The Winter Man

The Winter Man
#109 The Benjamin Family

Magma walks into Benjamin's house after his father calls that Bayuni has fallen ill again.

Since Yura's departure, Bayuni has often fallen ill. Moreover, Magma also returned to Spain on the grounds that his company had long been abandoned.

"Mom ..." Magma sat at the side of the bed holding her mother's hand which was hot.

The sleeping Bayuni slowly opened her eyes looking at her son. "Magma .." he said weakly.

"Dad, Mom ate?" magma asked Benjamin who was standing nearby.

"Have taken medicine too. But Mommy sleeps a lot, rest is necessary but your Mommy sleeps excessively. That's what keeps his head spinning" Benjamin said.

Magma sighed then looked back at Bayuni. "Mom, how many times have I told you. Do not sleep continuously, try if healthy later exercise as before, eat healthy food, sunbathe, do not stay in the room continue."

"If you don't sleep, you can't meet Yura" she said in a weak voice.

Magma looked at her father. Again, Yura who became the reason Bayuni continued to sleep. Because the middle-aged woman always wanted to meet her daughter even in a dream.

"Mom ... Yura is sad to know Mom continues to be sick like this" said Magma.

"You know your sister died, you ran away to Spain!" cry out Benjamin in annoyance.

Magma clucking. "Already, Dad. Don't fight anymore because of that."

"You're more concerned with the company than your own parents, Magma!" hardik Benjamin's.

"There's something important I need to take care of there, Dad."

"What's? every time Dad asks you never answer!"

"It is ... already ..." Bayuni said in a weak voice while holding her dizzy forehead.

If you have discussed the problem of Magma moving back to Spain, her husband must always be noisy with Magma.

"Mom .. I'm sorry .. I promise I'll stay here again, but not now. I have to clean something up there first." Magma stroked her mother's hand.

Bayuni nodded weakly.

Magma helps Bayuni get up and Benjamin immediately brings the wheelchair in the corner of the room. Magma carried her mother in a wheelchair and pushed her to the front porch.

Magma only wanted Bayuni out of the room, occasionally feeling the air outside like she used to. Because Bayuni rarely came out after Yura died.

On the front porch, Magma sat in a chair and wheelchair Bayuni beside her.

"This ..." Benjamin gave a plate of fruits to Magma. Then the middle-aged man went back into the house.

Magma took it and kept it on the table. He then chose to peel the mango for his mother.

"Magma ..."

"Yes?" Magma.

"You like to miss your sister?" ask Bayuni.

"Surely Mom," said Magma with a smile and then peeled back the mango.

"Mom remembers she can't take medicine ..." Bayuni smiled as she recalled her daughter who always ran away when told to take medicine, until Yura locked herself in the bathroom to not take medicine.

"He was always screaming, running until Mom and Dad had to chase the kid into the bathroom ..." Bayuni smiled with teary eyes. He sighed heavily, tight every day if he remembered the face of his beloved daughter.

Magma looked at her mother who was crying. The feeling of not being able to see the Bayuni like that.

"If only he lived again. Mom wants to hug him every day even though he's not Mommy's real son, but Mommy loves him very much. The happy yura ... Yura who is always hysterical when she sees Nathan on tv, Yura who always hides snacks in her room because Mommy always forbids her snacks outside ..."

Hearing that Magma turned her face away, could not bear to see her mother's face blankly recounting her memories with Yura. Though it had been almost three years more Yura died, but her mother had no change at all, instead getting worse with constant pain.

"Mom ..." Magma looked back. "Mom must be healthy .. in order to meet Yura again."

"In a dream?" tanya Bayuni with one eyebrow raised up.

Magma did not answer, she just tried to give strength to her mother by stroking Bayuni's hand.
