I Love You, My Bodyguard

I Love You, My Bodyguard
Chapter 6

Jasmine could only put on a smile, a smile that seemed to hold back both resentment and anger at hearing such a stupid question being issued by the press against her. Does the press want to turn this conference into a fight or debate? If so, actually Jasmine just want to serve it.

But unfortunately, Jasmine chose not to fight because the woman who had a caucasian face herself was aware that her resistance could have damaged her own reputation even further, so in the end Jasmine sighed and said, "let's just move on to the next question."

Unfortunately, it seems that the reporter who asked Jasmine was reluctant to release Jasmine to the next question without a response that could bring the woman down. I don't know, maybe the journalist has a personal vendetta with Jasmine or maybe it does have a hobby of bringing down others, where in this case it is Jasmine who is a public figure.

"Why do you refuse to answer my question? The question I'm asking is very simple, where even elementary schoolers can answer quickly."

The reporter put up a sneer, as if he was trying to drop Jasmine's self-esteem following the reputation of the woman through his own questions.

Of course Jasmine was not that stupid to be provoked by the ridiculous talk of a local news reporter, making that one woman just put on a thin smile, looking straight at the super annoying reporter half-dead, then said, "You think, if an elementary schooler can answer that question, so why don't you just ask the school boy? Moreover, the question you forced me to answer was a question that was really far from the problem that was going on, so I felt reluctant to answer."

Now it was the poor reporter's turn to be silent. Why was she determined to force Jasmine to answer, when Jasmine could have turned the question back to knock her down? The reporter felt stupid, while Jasmine was happy about not having to answer such a question.

"Is there a next question?" Jasmine switched, staring straight at the entire reporter who was estimated to have tens in the room that could not be said to be truly large. "If not, then I think it's enough of me, and it also means this conference has ended."

A female reporter, who was seen wearing a set of official clothes and rectangular-shaped glasses got up and stood up from her seat, stared straight at Jasmine while holding a piece of paper that seemed to contain a question. "You think, if in the end Amon and his wife, Jessica, get divorced after all these scandals, and you still don't want to admit that you're involved in this scandal, who is the person responsible for this problem?"

Again a silly and stupid question, Jasmine to tired herself hearing questions that always corner her in a variety of annoying ways. I don't know, Jasmine had grown tired of press conferences that looked more like press crews trying to ruin the poor woman's reputation.

The long answer issued by Jasmine at that time also contained a final request or order from the woman who had the face of caucasia herself in order that she would not be constantly and continuously involved in a scandal that was not even his business at all, but was able to destroy the poor woman's reputation slowly and difficult to take care of. It's annoying and disgusting, actually.

The reporters who heard the final answer from Jasmine also fell silent because they understood that Jasmine really felt reluctant to die at a press conference that was more like a press event for the press trying to ruin the poor woman's reputation at this point. No one dared to open his mouth, even just talking to fellow journalists no one dared to do this, which made the room so quiet and silent.

"Because I don't think I have anything else to answer here, I hereby declare that this press conference is over. I hope the answer I gave you has made you feel satisfied and stopped interfering with my personal life."

Without making any small talk at all, Jasmine stepped off the podium and walked with Marshel to leave the room where the press conference was going, without the slightest care for the reporter who started to move after the woman to ask her various other ridiculous things, which was even just a question of origin the voice said to Jasmine.

"Young lady, Simon is waiting for you at the drop-off point in this place, I will protect you until you get there. Is there anything you want to do after this?" Marshel asked as he gently took Jasmine's petite frail hand, taking the woman away from the hell-like place.

Jasmine was just speechless, seemingly still feeling very upset over what had happened earlier, she said, so choose to ignore the questions that have been asked by the man who has a tall and stocky body and brown hair and green eyes.

Of course Marshel wasn't too dizzy if Jasmine chose to ignore him, given what had happened at the press conference just now, she said, it was only natural that Jasmine felt annoyed half to death over that absolutely ridiculous and stupid-sounding question.

"I guess I just want to go home and relax at home, I don't want to go anywhere in a situation like this." Jasmine replied in a flat tone, reluctant to reveal her own emotions while continuing to walk with Marshel who had always protected the very beautiful woman.
