Harvey stood up and said, his eyes wrinkled to form a narrow line.
"But why don't I see the money bag? They may need a large bag to hold $3 million."
A thug frowned as he thought about it.
"Cannot be. Fiona and Andrew are old enough. There's no way the four of them failed to snatch the goods."
Xena frowned when she heard that. He walked closer to see her.
At the sight, his face wrinkled in disdain - as there were no pockets in sight.
"Useless! Four men and they can't rob the old couple?"
Harvey's facial expression hardened. He doesn't look happy.
Although $3 million was not much money to him, he never liked to fail in everything he did.
"It looks like there are three motorcycles, but there are additional passengers riding other motorcycles!"
One of the men exclaimed as they got closer.
Motorcycles are moving forward. Everyone is overwhelmed with disbelief. Five men got off the motorcycle.
"Bo - boss..."
One of the men who had a cut on his forehead; blood soaked his face.
He ran towards Harvey. "We we didn't manage to get the stuff" he said, his voice filled with fear. "We're in a trap!"
"It's useless!"
Harvey kicked the man fiercely. Then he looked towards Fane. "Who is this bastard?" he asked all four of them.
"Fa-Fane? Why are you here?"
Xena thought of everything. He just needs to find a way to earn money for himself. Even if he doesn't marry Harvey in the future, it doesn't matter as long as he has his own money and can live comfortably.
If that doesn't work, she can still marry Ben, even though Ben is useless. Or Xena could leave town alone, start a new life somewhere else.
Xena never thought Fane would actually come. This was a clear hint that Fane had realized his lie.
"Do you know him?"
Harvey was stunned, "Why does Fane's name sound familiar?"
"Young Master Harvey, this bastard was a great fighter, and he was Drake's bodyguard. She's also Selena's husband, and her brother-in-law Ben!"
Xena answered quickly to Harvey.
"Heh. A great fighter? How good is that?"
Harvey smiled cynically. "oh, so this is a useless person who harassed his wife," he said.
"I remember you telling me that this bastard almost destroyed Taylor's family. Were it not for her, Selena would never have been expelled from the Taylor family, too bad. That beauty was snatched away by a pig like this!"
Harvey stretched his body lazily. "I heard Selena is very attractive" he said with a mischievous expression." Too bad I'm not interested in women who are married and have children. I might just want to play around with her if she's not married!
"You beat all four of them, eh, rogue? Not bad!" Harvey grinned, smiling expressionlessly.
"The slacker didn't really beat us. But he must be very skilled. He managed to grab hold of our motorcycle and turned it over. Who knows what would have happened had his motorcycle not fallen!"
One of the injured men spoke up, trying to defend himself.
"I never thought you'd get along with a pest like that, Xena. Planning to steal money from Mom and Dad? Heh. How stupid of you!"
