NIGHT BUTTERFLY

NIGHT BUTTERFLY
#109

Morning returned bright. The sound of crowded birds on the branches of the tabebuya tree in front of the house, attracted Sulastri to go out to enjoy the morning atmosphere on the terrace of the house. It looks neat with a black color gamis combined with a veil of the same color. The smell of a cup of hot coffee in front of him aroused his taste to immediately sip it.

After the dawn prayer, he contacted Mr. Sahril and Mr. Pratama to bring their wives to pick up Rianti today. He wanted to show Rianti that the company people were happy with his freedom. Later that night, he also prepared a celebration at the house.

"Munawarah, you brought your husband here. We'll have breakfast together. Call also Mr. Mustarah and Masku," said Sulastri when Munawarah put the breakfast menu on the table.

"Well, ma'am," said Munawarah. He immediately walked to the guard post. Mr. Bayan, Masku also Mr. Mustarah who happened to be enjoying their morning coffee, was seen approaching the terrace of the house.

"What time to go, ma'am," said Mr. Mustarah shortly after sitting in front of Sulastri. Sulastri plucks a piece of cow crackers in a plastic container. He glanced at his watch.

"After breakfast, sir. We will meet Mr. Sahril and Mr. Pratama at the Great Mosque" Sulastri replied. The cow crackers in his hand began to eat. Bi Aisyah and Munawarah immediately took a seat near Sulastri. After everyone gathered, Sulastri invited them to eat their own food.

"Bi Aisyah and Munawarah, later tonight we will be busy again with the arrival of guests. We will hold a celebration to welcome the arrival of non Rianti to this house. Bi Aisyah and Munawarah only prepare drinks, the food we will supply from the restaurant. I've already contacted Trianti and Retno's ma'am to prepare it" Sulastri said after eating his meal.

"Guests from anywhere, ma'am," said bi Aisyah.

"We only invite orphans in our orphanage. Just a zikiran event and yasin readings only. About a hundred and fifty people" Sulastri said. Then he got up.

"Don't be in a hurry, Mr. Bayan. Let's keep eating it. Masku, let's add more rice, son," said Sulastri. Mr. Bayan and Masku nodded. Sulastri then went into the house. Not long after, he came out again. Mr. Mustarah who was busy eating crackers in front of him immediately washed his hands. He got up when he saw that Sulastri was out of the house.

"Come everyone, I leave first" Sulastri said as he walked followed by Mr. Mustarah down the terrace to the car. Mr. Mustarah honked his car once when the car was out of the gate.

Meanwhile, Rianti seemed uninspired to see Jamila tidying up her clothes and putting them in a bag. He also refused to help Jamila tidy up the clothes he would bring home today. I don't know how he feels right now. On the other hand, he was happy because he would soon be free to breathe free air. But on the other hand, he felt sad and heavy leaving Jamila who had accompanied him in the cramped space for fifteen years. Jamila is considered to be his brother. Jamila also patiently taught him how to read the Qur'an, so that now he is very good at reading it. Jamila had to spend another five years in prison because of the drug case that ensnared her. If allowed, he would like to remain there and wait until Jamila is completely released from prison. He wanted to feel the happiness of freedom together with Jamila.

Jamila sighed and smiled towards Rianti.

"Don't be sad, Rianti. I'm sure I'll be free soon. Not for five years, really. Just pray that I can get general remission II to be free immediately," said Jamila trying to dispel Rianti's grief. Rianti smiled, but did not fully widen on her lips. He looked at Jamila's face, then approached her. He hugged Jamila tightly. Jamila smiled and replied tightly to Rianti's embrace. Rianti's sobs sounded.

"I don't like it when you cry. The only thing that makes me happy right now is seeing you free. I must have come out. One over. I don't have anyone out there. So, if I go out later, prepare a room for me yes," said Jamila. He let go of Rianti's embrace. Rianti's eyes that were moist with tears on her swab were soft with her hands.

"Not just the room, Jamila. I promise to make you a home" said Rianti. Jamila smiled and shook her head.

"Sorry, I'm just kidding" Jamila said.

"Sister Rianti, there's a guest." An officer had been standing outside the room bars. Rianti gave a short sigh. He looked at Jamila. Jamila smiled and helped Rianti's body stand up.

"Come, I'll bring you your bag" said Jamila. Rianti.

"No, Jamila. We still have plenty of time to be together. I'll just go home tonight" Rianti said. Jamila. Rianti's words made him affected as well. Tears that had been held back, finally came out as well. He hugged Rianti's body. His sobs sounded louder than Rianti's cries. The officer just stood by to watch the two.

"Please, Sister Rianti. The guest had been waiting for a long time" the officer said as they saw their cries begin to subside. Jamila immediately wiped Rianti's tears. He then pushed Rianti's body out.

"I'll be back again. Don't bring my clothes" said Rianti. He looked back as he walked a few steps behind the officer. Jamila smiled nodding her head.

Sulastri stopped his steps when one of his legs was in the waiting room. He sighs. His face looked not so happy. He chose to stay at the door.

"Mirgin. Congratulations on your freedom, son," said Mr. Jamal, rising from his seat. He immediately approached Rianti and hugged her. Rianti just kept quiet. His eyes were fixed on Efendi, who was smiling at him.

"Come, sit. There's something we need to talk about" Jamal said. He then embraces Rianti's body towards the seat.

"Oh yes, introduce this Mr. Efendi," said Mr. Jamal while pointing at Mr. Efendi.

"I already know, sir," said Rianti. He sighed and sat down.

"Non Rianti, I see more beautiful. Already wear the hijab again" said Mr. Efendi. Rianti did not answer. His eyes were lazy to look at Efendi.

"Bad came here to pick you up. I have prepared a house for you. So, you do not need to bother thinking about where to stay. Later, if you have succeeded in taking over your papa company, you are free to live anywhere," said Jamal. Mr. Efendi sighed. He scratched his head while shaking. He seemed to disagree Jamal too hastily to the core of the conversation.

Rianti got up from his seat.

"Sorry, I don't like it when you talk about this anymore. I told you, I'm no longer interested in talking about the company. I sincerely held the company mother. She is also entitled because she is papa's legal wife" said Rianti fiercely. He no longer cared who he was talking to.
