Daniel dragged his feet into a tall building. Several times he almost fell to maintain his body balance due to the slippery marble floor. His breathing began to be heavy, but he did not heed it at all.
He stopped when he arrived in front of an elevator. Aris who arrived first already pressed the button on the panel. While Daniel counted the seconds that passed while managing a stingy breath.
With great hope, it is not too late.
Ting!
Elevator door opens. Making the two handsome men immediately swing their feet in. The journey from the first floor to the twentieth floor was very long for Daniel.
“You're sure Juna is inside?” daniel asked shortly after Aris pressed the apartment bell.
“Jovan said Juna lives here with his wife.”
Both waited a while. Before the door finally opened, followed by the appearance of a male figure. Daniel's eyes stare at the man who had been rumored to be close to Rani some time ago.
"I'm sorry, what's needed, huh?"
"Not pretend to be stupid! You must know what we need here."
If Daniel looked serious and was more likely to show anger, the man seemed relaxed. As if there were no meaningful problems.
Aris pushed the man's body against the wall. Clutching the collar of Juna's shirt until his feet tiptoed due to a strong pull.
“What is this? If there is a problem let's talk about it carefully!”
It felt as if Daniel's entire body was being devoured by fire hearing the relaxed tone of the man's mouth. However, he tried to quell, because by force, he would get nothing.
“Detach him, Ris?” Daniel's orders.
Makes Aris loosen his grip. But still raised a sharp gaze that seemed to be able to split Juna's body into two parts.
“Where is Rani?” Without further ado, Daniel made his point of visiting the man.
Juna still had time to tidy up his shirt that was tangled due to being pulled by Aris. "Rani?" tanyanya relax. "Why are you asking me?"
“Once again I ask, where is Rani? You were the last person to come into contact with him,” asked Daniel. This time with a face that was more frightening than before. However, Juna remained relaxed. He even seemed not afraid even though the man in front of him was the owner of the company where he worked.
“Sorry, but I don't know. Rani just borrowed money from me. About where he wants to go and with whom, has absolutely nothing to do with me.”
............
Daniel was sitting limp on the sofa in the living room of his simple house. He chose to return home with the remnants of hope that Rani would return.
The sound of the door being knocked from outside made Aris immediately rise up leaving his seat. He walked to the door to see who was coming. Two men stood in the doorway, bowing their heads in a sign of respect.
“How?” ask Aris quickly. Didn't even let the two men into the house.
“Not anywhere, Boss! All access to the city is checked. Terminal and train station. Besides the port and airport there are no passengers on that name,” replied one of them.
"Have you checked carefully?" ask Aris once more to be sure.
"Already, Boss. Rani left no trace. It might still be in town."
Aris took a deep breath. Thinking for a moment. "Then check the city border. If you need to leave this town to find them."
"Good."
Daniel's eyes closed upon hearing the information. He no longer knows how to find Rani.
The man just sat down lethargic by holding a letter that had been left by Rani. He opened it and read it.
Stuffy!
Empty!
Rani has left with all her heart wounds.
