Weeks have passed, and Katryn is now in front of a mirror featuring her body covered with wounds from Earnest's actions.

For nearly five years Katryn was stuck in a toxic relationship with Earnest. Repeatedly trying to escape, his body was subjected to Earnest's anger many times. Earnest was so sweet in the beginning, treating him as best he could.

But, a month into being Earnest's lover, one by one the ugliness of the man was visible. He often says things that make him feel inferior and useless. Stupidly, Katryn believed that only Earnest wanted her, no one else.

Katryn's eyes were closed followed by tears. His life path changed drastically and was so miserable just because of a man. All the bad things that happen are caused by psychopaths not having that heart!

In this week, Earnest never came to him again. Katryn was so grateful that she even prayed that the man would never be in her life again.

However, one other thing Katryn thought, was that Aleysia—sang mother— blames her for what happened to their family. Despite not saying it directly, Katryn had several times heard the debate between her mother and father, Thomas.

As Katryn had heard two days ago, where Aleysia complained about her life not being what it used to be and the words her mother had spoken to her father, affected her mind a little.

“Supposed Katryn to accept the man, so that we don't live like this!” That's what his mother told his father.

Katryn is eager to tell her family that Alessa will help, but Katyn holds back from remembering Alessa's warning not to tell anyone. Honestly, Katryn wasn't sure Alessa could help her, it's been a week since there's been any word from Alessa.

“Baby!” Earnest suddenly opened the door and called out to him.

Katryn was shocked, she hurriedly took the scarf and covered the body part of her shoulder that was only wearing a tank-top.

“What are you doing?” ask Earnest.

“Nothing. Just glazed over,” he replied after neutralizing his heartbeat.

“You're watching my work, hm?” he said while chuckling happily.

“What are you doing here?” katryn asked to switch the conversation.

“I miss you!” Katryn held back from letting out a crack.

 Suddenly, Earnest approached and hugged Katryn's body gently. His face he put on the curve of Katryn's neck, occasionally inhaling the fragrance of Katryn's body that he liked. Katryn was like a statue, not returning Earnest's embrace. This hug feels bland, there is no comfort in it.

“You will not be able to leave me,” whispered Earnest who made Katryn menegan

Dinner with Earnest was never fun, maybe it was. However, after getting ill-treated and knowing one secret that Earnest had been hiding, Katryn could no longer enjoy being with Earnest for a second.

“Do you want to order anything else?” ask Earnest.

“No!”

Earnest's phone vibrated on the table, Brielle's name on it. Katryn took a quick glance at Earnest, the man rejecting the call.

“Brielle how are you?” ask Katryn slowly.

“Good,” answer cuek.

There was no other conversation, Katryn actually asked about Brielle spontaneously. A little guilty to that beautiful woman. Supposedly, he had never received Earnest entering his world, but the rice was already a porridge.

Luckily, Earnest didn't hurt her tonight. After dinner, Earnest drove him home. However, it is strange because there are many burly men in all black clothes around his house.

“They are who?” katryn asked confusedly.

“They are my people who will take care of you,”

“Why should I be guarded?”

Katryn immediately thought to Alessa, does this man know about Alessa who wants to help her get away from Earnest?

“Can I go from you? No, right? you have a way to keep me tied up in your arms!” katryn said loudly.

“I'm not your doll that you can make your toys! You should be thinking about your wife, not your pleasure!” katryn said a second time, there was no word from Earnest, the man just looked as if Katryn's talk was just the wind.

Katryn laughed cynically, Earnest's casual response was so upsetting, how could a husband be so indifferent to his wife? Brielle, yes, Earnest's wife is Brielle.

 It's useless for Katryn to say that. Katryn turned and walked into the house. When she opened the door, Katryn found Marchell sitting in the living room.

“Where are mama and papa?” tanyakanya.

“In room. Mama is still sick,” Marchell replied.

“What is not taken to the hospital? Poor mama..”

“Mama don't want,”

“You okay, Ryn?” marchell asked after answering his sister's question.

“I am okay,”

Katryn sat down next to her sister and laid her head on Marchell's lap. Marchell's smile rose, his hands began to play Katryn's hair.

“Marchell..”.

“Hm..”

“Are you mad at me with our situation like this?” ask Katryn to know.

“Since it's like this, you're shunned by your friends and even they make fun of you! Are you mad at me for our situation like this?” ask Katryn to know.

“Never once, because of this I know who is really a friend and who is not!” Marchell.

“Include your lover?” Marchell nodded slowly and replied,

“Include it. I'm sorry I didn't hear you say!” Katryn laughed softly.

“So do I,” Katryn said.

Marchell laughed, they were blinded by the dormitory, and in the end they were hurt. When Katryn was close to Earnest, Marchell didn't like it. Thus with Katryn, he does not like Marchell's lover who he thinks is too cent and often asks for something to the brother that does not make sense.

In an instant, Katryn's countenance turned sour. Marchell who realized that, asked directly.

“Do I just accept her application?”

“Are you crazy?”

Katryn sat herself down, looking at Marchell with all mixed feelings.

“I can't bear to. Mama can't live like this, you know also how mom and dad fight because of this, Chell. All because of me!” katryn.

“Everytime they quarrel, mama blames me with what is happening now.”.

Marchell fell silent, not believing the mother to blame Katryn. Aleysia herself refused Earnest's request to marry her daughter. But, it could have been because the mother had been bestowed with treasures and never lacked. Unlike the father, Thomas pioneered his business from zero with his grandfather to become a thriving business.

“I don't agree you accept him! Whatever it is, we find a way out together!” marchell said against.

Until then, Marchell would never want to have a psychopathic sister-in-law like Earnest! Still a lover, he dares to treat Katryn like this, especially if she becomes a husband, Marchell will lock Katryn in a creepy cage!
