After accepting all that reality, Jessi and Nich move towards Jane's apartment. She needed to ask something before acting because she did not want her brother to always be overshadowed with guilt for the rest of her life.
Upon arrival in front of the apartment, Jessi's hand knocked on the door from the outside loudly while shouting. "Jane, open the door!"
Once shouted there was no answer from within. "Jane open the door fast!" Twice banged still no legit.
"Jane open it fast or I'll flatten this place!" The third time Jessi kicked the door was strong because of annoyance, until soon Jane was seen opening the door with a pale face.
"You're so noisy." His voice sounded so soft, even his eyes looked soft.
"Jane, Jane what's wrong with you?" Jessi cupped her hands together in Jane's face frantically at how pale her sister was for the first time. However, the woman did not have a fever.
"I'm fine, let's go in!" They also enter the apartment, it looks like the place is no longer neat as usual.
Things are falling apart on the floor, it looks like Jane just destroyed this place, causing Nich and Jessi to widen their eyes.
"Darling, can you buy us some food?" Jessi needs time to have a one-on-one conversation with Jane and Nich understands that. He went back out leaving the two bloodless brothers in the apartment.
Jessi cleans things on the couch first, allowing Jane to lie there looking at her unhealthy condition.
"Did something happen?" jessi asked as she covered Jane's feet with a cloth next to her.
Jane just stared fixedly at Jessi without blinking a single time. His mind floated out of nowhere as he recalled the terrible thing that had happened with the Alexander family. The woman then took her hand out of the blanket, clasping her sister's hand tightly.
"I'm sorry." Jane's voice sounded raucous and stifling, eyes moist signify the woman has been crying for a long time. A scrape of regret over what happened was clearly visible on his face. Even the lingering wounds of the battle were still imprinted on his cheeks.
They immediately hugged each other, growing together since childhood made the two have a bond that was even stronger than siblings.
"It's not all your fault, brother. Here you are also the victim." Jessi clearly knows how Jane lives alone with the wounds she has always hidden, even though the woman tries to toughen up and close her problems, but anyone can certainly see clearly if Jane is actually the most injured person due to the actions of Jerry Morning.
"I am his daughter, how much I deny it is still true." The tears were Jane's cheeks remembering all this. Jessi immediately let go of her embrace, holding both of her shoulders firmly.
"Look at me! Didn't you hear it yourself that she doesn't even admit to having children!" Jessi spoke resolutely and stared intently at her reluctant older sister looking at her for the first time. "Look at me, Jane! Be aware!"
"Did she know you were her daughter all this time, huh? Even when I said that out loud she denied it! Then why do you feel guilty about it?" Jessi's voice sounded so loud that filled the room, if only this apartment was not soundproofed, there would definitely be reports due to their commotion.
"Because in my body the same blood flows as her. Even though he doesn't acknowledge me, but I would never exist in this world without him." Jane's voice is no less loud than Jessi and this is the first time she snapped at her beloved sister. "Whatever I deny, he's still my mother's husband."
Both are teary-eyed, as the family of the victim and also the perpetrator who lived side by side for many years to make both hurt each other if only selfish and vengeful.
"I've always thought of you as my brother long ago, now, and forever. So, let me remain your sister as before." Jessi stared firmly, the face of the brother in front of her.
For him there is nothing more important in this world than the family he now has. Compared to having to dissolve in revenge, even if Jane asks him to release Jerry Morning, Jessi is willing to do so.
Jane has been looking after her since childhood, giving her love beyond her own life. Brother who is always there at any time in his life, when conditions are happy or sad, obey every desire Jessi selflessly.
Anyone could definitely see the sincerity that Jane gave her sister. So, Jessi will also do anything for her brother, including forgetting the grudge for the death of her family if it is her brother's wish.
"Will you still be my sister, Jane?" Without hesitation Jane nodded quickly accompanied by a torrent of tears. They hugged each other again to strengthen the hearts that were both wounded.
Tears washed the faces of the two, putting out all the burdens that stuck in the hearts long enough. A few moments later, the two calmed down.
"What are you gonna do to him?" ask Jane.
"This time I'll let you make a decision."
"You sure?"
There was a rough gasp of breath from Jessi, the woman smilingly looked at the older brother as she grabbed his hand. "Although he was very mean to my family. But, she's lucky to have such a great daughter like you. Without you, I'm nothing, and you're worth more than my revenge."
Jessi said all of that sincerely. Jane never asked him for anything. So, if the brother wants Jerry Morning's freedom, he will.
However, Jessi is wrong, Jane doesn't want that. She's a man of justice, so she won't ask her sister to spare Jerry's life because she deserves it.
"Do what you want!" Jane clenched her fingers in Jessi's palm. "He was guilty and you deserve to punish him. But, leave his last life to me!"
"You sure that's all you want?"
Jane nodded, as Jessi still considered herself a sister, she would also always make her a sister, so forever. "You're free to do anything to the old man. Like you said, he never thought I existed. So let all this be our secret."
A beautiful smile on Jane's face at the end of her sentence. There was not the slightest regret saying that, even though there was pain because it was not recognized, but everything was Jerry Morning's choice.
