Since learning that Jane was conscious, Damien even more away from her and never again show the trunk of her nose. However, the woman did not seem to care about the man. For him the most important thing at this time is the healing of his beloved Jessi–adik.
Although Jane does not know what motive Damien approached her, but she is quite self-conscious if her biological father is the source of the havoc that occurred so far, to make the situation become chaotic. Though none of this was the woman's fault, no one could choose who their parents were. For him, mistakes are still mistakes.
What Jerry Morning does will still affect him no matter how much he denies it. Damien's feelings can only hurt both of them if they force him to be together and Jane can clearly see how much he's suffering from Jerry. So he chose also to stay away from the man's life without hesitation.
Jane stood by the glass of her room, gazing out into the dark night filled with city lights, stroking a necklace pendant that coiled around her neck. His gaze stared far away in the silence of the night. The height of the building makes the hustle and bustle of the city inaudible in this room.
Grandma Amber stepped closer to him slowly. "Is there anything you're thinking, honey?" He said it sounded so soft, the old woman grabbed the hand of her grandson who was no longer attached to an infusion needle.
"Grandma's not asleep?" Jane looked at him slowly.
The daydream made the woman not realize that the grandmother was already nearby. Previously he moved when Grandma Amber looked asleep, but unexpectedly it turned out that the grandmother was also still awake.
Grandma Amber just shook her head slowly. "Is there anything that bothers you?"
Unknowingly, Grandma Amber's question managed to make clear circles gathered in Jane's eye patch. The pain and guilt seemed to hit him very hard, making his chest pain and difficult to breathe. Jessi's condition that has not yet recovered makes the woman tormented by birth and inner.
He immediately brought the body closer to the grandmother, hugged her tightly and shed all the tears on the old shoulder. Jane's body trembled with an endless sobbing of tears with a crystal-clear circle rushing down her cheeks.
Jane's heart seemed torn to shreds, if until something bad happens to her sister she won't even forgive herself. Even willing to replace it with his life because for Jane, there is nothing more precious in this world than the happiness of Jessi and Grandma Amber.
"Jessi, Grandma." With as much reluctance the woman began to let out her heart. An invisible dagger hit his heart impregnated and left only an excruciating pain.
Grandma Amber who felt the sadness of her grandson could only rub Jane's back slowly. "It's not your fault, honey. All this has become the fate of fate."
Sadness also enveloped the old woman's heart, being between two grandchildren who were both injured, both physically and heart made Grandma Amber very aware of their burden.
Two bloodless, but affectionate brothers from childhood must accept the fact that fate is too cruel for their second family.
Jane has never felt what a father's affection is since birth. She only had a mother until she was finally thwarted when she was ten years old. While Jessi, do not know how to care for her parents since childhood, but still have Grandma Amber with him.
"Why is fate so cruel, Grandma? Why would he hurt Jessi? Why not just me?" The deeper the cry of the woman on the shoulders of her grandmother, to make the old shoulder wet with tears and snot from the grandson who spilled everything.
"But it's all my fault, Grandma. If it wasn't for the old man's greed, Jessi wouldn't have lost her family." Jane's heartbreaking cry for the first time broke the hearts of anyone who heard it.
The woman never once cried over what had happened to her all this time. Even he was so strong when the mother left him alone in this world, until finally they gathered into a family that loved each other.
"Ssttt! Relax, Honey! His greed is not your fault. Grandma's sure Jessi knows all this. But, look! He's not hostile to you and keeps your feelings in check by not fighting that guy the way Jessi overcomes her usual enemies." Amber's grandmother kept stroking her grandson's back, giving her parental composure so that Jane would no longer blame herself. "You should be sure Jessi recovers soon."
"But, because of all this, she's hurt, Grandma."
"Look, Grandma!" Grandma Amber cupped both hands on her granddaughter's cheeks, looking closely at Jane's eye circles that have now been red and swollen due to tears since. "You should be sure your sister can recover soon! She's a strong woman, and so is your niece-to-be. So, don't blame yourself for what you didn't do!"
Hearing Grandma Amber Jane's explanation grew sobbing and hugged her tightly again. The old woman was the greatest person who managed to educate both of them to become what they are today. A source of strength and also the most valuable thing for Jane and Jessi so far. Beyond anything that belongs to them.
"Now calm down, yes! You also need to rest, your body has just recovered, if you think too much and get sick again, who will take care of your sister tomorrow?" Jane nodded slowly.
Grandma Amber also helped Jane move to bed. They were indeed placed in one room at the request of Grandma Amber herself after recovering. He was certain that this one grandson would be more mentally injured than physically.
Remembering his very loving nature to his sister. It is not impossible if Jane is able to act recklessly and hurt herself because of guilt. The woman suffered facial damage from the Bazooka explosion that day. But he did not mind it because the most important thing is Jessi's recovery.
Meanwhile, the outside room Damien who heard and saw everything could only sit on the floor while also feeling guilty. She didn't expect Jane would be that dear to her sister.
"I'm sorry." said the man, crying in silence.
His grudge had been misdirected and his heart was also wounded by his own actions. During this time Damien always keep Jane from the outdoors every night. He did not dare to approach and just looked at it from the outside, making sure if the woman would be alright.
However, Damien did not expect that Jane was still a woman who could be injured, and he was injured when he saw Jessi was still unconscious. Just like himself.
"I'm sorry." That was the only sentence he was able to say while ruffling his own hair.
