The sound of slaps accompanied by the screams of a man could be heard filling Noah's luxurious apartment.
Noah who was in an unprepared position, immediately fell to the floor, having previously hit the living room table first.
Jessica screamed in fear. The woman swiftly approached the son who now looked helpless. "Harold, don't put all the blame on your son! That girl is the one who chose to leave this house!" jessica shouted furiously.
"She's not 'the girl'. She's Bella, our daughter and daughter-in-law. The daughter-in-law of this family!" hardik Harold's. "If it wasn't for her behavior, Bella would definitely not have left this place!" the middle-aged man was full of emotions.
The atmosphere inside the apartment was getting hotter. Harold, who had hoped to get a sweet welcome from his children, was surprised, when he heard that Bella, his daughter and favorite daughter-in-law, had gone several days to leave Noah's apartment.
Harold did not know for sure the cause of Bella's departure, but he clearly knew that it was all because of the fault of his son.
"My answer is, Noah. What did you do to your wife, until she ran away from here?" Harold repeated the same question. Yet again Noah did not answer.
He couldn't possibly tell the last incident that happened to the two of them. The single biggest cause Bella chose to go from there.
"Noah!"
"Harold, enough" cried Jessica again. "You're really outrageous. Can't you just once not stand up for that girl? After all, he was just someone else in the house. It's your son who should have a defense!" After saying so, Jessica turned Noah to her room.
"I'll bring him back, Pa," said Noah.
"No need. Papa will take her home, as well as take care of your divorce. It would be better if you lived separately!"
Hearing Harold's reply, Noah suddenly turned upside down. He violently took off Jessica's embrace and walked over to her father.
"I'll never divorce her, Pa!" replied Noah firmly.
"For what? In order to hurt Bella even more deeply?" Harold stared intently at his only son.
Noah remained silent. The man was about to say something, but somehow his tongue was now feeling faint.
"Bella's been suffering enough as an orphan. He doesn't need to add to his suffering by living with a man like you. It's all Papa's fault." There was a look of regret, as Harold said the last sentence.
Noah shook his head. This is not what he wanted. Although the man has not really been able to know his own heart, but clearly he does not want to part with Bella.
There was a terrible pain, hearing the word divorce from the father's mouth.
As Noah had expected, Jessica instead of mediating the tension between them, even encouraged Noah to accept Harold's decision.
"You can get any perfect woman, Noah. Moreover, right now you are the supreme leader of the Werner Company," Jessica said as she was busy treating her son's wounds.
"I'll never divorce her, Ma!" replied Noah firmly.
Jessica frowned, looking dislike for Noah's answer. "Don't you want this wedding, honey? Remember, she's just a substitute bride you don't want!" yells.
Noah immediately put on a cold look. The man then turned to look at Jessica while saying cynically. "Actually these are all the things you want most, right?"
Jessica was nervous. He tried not to be intimidated by Noah's cold, sharp gaze. "Mom admit, Mama hates that girl. But it's not about Mama's wishes, honey. It's about your wish! Didn't you not want this marriage to happen in the first place?"
Noah grieves. "That was!" After saying so, Noah chose to leave Jessica alone.
An upset Jessica threw an alcohol bottle on the floor until it broke.
...**********...
As if forgetting her hiding place, Bella ran over to Harold who came to visit the orphanage.
Bella no longer cares about anyone who knows where she is, the most important thing is that she can vent all the longing that is held back on one of her beloved men, namely her adoptive father and her own father-in-law.
"How are you, son?" asked Harold while looking at Bella's condition. "Why is your body so thin now?" sucher.
"I'm good, Pa. How's Papa doing?" Bella smiled knot.
"Papa was fine, but knowing you were gone, Papa didn't feel that way anymore, son," Harold replied honestly.
Bella bowed. "Sorry, Pa," said the girl in a small voice.
"Go home, Son. If you don't want to go back to the apartment, you can go home with Papa" the man asked.
Bella remained silent. There is no safe place for him anywhere, either in the apartment or at home.
"I .. can't, Pa." Bella stared at the sad face of her father.
