"Really, Mas?" Aisyah assures her hearing of Bayu's approval of her desire to resign. Bayu nodded his head in response.
Aisha smiled again. A sense of happiness implied from the bright sparkling look of his eyes. "Thank you, Mum. Then we can stay in a rented house again, right? If I resign, Zahra doesn't need to be signed with mom anymore."
To that question, Bayu thought for a moment. She remembers her mother who loved her granddaughter so much. It is possible that Ambar would not be willing to part with Zahra suddenly.
"If it's later I ask you first, yes. I'm afraid I'm surprised that we suddenly moved out of here. It takes time to find a new contract. It looks like our old contract has been filled with new people," Bayu said after thinking for a while.
"Alright, Mas. Aish also needs time to file a resignation letter to the company."
Bayu smiled and then continued the eating session that had paused because of Aisyah's speech.
...*****...
Time goes by without being paused. A month Aisyah has been acting as a housewife. He was so happy, even though his decision to resign from the workplace received a strong rejection from his co-workers Aisyah. Especially from Septian who felt disappointed and guilty about Aisyah's decision.
Septian was convinced that the reason Aisyah resigned was because to avoid her.
"Aish, you don't have to resign if you want to avoid me alone" Septian said at the time.
Aisha could not answer as it was. I want to be honest, not be honest either. So, Aisyah had to lie. Aisyah gave an excuse to Septian, if Bayu was the one who asked her to resign from the job.
That day Aisyah was inviting Zahra to play in front of the contract, along with two young mothers of rented residents in the complex. They share their experiences of how they took care of their first child as a new mother.
Laughter is often heard from the crowd of these mothers. Aisyah is indeed a supple person, she easily adapts to others if the person is also welcome to her.
"I'm the same, too, Ma'am. The first time I held my baby, my hand shook a little" said Aisyah's great-grandson as her neighbor said the same thing. The little laugh came back after he said that.
However, his lips that had originally expanded due to a smile slowly shrunk and looked flat, due to seeing someone coming from the direction of the contract gate. Someone was riding a motorcycle, then stopped right in front of Aisyah's contract. The woman stood up, then told her neighbors to retreat.
"Sir, I'll go home first, yeah. There's my in-laws coming," said Aisyah.
"Oh, yes," replied Sari—one of Aisyah's neighbors. The two young mothers smiled as they nodded their heads in a sign of respect to her guest Aisyah who was none other than her Herman—-in-law.
"Where's the wood?" Without saying any greetings, Herman immediately asked Aisyah.
Aisyah first grabbed Herman's hand for him to kiss the back of his hand, before he answered the in-law's question, "Mas Bayu has not come home, sir."
"What time does he come home?" asked Herman with a flat face.
"Maybe we'll be here soon, sir. It's four o'clock past fifteen minutes. Mas Bayu was out of work at four," replied Aisyah.
"If so, wait for your husband." The old man entered the rented house without being invited by the owner.
Aisyah took a deep breath before taking it out slowly. Her attitude was always annoying. Luckily he had managed to get out of the house of the in-laws, so he did not need to accommodate a sense of patience every day.
After a while of waiting, Bayu finally came home. Hearing the roar of the motorbike engine parked in front of the rented made Aisyah immediately walk out, to greet her husband.
"There's dad?" Bayu asked first, because he saw his parents' motorbike in front of the contract. Aisyah simply nodded her ass, after kissing the back of her husband's hand.
"No idea, he said he would wait for Mas to come home first" replied Aisyah.
The curious Bayu immediately got into the contract, then met Herman.
"Sir, it's been a while?" Bayu kissed the back of Herman's hand.
"From ten minutes ago," replied Herman.
"Father there needs to be important as Bayu? Tumben's coming straight here. Usually also a phone," asked Bayu. The wrinkle on his forehead showed curiosity.
"Yes, you are confused again. I deliberately went around because it needed fresh air, then thought to meet you. I'm upset with your sister, Bay. I'm disappointed in him."
"What's the matter, sir? What happened to Erina?" Bayu is after Herman. His curiosity is growing.
"Your sister .. Your sister's pregnant, Bay."
Of course, the statement made Bayu and Aisyah shocked disbelief. How could Erina be pregnant, while the woman was unmarried.
"Based on the boy! She could have been pregnant before she got married!" Bayu was also ignited by emotions, but Aisyah immediately gave a soft rub on the husband's shoulder.
"Patience, Mother! We better go to your house first. We meet Erina and ask her directly," Aisyah said.
Bayu sighed harshly. He also agreed with Aisha's proposal. They rushed to Herman's house, after Bayu finished cleaning the body.
...*************...
Bayu and Herman came together. Herman first parked his motorbike in the yard painted in dark green, followed by Bayu who parked his motorbike right next to the father's motorbike. He hugged Aisyah who was holding Zahra.
The three walked into the house. Inside, Ambar hugged Aisyah. Her tears were broken without being prevented. Both of Ambar's eyes look red and red.
"Patient mom, yes!" Aisyah tried to calm Ambar down, while giving a gentle swab on the back of her in-laws.
"Erina's really embarrassing, Aish." Ambar roared behind the back of his daughter-in-law. She was devastated by the pregnancy of her youngest daughter.
"Where is Erina now, Mom?"
Herman's question made Ambar break his embrace with Aisyah.
"He's in his room" Ambar replied softly.
"Call him here!" decreed Herman. Although lazy, Ambar still do the orders of her husband.
After a few minutes, Erina met her family who gathered in the living room. He immediately calmed down and cried in front of Bayu, asking for forgiveness and protection from his biological brother. Erina was afraid of the anger of her parents. Only her brother she had as a defender.
Justright. Bayu's response was not like when he was in his contract. When she first heard the news of Erina's pregnancy, her emotions immediately burned. However, now when his beloved sister was crying in front of him, his emotions immediately evaporated out of nowhere. Bayu just kept silent not giving a response when his father asked about his opinion.
Aisyah who saw that could only sigh while stroking her chest. Bayu's overindulgent attitude to his sister must be changed immediately.
