CHAPTER 22

After six hours, the Emperor and Ryu arrived at the coastal area. Their time is longer two hours because of road improvements at some points of the road to their destination and make them have to experience traffic jams because of the enactment of open and close roads.

"Your tired will be replaced by seeing my mother-in-law's face, Key." Ryu said with a smile.

"The mother-in-law you call my mother, Ry." Reply to the Emperor in a flat tone as usual.

Ryu laughed, "You're my sister-in-law's candidate, from the department to brother-in-law."

The Emperor turned his head towards Ryu at a glance, "What if Keiina doesn't come to accept you?"

Ryu glared sharply, "Hey, don't make my confidence fade!! What are you not helping me anyway?" Ryu said in an annoyed tone.

The Emperor sighed, "I trust you, you never play with women, your family is also very kind, and you can definitely take care of Keiina." The emperor paused his sentence for a moment. "But Keiina is my sister, I want to make her happy, don't want to force her." Another imbibing.

After some time passed, now their car is percis in front of a simple cake shop owned by Adelia. The Emperor's eyes were fixed on the door of a cake shop made of glass. The emperor rubbed his nape a sign of uneasiness in the middle of his arms.

"Are you okay, Key?" Ryu asked a little worried.

The Emperor sighed, "After more than twenty years." He said for a moment, "I can see Mama back."

Ryu understood the condition of his friend. "Your happiness is in sight, Key."

The Emperor smiled faintly, he took out a hat and mask from the bag he had prepared beforehand.

"Why wear a mask?" Ask Ryu.

"I want Mama to realize my presence is closer to her." The Emperor answered and put on a mask that covered part of his face as well as his hat.

Ryu shrugged his shoulders, "I'll help lobby your Mama."

Then they both got out of the car. "Sir, take a break at the diner over there, chances are me and Key are a little longer, I'll call you when I'm done." Ryu said to the driver while showing the restaurant twenty meters from Adelia's cake shop.

The emperor saw and read the inscription on the nameplate of the cake shop that read "K&K Cake Shop" the Emperor smiled. "Ry, K&K means Emperor and Keiina." He said softly and Ryu nodded in agreement.

"Later I'll make a hospital with the name K&R Medika." Answer it while raising the bow.

The emperor scrunched his forehead,

Ryu laughed, "Keiina and Ryu Medika." He spoke lightly and made the Emperor shake his head.

"Let's go in." Take Ryu.

They step foot into the cake shop that is not too crowded at his hour, many visitors who buy cakes just to take home as by by.

"There's an empty table, Key." Said Ryu who circulated his gaze.

The emperor followed him and his eyes kept watch over the contents of the cake shop looking for the figure he had longed for.

"You seem to be inside, probably going out, because the store's not too crowded." Ryu's words calmed the Emperor's worries.

"Doctor Ryu." Sapa Adelia who approached Ryu and the Emperor's table.

Ryu stood up and kissed the back of Adelia's hand as a sign of respect. While the Emperor looked up his head to Adelia's face, despite some wrinkles on her face, Adelia still looked beautiful.

"Good afternoon, Auntie." Greet Ryu kindly.

"A late afternoon, visiting the clinic?" Ask Adelia again.

Ryu nodded, "You guys saw the construction of the hospital as well." Answer Ryu.

Adelia smiled kindly, "What do you want to order?" Ask.

"Tante didn't ask Keiina?" Ask Ryu.

Adelia laughed a little, "Half an hour ago, Keii just called me." The answer made Ryu feel embarrassed.

Ryu scratched his nape.

"Would you like to eat something?" Ask Adelia again.

"We want lemon cake." Ryu.

"Sadly, lemon cake ran out this afternoon, it's late and it's about to close, there's not a lot of cake options available." Adelia said regretfully.

"My friend loves lemon cake." Reply Ryu while glancing towards the Emperor.

Adelia turned her head towards the Emperor and the Emperor stood up.

"I'm sorry, you guys came too late." Adelia said to the Emperor.

"Am I late?" The Emperor asked Adelia from behind her mask.

The late Emperor meant to find out Adelia's whereabouts.

Adelia looked into the Emperor's eyes, the same eyeballs as Keiina, her daughter.

Adelia narrowed her eyes trying to remember the sad look, her hands just stretched out trying to open the mask covering part of the Emperor's face. The Emperor's hand grabbed Adelia's hand that had not touched her mask. One of the Emperor's hands opened the mask in his ear and removed it. He also opened his hat while the other hand held Adelia's hand.

Adelia's tears just fell when she saw the handsome face she recognized, "Kai..." Adelia Lirih.

"Am I late to find Mama? Hem?" The Emperor asked in a whisper and could not hold back his tears.

"Emperor, my son." Adelia said then the Emperor pulled Adelia into his arms.

"Mama..." The Emperor hugged Mama tightly and drowned her face on Adelia's shoulders.

"I'm sorry Mama, Kai.. Mama's been spending a lot of time with you." Adelia continued to sob in the arms of the son who was now larger than herself.

"Kai's coming, Ma.. Kai will make Mama happy, Kai promised." Say Kai. "I'm sorry Kai found Mama too late, I'm sorry Kai, Ma.."

Ryu rubbed the corner of his wet tail, he was so moved to see the heartwarming scene of the meeting between mother and child who had been separated for a long time, lucky that Ryu had come to Adelia's cake shop gradually quietened, more and more quiet, there are only a few people who choose cakes, this is all because the time is already late afternoon and close to the closing hours of the store.
