Eps. 34 — Know Ye Ziyun
“Is something wrong?” Jian Chen asked as Ziyun looked at his face for so long.
“Ah, no. I just feel like you're someone my friend is looking for but it looks like I got the wrong person.”
Ziyun dismissed the thought that Jian Chen was the person Niu Meily met, because the young man in front of him was a student of the academy when there was a badge to wear while according to Meily's story was not so.
At the meeting at the waterfall then, Meily had indeed seen Jian Chen's clothes have no badges so she thought that Jian Chen was not a student of the academy. Meily then shared these traits with her best friend Ye Ziyun.
Jian Chen flicked his sword to clear the blood from killing many demons, he also did not forget to take every single one of his jewels.
Ziyun watched him for a moment, seeing Jian Chen pick up all the gems showed that he was following the competition.
“You seem to be entering the Academy competition, Where is your group?”
“I'm not sure now they are, previously I separated from them when chased by the earth rat demon.” Thinking of Ziyun's question, Jian Chen was sure that if he returned to his original place, Miou Yue and the others would no longer be there.
“Then you can follow our faction temporarily if you want, in this Lonely Forest it is too dangerous to walk alone. The mole rat was one example.”
Jian Chen plucked his last jewel then sucked it into the S.p.a.ce Ring, an offer from Ye Ziyun was well-intentioned to help him but Jian Chen was unsure of accepting it.
Jian Chen's initial intention was to look for Miou Yue himself but on the other hand he also did not know where to look for her. The Silent Forest was too vast for one to look for.
“I forgot to introduce my name, I am Ye Ziyun, from the Fire Lantern Faction. Take it easy I don't mean to harm you or steal your stealth gems.”
Ziyun felt that Jian Chen was wary of her because she suddenly made a good offer while the two had just met.
In the competition all participants realize, if not the people you know, they are all enemies.
“My name is Jian Chen, then please trouble you.” After thinking more deeply Jian Chen finally received a good offer from Ye Ziyun.
Jian Chen had indeed known Ye Ziyun in his previous life, but this was the first time he had met and spoken to her in person.
To his knowledge, Ye Ziyun was from the Ye Clan who was the 9th strongest clan in the Lightning Dragon Province. Like Niu Meily, Ye Ziyun was also the direct daughter of Clan Leader Ye.
Ye Ziyun was ranked 8th in the Academy as a genius disciple, at his young age, he had already entered the realm of the third stage Soul Realm.
In terms of looks, maybe she can not be equated with Meily as the most beautiful woman but in terms of appearance, Ziyun is more feminine that makes her look sweet and graceful.
In the end Jian Chen followed Ye Ziyun back to his faction camp which turned out to be not far from the meadow.
Ziyun was a little astonished at once stunned when she saw Jian Chen move like he did not cause any sound or gusts of wind. It was as if Jian Chen's body was extremely light without having the slightest mass.
Arriving at his faction camp, Ziyun was welcomed by his members. The Fire Lantern Faction was much stronger and larger than the Two Swords Faction, it was clearly visible in terms of individual strength as well as the number of its members.
One who was in the realm of the Stage 1 Soul Realm approached Ziyun and Jian Chen.
“Chairman Ye, how? Where should we move next?” The young man put on a happy face when Ziyun had already returned.
“We change the decision, we should move east and towards the Snow Lotus Faction camp first. There's something I need to see with Miss Meily.”
The young man was a little astonished by Ziyun's decision which changed suddenly. “Is there something south, Chairman?”
Ziyun nodded before telling her about the horde of earth rat stealth, the young man paled to hear it because he realized that the demon was very dangerous.
Ziyun planned to meet the Meily faction to cooperate with him, so the safety of her faction would be safer if put together not to mention that the victory achieved would be much easier.
The young man nodded, starting to understand the intent of his faction chief changing the decision.
“Chairman Ye, who is with you?” the young man had just realized that Ziyun had returned to the camp not in her own state.
Smiling Ziyun explained as well as introducing her, the young man looked unhappy when Ziyun was with him.
“Chairman Ye, we better not help others in this competition considering you met him by accident. What if he is an enemy that lurks our faction.”
“Don't think too much.However there's no point in him spying, anyways I guarantee that Jian Chen is the one who isn't.”
Jian Chen watched the chatter with a faint smile, the young man trying to get Ziyun to change her decision.
“Brother Jian was separated from his group due to the previous earth rat stealth attack, our fellow academy disciples must also help him.”.
Seeing that the decision of the faction leader was already unanimous, the young man could only obey forcefully.
“I hope you don't take heart over the conversation, he's my right-hand man in the faction and my sectmate. That young man just made sure of my safety..”
Jian Chen nodded, he could understand Ye Ziyun's condition.
As the princess of the Ye Clan directly, Ye Ziyun had many protectors in the Ye clan who joined her faction. Their task was not just to study in the academy but to ensure Ziyun's safety.
It was not unusual in the martial world that something like this happened, in certain cases, the children of large clans even had guardians from highly cultivated warriors who guarded them at all times.

Jian Chen sat near the bonfire while staring at the sky filled with millions of stars. Peace in the midst of silence is the thing that is best enjoyed both in previous lives and now. That state did not last long until Ye Ziyun sat beside him.
“Brother Jian, you don't sleep?”
Jian Chen smiled faintly before shaking his head slowly. "I have to keep this bonfire burning all night.”.
Ye Ziyun let out a long sigh, feeling unwell with Jian Chen. “I ask for help for the behavior of my members, they always do not like the arrival of others.”
Jian Chen smiled. “Nona seems to misunderstand, I do not mind these tasks, instead I thank you for accepting me here.”
Jian Chen's statement still did not make Ziyun calm.
“Not to think about, besides all your faxes here all work, I do not feel good if just stay silent.”.
Ziyun smiled, she could see that Jian Chen was indeed serious in his words. He thought Jian Chen would be upset or harboring anger given his almost equal age, not expecting that this young man was so airy.
