Emily's death was a blow to the Night family. He is like leaving behind a pile of disgrace that will always be remembered for his family.
He was immediately buried behind closed doors to avoid a large number of journalists crowding their homes. Even only attended by all residents of the house, as well as close relatives, and do not receive visits from outsiders.
The more painful thing is that the older sister Kate Morning–Jerry Morning– did not even attend the funeral. Although, Emily is the only niece, but death that leaves a disgrace makes Jerry reluctant to get dragged into it. Especially now that his reputation has been back up among the public.
Jerry prefers to work in his room, rather than visiting his grieving sister. I don't know what the man's heart is made of, but this is the true nature of Jerry Morning.
A moment later, there was a knock coming from outside his door.
"Lake in!"
A man who had not long ago become his assistant began to step into the room. "Sir" he said, bowing respectfully as usual.
"What's wrong?" Jerry stopped his work to stare at the assistant with a piercing glint of an eye.
"Are you not attending Mr Barron's daughter's funeral?" The man tried to be careful in speaking. Jerry's eyes made him very uncomfortable as a man.
"No. Do you want to arrange me?" Jerry stood up from his position, stepping around until he was in front of the assistant. He leaned against his desk while observing the young man in front of him.
"No, Mister. Then excuse me for running the errand back." He leaned back and rushed out of the room.
Jerry did not reply and still focused on looking at the man from behind. Unknowingly a laughable grin was clearly drawn on his face. If others saw, it would definitely goosebumps.
Long enough he no longer plays after the death of Tom Evening, then what's the harm in trying new toys. It's just that it might be troublesome if until this thing spreads to the public. Should every man who accompanied her be killed?
Unknowingly a smile and laughter came out from the old man's rotten lips. I don't know what demons possessed him until his heart even interested in men compared to women. It is rare to find someone like him.
However, it was only for a short while because of the arrival of someone who always reported every information of the underworld to him.
"Get out!" Jerry returned to his flat expression and looked at the subordinate who had long been the source of the information.
"Sir."
"Say!"
"Johny deployed some of his men to capture Tom Evening's daughter." The flat-faced man with a fairly young age began to report on his investigation. Jerry became a hidden dog from childhood to keep an eye on the people around the man, including Brian and Johny.
"Really, that means the girl is now in her hands?"
The man shook his head. "They failed."
A nameplate made of glass on the table was instantly thrown by Jerry. The sound of shards was heard so loud that it filled the room. Sharp bells scattered irregularly, his face reddened with anger that erupted in his blood, to make the old man's muscles tighten.
"Stupid, stupid, stupid?!" Repeatedly Jerry cursed, venting resentment at whatever was in front of him. "Is he so stupid that catching one little girl just can't?"
The stuff in the room started to drift out of place, Jerry was really rampaging and throwing all the objects. Not only because of the news he heard, but also because of all the conditions lately. Problems always come, nothing goes according to plan, and only bad news comes.
"Something seems to be protecting the girl, sir."
"Brian's ex-wife" he answered flatly.
"You mean, that woman got away with Brian's ex-wife?" Jerry stared intently at the flat-faced man in front of him, no lies were drawn there. However, how could a woman be so difficult to catch.
"Yes, they almost managed to kill all of Brian's men, but some managed to escape first."
A smile began to be painted on the man's face, he did not expect that Brian's ex-wife would be that great. If indeed women were tough, then why did Marcopolo oppose and try to separate them. Wouldn't it be better to pull him into this group.
"But, Mister. He's with a woman from the Bannerick family."
The smile on his face disappeared hearing this. Not without reason, but the Bannericks were the only family he would not be able to touch because they themselves were too strong and moved in a supernatural way.
"You mean?" Jerry tries to reconfirm the intent of his men. It is impossible for Bannerick to interfere in this if he does not know them.
"It looks like Brian's ex-wife is already part of the Bannerick family."
"Examine it more clearly. If it's true that woman is the son-in-law of the Bannerick family, find out her weakness!" An evil grin was clearly drawn on his face. If you can not work with Jessi, then do not blame if she will make the woman as one of Brian's weaknesses later. "Brian would go crazy knowing this."
"Good, Sir." After that the man then left the room, while Jerry punched the table next to him hard causing a wound on his hand.
"Patricia, Mary."
All this time, he thought that the main cause of Tom Evening's death was Mary because it was the woman who secretly knew the secrets of the two of them. However, the thing that still confused him, how could the woman get out of the mental hospital.
Actually Jerry asked him to just kill the woman a long time ago. However, Tom Evening always rejected it for various reasons.
Now look, you died at the hands of that woman! Jerry clenched his hands tightly, with wide eyes he was a man who hated women.
Tom was the only person to have accompanied him since the death of his wife. Losing the woman was a blow to Jerry Morning, he gave all his love to a low-caste woman.
His family disapproved of their relationship because he came from a poor family. That is why all the ways done by his mother to separate a young husband and wife.
One day he finds betrayal, his wife is in a hotel with another man. Anger made him blind and tortured his wife, so that the woman preferred to leave her life without explaining the real events.
In fact, all that was just part of his mother's plan to separate a pair of people who were still warm.
Until now, Jerry still does not know where his wife is after the fateful incident. He's like losing interest in women and even straying at his own best friend–Tom Evening.
Only fate knows how his love story ran aground because of the blessing of his parents. Many times his family returned to match with women who were equal to the Morning family.
However, his heart was already injured, he could no longer feel the love of a woman. In addition to his previous wife. Unknowingly remembering it caused pain in Jerry's heart. He slammed down on the floor with warm circles that began to condense in the eye rims.
He cupped both hands in his old face. Regret dwells memories, not knowing the real events make him hate the women. Jerry began to sob in his tears, calling out the one name that had been stuck in his heart. Leaves a scar for nearly thirty years.
"Stephanie."
