" Said Queen Safiya with a cruel stare full of anger at Benazir and also Arga.

They both fell and remained silent. They are thinking about how to save themselves right now.

Prince Edric who was also present there had different thoughts with Queen Safiya and Prince Aslan.

All your enemies are my friends, the inner Prince Edric smiled cunningly.

"We found a poison bottle in Commander Arga's room" said a soldier.

"Bring here. What poison is this?"

"It was the same poison used to kill Mr. Ahmet,"

Ah, crap! I forgot to throw it away. I think the rest I will use to kill Queen Safiya. I got caught because of that cunning waitress.

"Have you investigated all this physician?"

"Have I investigated and the contents are the same as those on Almira's clothes and on Mr. Ahmet's body.

"It is only fitting that we do not find King Ahmet's murderer. Turns out the one who killed was the commander of his allegiance,"

Commander Arga was just down but his brain was thinking hard.

"What!?" Benazir looked at Arga and he had guessed from the beginning. Arga wants to rule the kingdom.

"We really didn't expect. A great and brave commander. The pride of the palace. But you turned out to be the enemy in the blanket...." Queen Safiya shook her head.

"Take him to jail! And leave this girl to me!" Shouted Queen Safiya at some of the soldiers.

The Soldiers then took Commander Arga into a holding cell.

Prince Aslan escorts him and makes sure that Arga goes into a holding cell and that no soldiers betray him.

"I really didn't think it was you!"

"I want to take the throne from your father. Since I am the son of your uncle who is also entitled to this palace, the treasure used to build this palace is partly my father's," Arga said staring at Prince Aslan.

"What?" Prince Aslan was shocked.

"Well, you're right I'm a traitor. But I didn't do any of this for my right. My father's rights were usurped by your father" Arga told Prince Aslan, who was younger than him.

"So you're my brother too?" Prince Aslan was shocked by the reality he had not known for a long time.

"Then where's uncle?"

"You don't need to know where my father is. If you are any different from your father. Then leave half your possessions to my father. That's called justice. Or.. Are you just as greedy as your father?"

"Shut your mouth Arga! How do I believe what you say is the truth? Maybe you're making a ploy or tricking me. Like you did..."

"You ask your mother. Or you can find your father's genealogy. You'll find my father's name there, he's alive today,"

Prince Aslan looked at Arga with a roaring chest up and down. Without speaking again, Prince Aslan immediately went to the library and would look for his family's genealogy.

He searched one by one the old books of his family genealogy. Searching hurriedly made him miss the title of the book he was looking for right now.

But fortunately there was a book that fell when he was missed reading the title.

"This is what I'm looking for" Prince Aslan said as he picked up the open book on the floor.

There are some pictures of his father when he was a child. A picture of a young man beside her.

There was a name written below the picture of the man. Name's Ajnur.

"So it's true what Arga said. He's my uncle? But where is she? Why never come to see us?" Prince Aslan.

Actually, who wants to take the right to the throne is Arga himself who is very stubborn even though his father has forbidden it.

The father did not interfere in the affairs of the seizure of the throne. Once Arga finds out if his father's brother is so successful then he's there for a purpose that only he knows. He also harbors ambitions, just like Mr. Ahmet.

Prince Aslan returns to custody and sees Arga asleep.

Actually Arga is not really sleeping, he is thinking of a devious way to trick the royal family and do a new strategy in order to survive and be released.

"Where's my uncle?"

"What are you asking? You're gonna kill him too? I'm not gonna tell you?"

Of course Arga won't tell you where his father is. Because if Prince Aslan could find it, then the story would be different. Arga's ambition will be discovered by him. Now he can take refuge from his father's name and his father's relationship with Mr. Ahmet. And use that relationship as an excuse for revenge.

"I want to meet my uncle,"

"no need. We have nothing to do after what happened in the past!" said Arga who did not want Prince Aslan to meet his father.

"I'll look for him" said Prince Aslan, seeing the change in Arga's countenance.

"Don't! Don't look for him.let him live a quiet life...."

"Why are you afraid? He is my uncle. I have to bring him here to my palace and we can live together as a family" Prince Aslan said.

"No! You're not gonna look for him! Don't look for him,"

"But why are you so scared? You said the reason you betrayed was a past relationship. So let uncle explain everything" said Prince Aslan and left Arga bowed.

Damnit damnit! I can't let Prince Aslan meet father. You will be angry if you know me like this, Arga said in his heart.

In another room.

Benazir is bowed down when Queen Safiya recounts her past with Mr. Ahmet.

Benazir now knew his full story from Queen Safiya. He knew from Sima.

"So you're Zeinep's daughter?"

"Yes.that's my mother's name.." said Benazir bowed.

"I should be surprised to find out your long name is Benazir Zeinep. But I thought it was just a coincidence. But it turns out you're the daughter of the woman I've hated all this time,"

"Why do you hate my mother? what's the harm? You are the wife of Mr. Ahmet and my mother has nothing to do with your household!"

"Of course there is. My husband always thinks about Zeinep. Everywhere he's always thinking about that girl,"

"That was your husband's fault. And not my mother. If only Mr. Ahmet had given up my mother with another man. Then there won't be a story like this,"

"Unfortunately, my husband is very stubborn and continues to make me suffer. And I'm why I hate your mother so much. And also.. you.after knowing that you're descended from Zeinep then seeing you is like looking at the bitter past,"

"Then let me get out of here. You will never see me again after I leave this palace" said Benazir pleading.

"I'm not evil. But it is you who have made me evil." said Queen Safiya, recalling her painful past until she became a fugitive to her own husband.

Benazir just bowed sadly. Some of the soldiers took her into female custody. It was separated from the male prisoners.

In the custody, he resigned his fate. Arga's in jail. His friend had left the palace. Who can help him now? No one can free himself.
