Delirious

An hour or so Daniel sat restlessly in front of a glass door with a chaotic mind. It was hard for him to look ordinary in the midst of anxiety. His face was currently no different from that of a convict in a trial. So scared.

"Quiet a little, Rani must be fine." Aris' words did not necessarily make Daniel calmer. The man had trauma about the operating room. A few years ago, the mother breathed her last on the operating table, and now Daniel feels the same fear.

A brightly lit light that was directly above the door was instantly extinguished, indicating the operation was over. Daniel took a deep breath. However, instead of decreasing, the anxiety that was drawn on his face was even more obvious. 

As soon as the door opened, he immediately stood up from his seat and stepped up limped. Approaching a green-clothed woman who had just walked out of the room. 

“How, Doctor?” ask the three people compactly. 

"The operation is running smoothly, the patient's condition is also stable. But for now it's not conscious because it's still under the influence of drugs."

Surely all the feelings of fear that had earlier bent Daniel. He can breathe a sigh of relief now.

A few hours passed

Daniel dragged his feet into the room where Rani was lying. It was four hours after the operation, but the woman did not notice.

Daniel dropped his body on the chair beside the patient's bed and stared fixedly at the face. He still remembers how brave and strong Rani was able to make him forget the whole world.

However, before him now was only a weak body with a pale face with dry lips.

"You just go home, let me accompany him here," he told Gembul who looked very tired. "I'll have Aris drive you."

"No. I'm gonna wait for Rani to wake up."

"Then just rest." Daniel pointed at the sofa bed in the corner of the room. However, the Bulb remained reluctant. He decided to stay by Rani's side.

“Mother ..” Rani's weak voice made Daniel stunned. Somehow hearing Rani call her mother created pain.

Gembul then rubbed the top of his cousin's sister's head.

“What's with Rani? Why does he keep delirious?” daniel asked worriedly after several times hearing Rani muttering.

Daniel's intuition encouraged him to rub the woman's forehead. He also felt Rani's body temperature was quite high.

“You told me doctor?” 

 Puffiness. “Today. The doctor said it was only after the operation. Already given medicine kok.” 

The bulge wrapped Rani's body with a blanket to protect her from the cold. In addition to fever and delirium, Rani is also seen shivering.

“Mother ..” muttered Rani again somehow for the second time.

Daniel looked at her. The memory of the man was immediately fixed on Aunt Ambar. A gentle and affectionate woman who has always supported her desire to marry her daughter.

Aunty Ambar also often send photos of Rani and tell the habits of her daughter. So Daniel really memorized what kind of character Rani, what she likes and how her daily life although never close before.

“By the way, Rani's mother died of what illness?” tanyakanya.

"What do you mean?" Daniel seemed to be guessing the direction of the Gembul talk.

"Don't pretend you don't know as if you're a victim."

Although Gembul continued to attack him with satire, Daniel tried to restrain himself. "What happened to Aunt Ambar?"

The bulge glanced at Daniel at a glance, with a gaze that seemed like it wanted to pounce on him.

“Heart attack!” the answer is short with a breath. “Just after your man came and told you to cancel the wedding for no reason.” 

The Bulb's answer made Daniel's body crumble. His heart is like a squeeze.
