Part 56 - This time only

This afternoon all Jenny's work is done, now Jenny is ready to go home. She began packing her belongings into bags, including some unfinished wedding dress designs Jenny would bring for her to work on at home.

Lately Jenny is so eager to design wedding dresses for clients, although in fact Jenny's heart feels tight to see some of the designs of wedding dresses that have been made. Jenny should have gone through the day that she would wear a white kebaya on her wedding date with Arjuna, but everything was not as planned, Jenny preferred to cancel her marriage with Arjuna.

Jenny searched for the keys to her car, but she did not find them on her desk or in her work drawer. Jenny tried to remember wherever she took her car keys, afraid Jenny put it in any place and then she forgot.

Since the morning when he came to the office Jenny had entered several rooms, worried that Jenny's car keys were left in just any room.

Jenny's footsteps slipped into Franda's room, but there was still nothing. Suddenly Jenny remembered that when she had just come to the office, she went straight to the kitchen to make a glass of warm coffee, it seemed like Jenny's car keys were left there.

Arriving in the kitchen Jenny stopped, her gaze jolted toward the figure of the man who was enjoying a cigarette. It seemed like the man looked so upset, there was a burden that he was hard to reveal to anyone.

Greet Jenny with a doubtful tone. Jenny fears her arrival will disturb William's calm.

William remained silent, not responding to Jenny's greeting.

"Why you?"

Jenny asked after she stood in front of William. Jenny looked at William with pity.

William immediately turned off his cigarette in the ashtray, then he got up from his seat and hugged Jenny so tightly, making Jenny's heart gasp.

"What's going on with you, William?"

William does not answer he actually tightens his embrace on Jenny's shoulder, while Jenny does not want to return William's embrace. Jenny doesn't want to make things worse, if Renata finds out everything will be a misunderstanding.

William asks Jenny to return his embrace, but Jenny tries to release William's body.

"If you don't mind, you can share with me Will."

Jenny looked at both of William's eyeballs.

"She told you anything, Jenn?"

Now Jenny understands that William is struggling to think about the presence of Renata.

"She's a good woman Willy. Ask your little heart, your love is still there for her."

"No Jenn!"

William immediately cut Jenny's sentence. An angry voice rose from William's face.

"When I used to want to marry her, she had too many reasons. Now come asking for it back."

Jenny was only able to sigh, trying to gather patience to face William.

"Everyone must have their own dreams and dreams Willy. Naturally, if Renata then prioritizes his dreams, your relationship is separated not because there is a third person, it is only a matter of time. The Lord who kept you from growing up first, so that the path you were going through felt easier."

Hearing Jenny's explanation made William bow weakly before Jenny.

"I'm sure Willy your love for Renata is still at the bottom of your heart, it's just a speck of ego that's ruining your heart right now."

Jenny was still trying to convince William.

William is still trying to avoid.

"If you didn't love her why was your hug so tight this morning? That sincere? Like fear of loss. Come on, Willy, as far as I know, the William I know isn't like this."

Jenny's explanation was very striking to William's heart. It is true what Jenny said if actually William is afraid of losing again the figure of Renata.

"Are you not jealous of Renata Jenn at all?"

William's question just now tickled Jenny deeply, making Jenny smile for a moment in front of William.

William just nodded his head hearing Jenny confirming William's question.

"I'm just surprised Willy, not at all jealous. I'm glad that Renata is back in your life, at least you found the right person. You deserve to be happy, stop thinking about me with Cleo. Think about your future."

William smiled at the advice given by Jenny.

"Then what about you, Jenn?"

Jenny's view appears to have weakened after William asks Jenny about her life.

Jenny answered by turning her face away from William's sight. The bespectacled man grabbed Jenny's shoulder, as if channeling power to Jenny.

"Jenny, a few days ago I made a promise to my own heart that I would never let you go, after I found out that Arjuna was starting to change. But it seems like I would be hard-pressed to be Arjuna's rival, because I know that your love for Arjuna still exists, only that you are too afraid to admit it. The shadow of a bitter story with Frans that has made you lost to make life choices. Logic says life has to go on, but the heart whispers like it doesn't want to hurt anymore."

What William said was like knowing Jenny's heart, making it difficult for Jenny to avoid William's words.

"Ask your heart again Jenn."

That was Jenny's answer.

Jenny blushed in embarrassment at William's words, then Jenny spread her arms, preparing to receive William's embrace.

During this time William never dared to hug Jenny or touch Jenny. Even if the hug happened because Jenny sometimes started it, that was when Jenny was sentenced to give birth to Cleo prematurely.

"Thank you Jenn."

William said after ending his embrace.

"I should be thanking you, Willy. You've always tried to be there for me and Cleo."

William simply responded to Jenny with his best smile. There were no words or words he wanted to say anymore. Today it seemed enough to answer his doubts to take back Renata's presence.

As usual Jenny did not consider Arjuna's presence there, but somehow the handsome man was used to being treated like that by Jenny.

That's Jenny's only answer to Arjuna. Then Jenny's two hands try to reach Cleo's body from Arjuna's lap, unfortunately Jenny's son does not want to be taken by Jenny. Cleo just shook her head in front of Jenny.

Jenny felt annoyed at Cleo's attitude.

"Celo's attitude is exactly the same as Jenn's."

Arjuna tried to tease Jenny, she was tired of being kept quiet by Jenny.

"Prepare Jenn, I'll take you somewhere, with Cleo too."

Jenny ignored Arjuna's words, she turned towards her room. But Arjuna's burly hand immediately pulled Jenny's hand.

"Please Jenny, just this time. Otherwise I wouldn't have bothered to take Cleo away."

Arjuna's whisper was full of threats in Jenny's ears.

Arjuna knew that Jenny's weak spot was only on Cleo.

"Are you threatening me, Arjuna?"

Jenny's heart gasped at Arjuna's words.

"I'm not threatening. I'm just forcing you. This time it's Jenn, please. I'll make sure after this you're free to be with any man, I'll never bother you again."

Hearing the words spoken by Arjuna makes Jenny's heart a little unbearable.

"All right, but I'm gonna take a shower first."
