Jian Chen was given a room large enough to stop by himself, before long he sat down a female servant came with a napkin on top of which there was an urn containing tea.
"When does the ship sail, is it still a long time?" Jian Chen sipped the tea then asked the waiter.
"Master, the anchor has been raised a few minutes ago, we have to prepare everything first before it actually leaves." Answer the maid.
Jian Chen nodded slowly then gave the girl a tip. Soon Jian Chen felt the ship begin to sail, after an hour of tea in his room he went out to see the atmosphere of the sea.
On board were thirty passengers, a small number for a ship of this size that could accommodate hundreds of people.
On the boat Jian Chen saw many passengers standing there, he only found out unless he was another passenger was a merchant. Jian Chen raised his eyebrows when he saw the looks of those merchants who looked shabby and their faces were moody mixed with sadness.
Jian Chen knew that they were lacking in money so could not rent a special room like him.
Those who pay just to ride the ship alone will usually rest on the deck of the ship, when at night maybe they will sleep inside but it is one room and not comfortable to stop by.
Jian Chen passed by them then went to the bridge of the ship while feeling the sea breeze blowing coldly, his black hair twisting furiously around his face.
"Ah, it's been a long time since I felt this sensation..." Jian Chen muttered shut his eyes, enjoying every glare of the wind that crashed into his body.
Indeed since the last time he came back to life, Jian Chen had never been to the sea again whereas in his first life he was most happy to enjoy this atmosphere of tranquility. Jian Chen liked to travel to various places and the sea was the thing he liked the most.
Jian Chen's calm did not last long as there was suddenly a small child crying with a loud voice that broke the peaceful atmosphere of the ship.
The mother of the little boy tried to calm him back down but the little boy kept crying, making his father and mother feel bad because all the passengers were watching them.
"My husband, are we bagged with no food at all. Our son's been hungry since last night?"
The father of the boy sighed, "There's, it's just a piece of bread but that's for the next 2 days on the ship, just give it to him we can find a way to eat later."
The mother immediately gave the bread that was not much size, her son only stopped crying for a moment before then whining and asking again because the bread did not fill his stomach.
Both parents can only calm their children back that soon their boat will arrive and he can eat there but even so his son is still crying.
Jian Chen watched it from afar becoming pity, he then approached the family.
"Excuse me, do you need anything?" jian Chen asked with a friendly smile.
The mother and father pair stared at Jian Chen for a moment, looking down at the young man's body before looking at his face.
"No one, maap because our son interrupted your trip..." Said the father without wanting to interact with Jian Chen any further.
"I heard your son was starving and I happened to have two loaves of bread in my hand, do you want one?" Jian Chen then thrust his bread at their son.
Both of them wanted to refuse but the little boy had already directly ambushed and picked up 2 loaves of bread in Jian Chen's hand. His father sighed when his beloved son needed food. "Thank you swordsman..."
The reason that person was wary of Jian Chen was because he saw the youngster in front of him carrying the sword sheathed on his waist.
"Look at you guys are traders don't you want to trade in other provinces?" Jian Chen asked later, trying to be more familiar with the old man.
Seeing that Jian Chen had been doing good to him finally they slightly opened up and chatted with Jian Chen. The two husbands and wives told him that they were not from the Lightning Dragon Province but were natives of the province.
You could say they are now returning to their hometown after pitting fate in the Lightning Dragon Province.
The problem is that they migrate to the country people do not get satisfactory results and instead they get losses.
"I thought that after I tried to become a merchant in another provincial town I could succeed in living my family better, but instead it got worse. Our trade was not sold and our savings were running low, we were finally forced to go home."
Actually not only those who fared so but the merchant entourage on this ship also felt the same thing just that the fate of this family was the worst so that even daily meals could not be fulfilled.
Even though they come back does not guarantee anything, they will still be poor and may be like that until they get a job or sell their merchandise.
Jian Chen felt sorry to hear it so he immediately took out the money and gave it to the little family.
When everyone saw Jian Chen easily give the gold coins to the person he knew, the merchants on the deck of the ship immediately approached Jian Chen and wished for the same pity.
Those who were on the ship now were all merchants who did not differ much in fate from the old man who was in Jian Chen's favor.
In the instant Jian Chen was mobbed by those merchants, they begged and asked him for help.
"People ask for your help, my family has no more money after paying for this ship. Please sir give us a heart?"
"Mr Swordsman, soon my wife will give birth while I don't have the cost of labor, please help my family!"
Jian Chen was almost overwhelmed by even being pushed by those swordsmen, they seemed to have no more treasures when paying for this large ship that was likely not cheap.
Jian Chen even had to be helped by the ship's stewards to calm down the already uncontrollable times. The ship managers who helped Jian Chen also more or less hoped for the same, hopefully he paid Jian Chen with gold coins after helping him.
Amid the chaos without them knowing there was a large ship from far away approaching his ship, the ship seemed to deliberately want to get closer to the passenger ship.
"Comebody! Why are there pirates at this hour?" The steward of the ship had a pale face when he recognized the ship.
The owner of the ship then exited his ship after hearing the news. He looked at the pirate ship and let out a long breath.
"Peace everyone, as long as they are compensated satisfactorily they can let us go..." The owner of the ship calmed down his passengers who were starting to panic.
The chaos caused by the gold coins from Jian Chen immediately stopped when he saw the pirate ship, even though the ship owner had won it did not make the atmosphere better, they looked frightened.
Jian Chen looked at the pirate ship which had a black sail and a picture of a skull in the middle, his face changed when he recognized the ship.
Jian Chen knew that the situation was not as simple as the Ship Owner had mentioned.
