Bella breaks herself in Noah's bed. Right on the part that the man always occupied. Noah's distinctive body fragrance instantly absorbed Bella's sense of smell.
There is a speck of longing tucked in Bella's heart every time she remembers Noah's figure. Although there are no sweet memories that adorn their household, Bella still can not deny her feelings first.
Yeah, first. Because right now, Bella has absolutely no idea how she feels about Noah.
A few months ago Bella had a serious conversation with Harold, when the man came all the way to visit her.
The father apparently offered Bella to live longer there. She also asks Bella to forget Noah and rearrange her life as she wishes.
"Noah will be out of prison when the winter comes. Papa can't take Noah out of our lives, but Papa doesn't want you to be shackled in a painful bond either. After getting out of jail, Noah will Papa send it far out of town."
"Why throw it away?"
"No Honey. Papa's just afraid you're the one who's outcast, if Noah stays back home while you're here."
That's some conversation Bella can remember.
Instead of answering her father's offer, Bella asked to return home. The girl needs more time to think through all the decisions, as well as her feelings.
Is it true that he no longer loves Noah, or just dismisses his feelings?
...**********...
There was a quite different atmosphere inside one of the cell chambers numbered 1250.
The eight-man inmates were busy helping to tidy up a man's appearance. From shaving his beard and mustache, cutting his hair using a razor smuggled in one of his cellmates, then choosing the best clothes he had.
"Well, you're so handsome, Noah!" praise Erick, his cellmate who has always helped Noah adapt.
It took Noah some time to be accepted into this narrow room. When we first got in there, almost the entire cell treated Noah inhumanely. Noah's face and body can't even be separated from their blows. However, the man never retaliated in the slightest. He let it all happen as punishment for his behavior on Bella first.
Now three years have passed. Noah finally breathed free air.
"So where did you decide to start your new life?" asked Richard, a 60-year-old man who became the oldest occupant in their cell.
Noah sat down next to Richard, busy arranging his makeshift things.
"I don't know" Noah replied briefly.
"You really don't want to go back to your old family?" ask Richard again.
Noah remained silent. His hands were clutching firmly at the clothes he was holding. "No!" His decision to leave the Werner family was already unanimous. Although painful, Noah will still choose to leave, because from the beginning the place is not the place.
Richard held Noah's shoulder. "Wherever you are, I hope luck will always be with you, Noah."
Noah turned his eyes to Richard, and thanked the former doctor.
...**********...
There were not many items Noah had brought out. He left some for his cellmates, including valuables that the warden had confiscated when he entered the cell first.
Although Noah still did not know where to start his life from, his steps remained steady down the snowy streets, towards the only exit of the room. What is clear is that he has to do one thing, which is to get as far away from the city as possible. A city full of bitter and heartbreaking memories.
Noah nodded his head in gratitude, as the concierge opened the gate and let the man out. Closing his coat to ward off the increasingly piercing cold, the man turned his head to look at the sky for a moment.
Noah then looked around and only found a stretch of snow without anyone else waiting out there.
Noah smiled faintly and then walked back slowly down the road. However, the man's heart nearly jumped out, as a tiny, familiar figure stood right before the man.
...**********...
"Viola, where's Bella?" harold asked frantically, for he found no whereabouts of the princess anywhere.
"Miss went alone, sir. She said Miss found the answer. I don't know, I don't understand what he means" Viola replied in confusion.
Hearing this, Harold commented on his shady smile. No further study was needed to understand what the princess was saying, and Harold supported whatever had been his decision.
...**********...
Although three years have passed, Noah can still clearly remember every milli face of Bella, the girl who until now tried to forget. When the man was sure he would be able to forget, the figure was instead present and stood there.
As strongly as possible Noah recalled the bitter things he had done to Bella to strengthen himself.
This seems to be quite effective, because Noah is now able to lift his legs back. The man managed to step past Bella without a sound.
"The redemption of your sins in this place is still not enough!"
That was the first word that came out of Bella's mouth. There was no impression of longing from the girl. His tone even sounded extremely cold and unfriendly.
Noah stopped his steps. They turned their backs on each other.
"What do you want?" Noah asked flatly. He would do anything if it could satisfy Bella more.
Bella then turned around and looked at Noah's cold back with an unreadable look. The girl took a step towards Noah and stopped right in front of him.
Without Noah guessing, a loud slap was thrown by Bella as hard as she could. Taamparan was even able to make Noah's footing waver instantly. A fresh moment flowed straight from the corner of his injured lips.
Noah smiled. If this makes Bella satisfied, she will accept it with pleasure.
Noah steadied his footing again so as not to fall into the snow as soon as he got a second attack. However, instead of pvkulan and taamparan, Bella actually pulled the collar of Noah's jacket, to make the man bow to face him.
Noah was surprised, because the distance of their faces was very close. She could even have a puff of Bella's breath.
"Don't you dare go and choose to live the life you want, while I'm tormented here! You have no right to do so. Your destiny is locked up with me. Your penance lasts a lifetime, Noah Olsen Werner!" whispered Bella cynical.
Noah remained silent. Her brain was busy digesting the sentence that had just been thrown cynically from Bella's mouth.
"I'm taβ" Just now Noah wanted to ask, unexpectedly Bella instead landed her kiss on the man's lips.
Noah's eyes fell. He was about to push Bella, but the man found tears streaming from the girl's eyes.
In that instant, all the power Noah had accumulated over the past three years collapsed instantly.
Noah can't lie to himself anymore. She loves Bella very much, and forever those feelings will never change. Same with what Bella felt. Although Noah had hurt her a lot, it did not mean that he could not forgive the man.
If examined deeper, Noah is the one who actually hurt the most. From the beginning of his birth into the world, he had to live a life full of falsehood due to the greed and selfishness of Jessica, his biological mother. Not to mention some other things that cannot be explained.
Bella let go of her kiss. Their eyes meet again.
"I'm sorry" said Noah.
"No more apologies. I know for three years you must have thrown that word a million times."
Noah laughed, because what Bella said just now was true.
"Thank you."
Bella was about to respond to Noah's thanks, but the man silenced her with a gentle kiss.
Tears also flowed down Noah's cheeks. In her heart she promises by risking her whole life to make Bella and her family happy.
