21. Sleep beside me

The hospital VIP room.

Inside the room stood Khandar, Karina, and Andreas looking at Andy unconscious lying on the hospital bed with his right hand part wrapped in a thick bandage.

Karina sat beside Andy's bed, staring at the bruised face and the oxygen hose attached to her nose.

Khandar approached Andreas, taking him a little away from Karina.

“Why did you tell me to come to this hospital?” ask Khandar cynically.

“Because Om is the only parent Andy has,” says Andreas.

“Oh! Means there's nothing more I have to see here, right?” ask Khandar back.

“There, I want Om to wait for Andy to wake up,” pinta Andreas seriously.

“I've seen it, and I don't care about the condition,” said Khandar to make Andreas surprised.

“Neaseless me. Tega Om said like that!” cetus Andreas lowered his tone, not wanting Karina to listen to the two of them.

“If in this world everything can be handled, controlled, and obeyed by money. Why would I step in to see it. My job is to pay for medical expenses, I think that's more than enough. If you want to wait until Andy wakes up, then wait. But, don't tell me to wait for him!” khandar.

Andreas was speechless, completely inexhaustible seeing Khandar's attitude never changed from before.

Khandar approached Karina, saying goodbye with a million fake smiles to Karina. Then Khandar stepped away leaving Andy's inpatient room.

Andreas just stared at Khandar's departure looking so haughty. It really made Andreas want to beat up everyone right now.

Seeing that the door of the room had closed and Khandar had disappeared from behind the door of the room. Karina approached Andreas, patting his trembling shoulders like restraining the mounting emotions within him.

“I hope you can continue to be a friend and family for Andy,” Karina message as if she had heard their conversation.

“Sorry, I don't deserve to be considered a family to Andy. Because I am not a holy man. Preferably, Mother alone became his family,” said Andreas as well as propose.

“You better go home, let me take care of Andy here.”

“No need, I'd better go home. Let me accompany Andy in this hospital,” Andreas refused.

“Tomorrow you must go to school, you are already in third grade and will soon be approaching the graduation exam. You better go home, get enough rest. Do not forget to record all the lessons from the teacher so that you can share them with Andy if Andy has been aware and can return to school,” said Karina a little forcing.

“Good. I'm picking Andy up. Take good care of Andy, ma'am? See you tomorrow afternoon after school,” pamit Andreas finally obeyed Karina.

“Yes, you be careful on the road. Remember that! Bring the train do not be tight, and Andy is not healed yet. Uh, it's in you. I get bothered later,” Karina's message in between jokes.

“Simply, I won't make mom worry,” says Andreas seriously.

After saying goodbye once again to Karina and Andy was not aware. Andreas comes home with a shabby face and leaves Andy's hospital room.

Realizing it's too late, Karina won't be coming home for the night because she has to look after Andy. Karina decides to leave the room, calls her parents, tells them that tonight is not coming home because she has to wait for Andy to wake up.

Done already told his parents not to come home tonight. Karina is back in Andy's room. Once in the hospital room Karina was surprised by Andy standing beside the hospital bed while removing the infusion hose and oxygen aids.

“You why let go of all this?” karina asked worriedly as she moved quickly closer to Andy.

“I don't like being hospitalized. I better go home, and rest in my apartment!” sahut Andy lirih's.

“If in hospital can cure sick people. Why was Mama not saved? Why did you have to die?!” andy's question made Karina unable to answer.

With his stride and vision still a little blurry, Andy forced himself to walk. However, Karina immediately held back her wrist.

“Do you seriously not want to be hospitalized?” ask Karina to make sure.

“Iya!”

“Alright, I have to call Mr. Khandar to ask permission first,” Karina said.

“Just free mom called Papa,” Andy cetus.

Karina doesn't care what Andy says. He took his cell phone, called the number.

📲 [“Assalamualaikum, Mr. Khandar.”] greetings Karina after Khandar picks up his phone call.

📲 [“Wa’alaikumsallam. What's up, Karina. Is Andy awake?”] ask Khandar.

📲 [“Already. But.Andy wanted to ask to go home. He does not want to be treated here, Mr.”] Karina said.

📲 [“Leave it. If Andy wants to go home let me call the hospital and pay for all Andy's custody and room. I will also transfer money for Andy to do his own treatment when not in the hospital.”] Khandar said calmly.

Karina was surprised instead of playing, she glanced at Andy's pale face. Then his lips could no longer say anything but just ‘Alright Pak’. After that Karina turned off her phone.

Finished paying this and that fee, Karina decides to drive Andy to Andy's apartment.

Karina's 1-hour drive made no sound at all, nor did Andy. Andy preferred to rest because his whole body felt very sick.

It was Karina's car in the apartment parking lot. Karina helps Andy walk towards the elevator, and towards her room.

“Are you sure of your choice not to be hospitalized?” asked Karina to make sure she returned.

“Yakinu. All I need right now is.” Andy's words are hanging, his hands are patting the empty bed on his left side. “Sorry if I'm sassy. But, let me ask mom to sleep next to me so that I can sleep soundly without feeling a pulse all over my body,” continued Andy mentioned his request.

“It is better that I sleep on this long sofa alone,” reject Karina pointing to the long sofa.

“Is it because I stink of eating that you don't want to sleep next to me? Though I just want to be accompanied,” murmured Andy softly. He stretched his body, pulled the blanket back at Karina.

“Not. I just don't want to disturb your restful sleep tonight. You better sleep, because I will also sleep soon,” said Karina.

“I won't sleep if Mom doesn't sleep next to me!” andy threatened.

Not wanting to see Andy continue to move and rebel with a weak body condition. Karina decided to walk up to the bed, and slowly lay down her body there.
