"Don't you sleep yet?" ask Riska in a loud voice.

Her eyes squinted, looking at her husband who was sitting leaning against the fist of the bed.

"I just woke up. You go back to sleep, yes" replied Keenan.

He had indeed woken up a moment ago and could not sleep again until now.

"What's up, Bang? It seemed, Brother, more thoughts," asked Riska, instead getting up and leaning next to her husband.

Keenan looked at the face of the wife's pillow, he smiled seeing Riska rub his eyes, forcing his consciousness to return immediately.

"It's okay, honey. I just can't sleep" Keenan replied.

Riska saw the time on the wall clock, it turns out it was only two in the morning.

"It's still night, Bang. We go to sleep again" Riska said, leaning her head on her husband's shoulder.

He was still very sleepy, it was hard to open his eyes.

Keenan immediately hugged Riska, providing comfort and warmth for his wife, he several times peeked at her forehead.

Riska further sucked her face in Keenan's chest with her eyes closed again, seeking comfort in her husband.

"Dear, don't be like this. What if I was tempted?" keenan said, slightly holding back Riska's movement.

Riska stopped her movements, now she was just leaning against the chest of her husband's field.

"Sorry," he said.

"Here we go to sleep again" said Keenan, lying down, with Riska in his arms.

"Heem." Riska just muttered and before long her breath was back in order. It all signifies losing he's back asleep.

Keenan stared at the ceiling of the house that already looked yellow in some parts. He still remembered the insulting word uttered by the mother of Fatir.

'Is this how he lived all this time?' mumbling Keenan's heart.

Her memory switched a moment ago, when she was chatting together with Rio.

Flashbacks

"What's going on here?" rio asked, as he just rocked out.

Keenan who was pensive in the living room, along with the laptop that was still burning in front of him, turned his attention to Rio.

"There's a little work I'm still doing, you haven't slept?" ask Keenan.

Yes, he only fell asleep for about an hour and woke up again, until now he could not sleep again.

Keenan also chose to come out with a laptop, to do some work that was not completely finished.

However, it turns out his mind can not be separated from the incident in the patrol post.

"I woke up, wanting to go to the bathroom," Rio replied.

Keenan nodded his head in response, pretending to be back busy with his laptop.

After confirming that Rio was far enough away from her, Keenan again leaned his body on that simple chair.

'Who exactly are they? Did that mother insult Riska often?' he murmured in the heart.

"What's up, brother? Kok even daydreamed," asked Rio while sitting next to his sister-in-law.

Keenan who was surprised by the questioning voice of his sister-in-law, immediately saw the face of Rio who was already beside him.

Re-enforce his body with a slightly wrinkled-looking face.

"You're not sleeping anymore?" Keenan asked back.

Rio shook his head, he looked at Keenan questioningly, as if still waiting for an answer from his question.

"I just thought about it" Keenan said. He could not help his curiosity.

Rio smiled, while looking at Keenan's veiled face.

"Why, Brother? Are you worried about Riska?" rio asked in a slightly mocking tone.

Keenan pulled his thin lips together to form a straight line.

"No! Why would I worry about your brother, if there was still me by his side?" said Keenan, with a smile that seemed to get wider along with Rio's smile.

"Yes, Brother, it is indeed the best for Riska," Rio praised the sister-in-law.

"Then what makes, Brother, riled up?" ask Rio.

"I was just curious about Riska and the man's relationship." Keenan paused his words with a frowning forehead.

"Who was his name? Fa–" Keenan seemed to remember.

"Fatih, Brother," cut Rio instantly.

"Ah, yes. Who her? Why would her mother insult Riska that way?" ask Keenan later.

Rio exhaled his coarse breath before he started telling Keenan.

"Bang Fatih and Riska's brother had been friends since childhood, they were so close that the villagers thought they were dating." Rio started his story.

Keenan leaned slightly, watching closely every word that was spoken from the mouth of his sister-in-law.

Hearing the close words and courting, it had already made his hands clench strongly. But he can still resist his emotions and jealousy.

"But, his mother who has eyes duitan and arrogant as high as the sky, does not like that Bang Fatih is close to Kak Riska, so she always looks for problems with her brother or mother."

"He often insulted or even blamed Kak Riska, if he saw or heard Kak Fatih along with his sister. It's all because we're from a poor family. Also, Riska's sister who can't continue her schooling to college."

Rio's face turned softly, at the end of his sentence.

"Actually, Mba Ayu has offered to finance her sister's college. But, brother prefers to give all of that to me. He instead chose to focus on working, to help mom."

Rio lowered his head, while recalling the time when Riska was at the end of high school. At that time Ayu had come to his home to talk to his mother about Riska's tuition.

Only, Riska refused. He instead offered that fee to Rio who had just entered Junior High.

Riska also knows, if at that time the boutique finance is not stable, she does not want to be a burden for Ayu.

Keenan patted Rio on the back, giving strength to his sister-in-law. In his heart, he also felt amazed by his wife who wanted to sacrifice herself for the sake of family.

"Sister, Sister Riska may look cranky, rough and chatty. But, that's all he did to cover up his weakness from people like his mother Bang Fatir also covered up his sadness from us" Rio said, looking at Keenan with flushed eyes.

"Behind all his ugly attitude on the outside, he was a big brother and son who were so considerate of me and my mother, as well as the people around him" he continued, with a faint smile.

"He never even fought anyone older than him, even though it was a humiliation that made him fall even though. However, he was always ready to fight back, if the insults were shown to me or to mother."

Keenan nodded his head. He now understood, why in the patrol post, Riska did not fight her mother Fatir at all.

As a husband, he also often get the attitude of mature and loving Riska, even if only in certain moments.

"Sister, please take care of Riska and make her happy. After the departure of the Father, he never even thought about his own happiness again. Now, I hope that Riska can be happy with Kak Keenan," said Rio, full of requests.

Keenan nodded surely, in his heart he promised to give happiness to his wife.

"I will try to continue to make your brother happy" he promised Rio.

For about two hours, Rio and Keenan talked together by exchanging stories, until mother came out and told the two to go back to sleep.
