I HATE YOU, BUT

I HATE YOU, BUT
#45

“This is a secret about me and Malvin.” unknowingly Davian clasped Alena's hand tightly. He suddenly wondered if he was ready to hear it or not. She was afraid that what Alena would admit was something that broke her heart. Can't it be that Alena didn't say that she was going to leave him? His heart was afraid to imagine this.

“For so long I have refrained from telling you because I am not ready. But, after I think carefully you should know this so that there is nothing more to suspect,” Alena took a breath while Davian was pounding. Alena's eyes now look straight at her, as does Davian. They were staring at each other and Davian could see all sorts of emotional flashes inside Alena's bead. He found flashes of sadness, frustration, and regret.

“I and Malvin, we are brothers.”

Davian felt the world around him suddenly quiet after hearing the shocking news from Alena's lips straight away. Are his ears starting to break? How could he hear a sentence that read; ‘I and the Malvin brothers?’. His eyes widened in amazement, disbelief, and shock. Not likely.

“No way,” unknowingly Davian voiced out the contents of his brain. He was stunned to see Alena asking for a clear explanation. What's this not funny joke?

“You're kidding?” Alena's eyeballs began to water again and Davian could feel his hand shaking.

“No Davian, I'm not kidding.” lirihnya full of wounds.

The next second Alena told me everything that happened that day in Malvin's ward. Nothing was missed because every word Mr. Radhian spoke echoed clearly in his mind, making him dizzy and frustrated. How Mr. Radhian recounted his father's mistreatment of Malvin's biological mother to the point of making him commit suicide to the fact that his cherished father hid that fact for years from him. Alena felt betrayed and lied to. If his father knew Malvin was his biological son from the beginning, why not say that from the beginning? Why does his father keep him wondering and suspecting?

Alena cried after telling her the burden. He felt pain as well as relief because he could finally share the suffering with others as well. Previously he was very confused, sad, and very unfortunate to have to bear all that alone. He couldn't tell it to anyone. He was very disappointed and ashamed of himself.

“What should I do? I don't know how else to deal with all this. I can't believe Dad lied to me this whole time. Why would he make me hate someone who turns out to be my own brother? What I should have hated was my father.”

“Everything has happened. What can we do?” consolations. Davian rubbed Alena's long hair gently hoping her affection could ease the sadness in Alena's heart.

“Do I have to hate my father?” lirih Alena while looking at Davian with tears on her cheeks. Davian shook his head slowly while removing the clear hair from Alena's pale face.

“You can't judge your father just because of the bad opinions you hear from one side. Have you asked your mother?” Alena shook her head and she gasped at it.

“You must hear the story from your father's side and decide what you will do. Your mother must know the real story. Maybe, your dad has a reason why he did it all.” Davian. Davian's words were right. He must hear the story from his family's point of view. If his father was still alive maybe he could tell him the real story. The only hope is now only the mother.

"Davian., will you accompany me to meet Mother?” alena Pinta. He would not be able to hear his story alone. Davian nodded confidently. Whatever he's gonna do for Alena's peace of mind.

“Definitely darling.definitely.”
