001: The Cliff of the God's Gorge
Morning is the end of a night whose presence is marked by the appearance of golden rays. The sun is present emitting its warm rays, breaking down the cold mist that covers the surface of nature.
The same thing happened to a valley in the imperial territory of Wu. The valley, widely known as the Valley of Gods, is the site of one of the largest white flow sects, the Valley of Gods Sect.
The God Valley Sect had stood since five hundred years ago. Currently the sect had an area equivalent to a small town. With the disciples numbering three thousand more, making the atmosphere of morning silence slowly turn boisterous with various activities.
Several hundred students appeared to be training in Sect Square accompanied by teachers who also served as Sect Elders.
Not far from the square, stands the largest and grandest building of hundreds of other buildings that exist throughout the valley. The building was the Sect Hall which was the meeting place for the administrators of the God Valley Sect.
On the left side of the hall there is a house that is quite magnificent even with the general size of an ordinary house. The house was the residence of the Sect Chief as well as a place to meditate and do closed exercises.
About three hundred meters away from the residence of the sect head, there was a deep abyss. The location of the ravine was connected to the footpath of the Sect Hall.
The bottomless abyss was known as the God's Gorge. On the different side of the God's Gorge there are towering cliffs with steep rocks. The cliff is called the Cliff of the God's Cliff.
Meanwhile, inside one of the rooms in the Sect Chief's residence, there appeared to be an elderly man sitting cross-legged in meditation he had been doing since three days ago.
The man, who had all his hair turned white, was wearing a golden-yellow robe with a black Circle with the image of a white dragon inside.
The man was widely known in the martial world of the Wu Empire under the name Guo Jin. Guo Jin had served as the head of the God Valley Sect for over thirty years.
Guo Jin's age was actually over a hundred years old.but due to his high inner strength, he looked like a Sixties-year-old man.
Guo Jin did meditation not because he was doing a closed-door exercise, but to calm his heart. A few days ago he had a nervousness for which he had no known cause.
By meditating, Guo Jin hopes to eliminate his anxiety and find the cause.
But until noon on the third day, his anxiety has not disappeared, even more so. Guo Jin finally decided to end his meditation.
As he exited the meditation room to cleanse himself, a voice he recognized as the voice of Ma Hua who served as the Supreme Elder.
"Honor to the Sect Chief, please have permission to meet with the chairman" Ma Hua's voice sounded from behind the front door.
Guo Jin shook his hand, and the door of his residence opened. It appeared that Ma Hua and dozens of other Elders were kneeling before the door while cupping both of his hands in front.
The faces of the elders were seen implying an unusual panic, making Guo Jin frown. His anxiety these few days turned into a bad premonition.
"There's what Elder Ma is... Why do your faces look so panicked?" guo Jin asked as he was at his doorstep..
"Elder ... above the Cliffs of the God's Gorge there was a strange cloud phenomenon, a plume of black clouds accompanied by...."
JEDDAAAAARR!!!!
This was the biggest lightning bolt they had heard for decades they lived. The lightning that made their hearts seem to stop beating in a second.
A few seconds later, there was a rumbling sound from behind the building like the sound of moving rocks. Along with the rumbling sound, Guo Jin felt a powerful radiance of energy. Even though the energy was only felt for one second.
This made Guo Jin immediately dart at his full speed towards the God's Abyss. Guo Jin's body science had reached a high level, so that in just ten seconds he had reached the edge of the God's Gorge which was three hundred meters away from his residence.
Meanwhile, Elder Ma Hua ordered the twenty other Elders to gather all the disciples in the Sect square to be on standby with any other possible possibilities.
Following which, along with nine other elders, Elder Ma Hua darted towards the God's Abyss at full speed to catch up with their Sect Chief .
Not until one minute, the group of Elders Ma Hua had arrived at the edge of the God's Gorge where it was seen that their sect leader was standing.
The elder Ma Hua and the others were astonished with widened eyes looking at the strange phenomenon before them.
A cluster of black clouds the size of a house, seems to be moving down towards the Cliff of the God's Gorge which is thirty meters high.
Even though the weather is very clear today, there is no one cloudy except the black cloud. The clouds emit small golden lightning bolts with a length of one to two meters from the black cloud.
Meanwhile, the Cliff of the God's Cliff experienced a landslide that caused the erosion of a three-meter-thick cliff section.
The thing that makes them stunned is the rock and the landslide did not fall into the ravine, but floated and formed a bridge that was about two meters wide.
The bridge connects the plains they incandescent with the Cliffs of the God's Gorge with a length of about twenty meters.
Another peculiarity that occurs is the appearance of a small hole with a diameter of Fifty centimeters on the walls of the God's Cliff. On the hole was a kind of white fog that occasionally splashed a small golden lightning bolt.
This strange phenomenon, made the Elders of the God Valley Sect who had come to the Gorge of the God Valley, filled with various questions in his mind. Not so with their Sect Chief.
Guo Jin stared at the strange phenomenon with a smile adorned with a hint of worry.
His smile was created from the knowledge he read from the Green Scroll that was the Sect's Secret Scroll. A secret known only to those who served as the Sect Chief of the Valley of Gods.
"It turns out the news from the Green Scroll is true... Am I in a match with the God Heirloom?, I should take this opportunity. But if I'm not a matchmaker, will I die being struck by that lightning and fall into the God's Gorge?" Guo Jin's mind was worried as he stared at the Lightning Mist Bridge that stretched before him.
After thinking for a while, Guo Jin finally decided to give it a try. Then slowly he exerted seventy percent of his strength and made a deep power shield to protect his body.
A huge deep energy aura immediately spread within a radius of several meters of his body. This made Elder Ma Hua and the others feel a tightness in their breath.
