Mother seemed very shocked to learn the fact that the son she was proud of was doing illicit work.
Mia helps mom walk to the room. David was still silent, sitting on the front floor of his bedroom door.
Mia helps mom lie in bed. When Mia was about to stand up, Mom held her hand so that the girl would remain sitting on the edge of the bed.
"Where are you going, Mia? Accompany mom here. There's something I want to say."
"I just want to get some drinking water for you, Mom."
"Mom's not thirsty. You sit!"
