Zulhiyani slowly opened her eyes. His eyes blinked several times, trying to adjust to the light of the lamp in the room. He felt his body condition was somewhat improved. He could even move his body. Things that have been difficult to do. Since being treated at the clinic two days ago, he has spent his time sleeping. Tired of his body and feelings while still in his rundown house, like having obtained the most comfortable place in a spacious room where he lay now.
Zulhiyani looked back and forth watching the atmosphere in the room. He sighed long. He tried to remember the incident until he was in the room. And the first one he remembered was inak Nurmah.
"Mother,"
For the first time Zulhiyani was able to let out her voice after previously only being able to gesture with her eyes and lips. Zulhiyani smiled. Both of his eyes were bright. He thought his voice would be stuck far away at the end of his throat. He can actually hear his own voice. He could not imagine how happy it would be for Nurmah to hear him call his name. But the old woman was invisible in the room. He has tried to move his eyes fully through every corner of the room. But he believes that at this time Nurmah is in a decent place. That was probably the reason why he felt so soundly sleeping these two days. He felt calm because he did not think about the condition of his mother when looking after him or looking for a job to eat them everyday. Although still feel embarrassed and bad about the kindness of Master Izzul Islam and his family, he said, at least he and his mother included people who entered the list of poor people managed by the family of Mr. Guru Izzul Islam. Like it or not, he and his mother are poor and deserve compensation. And recalling the complaints of his mother a few days ago, he who had previously resigned to his condition, now determined to be healed soon. And if Allah wills for him to be healed one day, he will find a job and take good care of his mother. And even if he is destined to die, Master Izzul Islam will not waste his mother. The generosity and kindness of Master Izzul Islam will put his mother in a decent place.
The door sounded open. Zulhiyani turned her face away. He smiled at the sight of Nurmah and Suhaini being seen behind the door. Seeing Zulhiyani smile, Nurmah's inak immediately ran over. So happy, he almost fell. Zulhiyani's face implied a new spirit of life, making her unceasingly kiss him. He could not hide his happiness when he heard Zulhiyani calling him mother.
"Yes, God, son. I want to hear you call mom again. Come on, one more time, son," said Inak Nurmah. Zulhiyani smiled. He moved his head and whispered in Nurmah's ears.
"Mother."
The cry of inak Nurmah. So was Suhaini who stood beside him while holding Zulhiyani's hand.
"Mother like just recovered from a disease that gnawed at the mother's body. Thanks to Allah. Thank you to the Mukarom family for their kindness. May Allah one day bring them out of the trouble of the day of Qiamat" said Nurmah as he turned his hands up. After that, his old hands began to tidy up Zulhiyani's hair while unceasingly kissing her. Zulhiyani raised one of her hands and rubbed the dull face of the dull inak Nurmah. Nurmah's tears and dripping down Zulhiyani's cheeks. Nurmah's tears were then rubbed with her index finger and then sucked into her mouth. Tears flowed down his face.
"I'm sorry, Mom. I'm sorry if I've been bothering you all this time. I'm the one who should take care of my mother, instead of making my mother difficult and sad. I promise, I'll get well, Mom. I want to repay mother's kindness. Even if later the Lord will do another, I will give my good deeds to my mother" said Zulhiyani as he continued to kiss the black hands of Nurmah. Inak Nurmah smiled.
"Already, Son. You can talk again, I'm happy. I'm with you, Nak," said Inak Nurmah. He wiped Zulhiyani's tears and kissed her forehead. After for some time the two dissolved in tears, Zulhiyani turned to Suhaini who seemed to dissolve in his second cry
"Suhaini," called Zulhiyani down. Suhaini rubbed both of his eyes. He smiles. Inak Nurmah shifted his body and told Suhaini to get closer.
"I'm so happy to see you again, Suhaini. Where's Jamila?" ask Zulhiyani. Suhaini smiled.
"Jamila's still in the cabin. God willing, now he will come here with Nyai Rianti's mother," said Suhaini.
"Suhaini, can I ask you a favor?"
"Tell me, hopefully I can help you,"
"As long as I am sick, I will never again memorize my Qur'an. I'm afraid I can't remember it anymore. Please, if you have the Qur'an, bring it for me" said Zulhiyani so smoothly, as if he was not seriously ill.
"God willing, I'll call Zaebon to bring you a mushaf." Suhaini stopped her words. He stared at Zulhiyani for a long time.
"Subhanallah, if Nyai Rianti's mom finds out, she'll be very happy. But by the way, when did you start memorizing the Qur'an? Feelings, in the cottage you never memorized?" asked Suhaini in surprise. Zulhiyani gave a long sigh. His eyes were now directed to the ceiling of the room. For a long time he was silent. The sparkles in his eyes were like he was taking him to his past. He let out a long sigh and looked at Suhaini.
"Since I ran away from boarding school, I've felt guilty. I should have asked Nyai's mom for permission, whatever the risk. My sorrow grew when I learned that Nyai's mother had died. I feel like I'm the cause of all that. From that moment on, I felt that I had betrayed my teacher, to the boarding school that had given me so much knowledge. As a santri, I have denied it to my teacher." Zulhiyani lowered her gaze. His cries began to sound. Suhaini tried to strengthen her. Zulhiyani's arm rubbed. Inak Nurmah just stared silently at Zulhiyani.
"That's why I began to concern myself with memorizing the Qur'an. There were only three juz left until I became ill. I want to finish it. At least, this is a form of gratitude to Allah, who has reunited me with the great family of the late Nyai Mustiani" Zulhiyani said with sobbing. Suhaini smiled.
"God willing, we will help you complete your memorization. Frankly, I envy you. We who are healthy never took the time to just memorize some verses from the Qur'an, and even though we were given health by Allah. You are amazing, Zulhiyani," said Suhaini.
"Alhamdulillah" said Zulhiyani.
"Come, now I feed you yes. Quickly healthy so we can gather again in the pesantren," said Suhaini. He immediately stepped up to pick up a few packs of rice that he had bought. He then began to feed Zulhiyani. Inak Nurmah himself seemed busy tidying up Zulhiyani's hair.

Arriving at the hospital lobby, Mr. Guru Izzul Islam sent Rianti and Nur Jamila directly to the Zulhiyani treatment room. Mr. Guru Izzul Islam himself went directly to the TU clinic room to see the results of the Zulhiyani laboratory examination.
Mr. Izzul Islam long sighs to see some of the photo X-ray cliches that he opened from a large white envelope given by the officer. Master Izzul Islam does not really understand the foreign terms listed in the picture.
"I'm sorry, sir. Please explain. I don't really understand" said Mr. Izzul Islam. He returned the X-rays to the officers. The officer smiled.
"The white is the fluid that inundates the patient's heart. Sodium deficiency is a serious electrolyte disorder that is usually seen in people who have very low levels of antidiuretic hormone. This disease is also caused by complications of other medical diseases. Poor nutrient intake over a long period of time is the initial cause." The officer put the X-ray in his hand and took another X-ray.
"And this, there is a tumor in the patient's body that has spread to the brain." The officer nodded long. He looked at Master Izzul Islam.
"The patient's chances of survival are only ten percent, sir," the officer continued. Master Izzul Islam has a small nod.
"It's important that we try our best, sir. Emmh.., about the time of the operation, sir," asked Master Izzul Islam. The officer checked several large books arranged beside him. He took out a book among the piles of books. For a while he was busy directing the end of his bolpoint towards the list of tuisan on the book sheet.
"Patients on behalf of Zulhiyani...God willing one more week, sir. Hopefully this one week of treatment will have an effect on the patient's physical condition" the officer said. Master Izzul Islam nodded.
"Well, thank you, sir," said Master Izzul Islam while shaking the officer's hand. After that he hurriedly stepped towards Zulhiyani's treatment room.
