52. Redemptive.
Noah's feelings were mixed, when he found Harold did not respond to anything after hearing Tristan's explanation and himself just now. The man even flinched as Tristan thrust out some photos of Bella's baby. However, when a piece of photo between them fell on Harold's lap, he just showed his emotions.
How not, the photo is a picture of Donna, his best friend's wife, who is holding a beautiful baby girl. The mistrust that was originally present shackling Harold was now collapsing instantly.
In that instant, the middle-aged man who always looked firm and warm cried bitterly while hugging the photo.
Noah clenched both his hands tightly. The man was trying his hardest to fortify himself.
Two policemen arrive at Noah's treatment room with Oliver and Louis, one of Harold's confidants. They've just checked the Werner family's home CCTV for Oliver's approval. Harold did entrust the two to take care of Jessica and Martha.
Originally, the CCTV that the police asked only to prove the violence that Jessica committed on Bella, before the girl was in a coma. However, it turned out that they found many surprises and other facts there.
"Do you know anything about this Mr. Werner?" one of the police officers asked, after showing a random CCTV recording a few months ago, before Bella married Noah.
Although surprised by what he had just seen, Harold tried to look all right. "I don't see it often, because Jessica is the one who takes care of the entire CCTV. Even if I look, I've never found anything bad like this!"
"That's because Madam Jessica arranged for the records to be stored for only one month, and it will be deleted automatically afterwards. Lucky we found one CCTV that escaped his surveillance. Of the household assistants, the CCTV was damaged two years ago and has been repaired. Maybe because the access is different, or God's intervention is working" the police officer said.
Harold fell silent. Anger and regret mixed in the man's chest. She did not expect that Jessica could do such a heinous thing to Bella all this time. Because, he had never seen any peculiarity in the princess.
Too much of a mind load keeps Harold limping in his wheelchair. Tristan quickly calls the nurse to take care of Harold. While Noah finally testified that he saw some events when Jessica was injuring Bella. The man even confessed that he also committed violence during his marriage to the girl.
"Bring me in too, sir! I will answer to all. My secretary will drop off the apartment CCTV as evidence I've done to her." In a weakened state, Noah extended both his hands to the policeman. This was the only way Noah could make amends for Bella and Harold, his beloved father.
Hearing Noah's confession, Tristan rebukes him. He even arrested a police officer who wanted to handcuff Noah's hand. However, Noah brushed off Tristan's hand.
"Please, take Bella and my father" said Noah.
"Br3ngseek, you're the one who has to take care of them, not me! Running away like this even makes your self-esteem no higher than a piece of trash, useless!" maki Tristan's. Although his mouth said harshly, the man's eyes glazed over at his best friend.
Slowly, Noah got out of bed handcuffed. In order not to cause trouble, they closed Noah's hands using a jacket.
"Sir, allow me to meet someone" Noah asked, as soon as they got outside the room.

Bella is locked up when Noah enters the ICU. The nurse there said that Bella's condition had begun to improve, even though her hands and feet could not be moved. The plan, tomorrow morning Bella will be transferred to the usual care room, if her condition allows.
Noah nodded. Wearing special clothes, the man entered Bella's treatment room.
His guilt grew higher, when he saw Bella's condition from a close distance.
The man stroked Bella's hand that felt a little cold, while saying a strand of sorry that he had never been willing to say to his wife.
"I love you, Bella. Hate me so much after this. Achieve your own happiness, and let me endure all your pain from now on."
After saying so, Noah kissed Bella's forehead gently. Not to forget, he landed a sweet kiss on the lips of the wife as a sign of love and separation.
A drop of Noah's tears flowed down Bella's cheeks.
Viola and Emma could only cry, as they saw Noah come out of the ICU room, and extend his hand again to the police officers, so they put his handcuffs back on.
"Tu—tuan," call Viola stammered.
Noah smiled softly. "Thank you for taking care of Bella all this time" she said before leaving the place, without even turning her head.
