Francoise was angry with his mother. She said she didn't want to see him or talk to him in the meantime, I handed her over, I won't try anything right now I'm afraid of causing her mother's anger again.
"Have you called her again?"
"It has been, and as I said, he insists he still hasn't changed his mind." Sara sighed at Francoise's words.
"Yes maybe we should just back off first, there's no point also insisting on persuading him. Looks like your mother is not someone who can be persuaded by sweet words or kind demeanor." Perhaps after waiting for a while to ease her anger, she could see her son happy. That was Sara's only hope.
"You're right, I've known her tough attitude all my life. But no, this time I won't obey him anymore." Francoise sounded annoyed, seemed frustrated with his own mother, unfortunately I could not persuade him. "I don't understand if a career is so important to him on any appeal, even if he's willing to sacrifice the happiness of his own son."
"For him it's because my family doesn't deserve you. Maybe we should tell your mom I work as an agent, too. At least I have a job other than a striptease dancer in his eye." Francoise laughed wryly with Sara's words.
"You don't have to think about it because I doubt he'll be impressed, what he wants is someone who can guarantee he can be nominated seamlessly to the Secretary of Energy. So no matter how good you are, as long as you're not close to someone who can guarantee it, he won't be satisfied. Maureen's father was close to the party treasurer, that was a favor to him, if he could get Mauren to be his son-in-law of course the party treasurer would recommend him." Francoise explained the relationship of everything.
"So what should I do."
"Nothing, we can't satisfy everyone."
Yeah right, we can't satisfy everybody. So while I stopped thinking about how Ms. Francoise could accept my presence.
While Allison, Nora and Kate took me hangout to a nightclub. Which turned out to be where I used to work.
Just this time I went with them at night, because I usually work. After all, for the last two months I've been working in Miami. But since the bureau didn't say I shouldn't divulge my job then I would usually say I work out of town.
"Allison brought her boyfriend today, ..." Kate's talking now. Kate and Nora have arrived first and I can join them at the table.
"New girlfriend."
"Ohh really." We're all enthusiastic. Maybe the guy took someone with him too, at least we have a new friend to talk to. That would be fun.
"Oh that's Allison. His name is Alton Mason ..." Kate pointed to someone who came with Allison.
For a moment, why did I feel like I had seen him. Whereabouts? I'm collecting my blunt memories, too many I've met lately, I can't remember but I've seen this guy. Where not.
"Hey everyone. You've been a long time, oh yes Sara is Alton Mason."
"Hallo, nice to meet you. I'm Sara Adams."
"I'm Alton Mason. Just saw you..."
"Oh yes, I'm just joining now. I have a job out of town." Maybe later I can remember where I met him.
"You work where."
"I'm in NYC ballet."
