The Heiress'S Love

The Heiress'S Love
Chapters 15. Lie

Lovingly, Daniel rubbed gently Natasha who was still sleeping on her bed. Lucky his fever had dropped after midnight last night, Quentin whom he was assigned to guard Natasha came to bring his unconscious sister in the man's support. After hearing what happened to Natasha from Quentin, he decides not to tell James about Natasha's whereabouts there.

This is what Daniel feared when he left Natasha with James, not that he did not believe in his adopted sister it was just that James' relationship with Natasha could not be said to be okay. A few months of forcing James into one house with Natasha was not at all fruitful. The man continued to keep his distance from Natasha who had been trying to get closer to James again.

Now that Natasha has happened, Daniel is thinking of carrying out the plan he should have done since leaving London. Natasha would rather live alone in the apartment she had prepared in the heart of London. Maybe that's what's best for Natasha and James, living apart.

“Don't you better tell James about Natasha's real state?” quentin said from the doorway of the room when he saw Daniel was still faithful to be beside his sister.

Daniel glances at Quentin, he then kisses Natasha's cheek before moving on from Natasha's side. “that won't help at all and might just make things worse.” He said as he walked out of the room.

“But I think James deserves to know everything Daniel. James must understand why Natasha can't tell the difference between him and Nathan.” Quentin followed Daniel's steps.

“What he will be able to accept easily Uncle. Whereas Uncle himself knows how hard it is for me to accept that fact, even after all these years? I still don't accept what they did to Natasha.” Daniel said glumly.

“Your father accepted their offer, because only they gave Natasha hope of recovery.”

“By making it a guinea pig!” Said Daniel beaver, “they're all biadap, treat Natasha like... argh Fu*k!!!”

Daniel squeezed his hair in frustration. He is again shrouded in anger with every shadow of the past as Natasha undergoes recovery therapy due to the trauma suffered after the great massacre at the castle. It was so painful to see her little sister being treated inhumanely, in the name of the advancement of science as well as medicine.

“At least all of that is paying off now. Natasha can go back to living her life normally.”

“Normal life? Natasha lives a lie. He never got his own life, you guys already erased all his memories and filled with the memories of others!” Daniel kicked the table in front of him, venting the anger he was feeling at this moment. He breathed deeply to control his emotions again. Natasha needs him in a cool head state right now. “Do they guarantee there will be no side effects from the treatment or Natasha forever have to depend on the drug they injected?”

“They are trying to reduce the administration of the drug to Natasha and see the results.” Answer Quentin.

There was a bland laugh from Daniel's lips, “they won't stop making Natashaku a guinea pig right?!” Said miris.

“We wait for the results first Daniel, they just want to help don't blame what they did to Natasha.” Quentin said he was trying to calm Daniel down.

“Ya.. You're right uncle. Not those who are wrong, but that son of a bitch who has to rot in hell as soon as possible.”

At high speed, James cut through the streets of England from London to New Castle. Regardless of the busy daytime highway, he further deepened his gas pedal after passing through the city of Sunderland. The only goal is one, Daniel's apartment to meet Natasha.

Last night's quarrel with Natasha kept him haunted by guilt plus this morning could not find the girl in the room made James confused. Luckily some of the guards learned of Quentin's departure, which took Natasha by helicopter last night.

If only last night he hadn't decided to leave the mansion, maybe he could have prevented Quentin from taking Natasha to New Castle. James could only hope that Daniel would hear his explanation later. Arriving in front of Daniel's apartment, James' mixed feelings solidified his steps in.

James finds Daniel standing by a window that leads to the garden behind the apartment. The man was not at all disturbed by his presence. James' hesitation eroded the distance between them.

“I want to meet him, Daniel.” Said James.

“You can't see him now.” Daniel shuddered completely from his position.

“Please, I'll apologize to Tasya.” Pinta James's.

“You can do it next time, let Tasya rest.” Daniel looked at James who was disappointed.

“I'll do whatever you ask Daniel, but let me meet him.” James was desperate.

“Go home, let Natasha be with me for a few days.” Daniel remained in his stance even though he saw James who looked disappointed.

James rubbed his face rough. He really wanted to see Natasha, apologize to the girl and bring her back to London. But Daniel's hard-line attitude is blocking his current desires.

“I'm angry because I'm worried about Daniel, I don't want anything to happen to him when I'm with other people.” Bright James.

“Let Natasha be close to someone else James, she deserves to have a life of her own. Do not forbid him to play outside, he is not your prisoner who should always be at the mansion after returning home from college.” Daniel said.

“What should I do?” Ask James to.

“You know exactly what you have to do James, but you never want to do it. Let him feel it from others. Let him lead a normal life.” Daniel said up.

The two men were busy in their minds. Quentin approached Daniel to tell the man what was important.

“They've come Daniel.” Quentin.

The heavy heart of Daniel followed Quentin to greet their guests, while James who knew nothing looked at Daniel and Quentin with astonishment and curiosity. He immediately followed the two men who were welcoming a guest in a white suit with several assistants behind him.

“What Natasha hurts?” James asked worriedly.

“It's none of your business.” Answer Daniel ketus.

“It's also my business Daniel!” James snapped straight at the man's shirt.

The tension to the two men was instantly sidetracked by the screams that sounded from the room. Natasha looked in pain. Unlike Daniel who can only sigh in muffling anger, James looks confused by what is happening.

“What did they do to Tasya?!” James snapped, but there was no answer a word from Daniel.

Feeling neglected, James took off his grip on Daniel, turning his legs wide into the room Natasha used.

“Bring him out.” Daniel orders some of his men who are in the apartment.

Without any further objection, the men instantly blocked James's steps before reaching the room. They immediately dragged James out despite having to wrestle first with the man.

“You can't do this to me Daniel, let me meet him. What did they do to Natasha?” A series of screams James was not stirred at all by Daniel, until the man's voice muffled the door of his apartment.

James finally gave up trying to get away from Daniel's men. How his efforts will end up in vain against them because the men are trained men, the best that D’yavol has. Doldrumsily, James bowed his head at the wheel of the car. Disappointed at not meeting Natasha.

“Are you feeling better?”

Daniel's voice broke Natasha's daydream sitting alone staring at the green grass in the garden that was visible from her sister's apartment.

“Iya, I'm already healthy.” Natasha replied with a sweet smile welcoming Daniel's embrace.

After a few days in her sister's apartment, Natasha did feel better. Nor is he as shy as the last time Regina left.

“Daniel, may I ask you something?” Natasha asked with a doubtful face.

“What do you want to ask, Dear?” Said Daniel.

“Why James was always angry when I called him Nathan and that night he also said that Nathan was dead. I don't understand.” Natasha lirih.

Daniel closed his eyes for a moment, again he had to fill his sister's life with lies. “do you remember Mom's death?”

Natasha shook her head weakly, “I don't really remember.”

“That time Mom took you and Nathan for a walk. On the way home, you were crying because Nathan had cursed you. Mom who is trying to calm you does not realize that the car you are riding switched lanes. And when I realized, it was too late. A truck hit the car from another direction. The accident left mom dead on the way to the hospital and you were in a coma for months. Only Nathan was lightly injured. From that moment on Nathan kept blaming himself, hoping to feel what you felt. That's why he changed his name to James and assumed Nathan died in the accident.” Daniel's Story.

Natasha who is still faithful to hear the words of her brother tried to remember the event but everything looks faint, as if the memory of the event is lost.

“Tasya, promise me. Don't call James with Nathan anymore. Okay?” Pinta Daniel stared fixedly at Natasha.

“Okey.” Natasha nodded.

Daniel's smile seemed to see that his brother was no longer moody. He also hugs Natasha. My sister is the most loved.

“I love you Natasha. I will always protect you.” Whisper Daniel.
