Brother Zone
The failed surprise

Spontaneous Tiara looked angrily at Dhika. Yes, he likes Rian, but only as a friend. He likes to be friends with Rian because Rian is more comfortable to talk to. Her love is not like her feelings for Dhika. There are many reasons that make him unable to comply with Dhika's request this time, not because he is more concerned with Rian.

Tiara initially only makes Rian an excuse to avoid Dhika, but hearing Dhika's accusations ignites her emotions. Even if Dhika's accusation is true, what right does the man have to be angry? Instead of thinking of denying, Tiara challenges Dhika by admitting that she likes Rian.

"Mas himself said that Ara must learn to open her heart. Now, Ara wants to start learning to open her heart, why don't you like it?" challenge Tiara with a trembling voice. As much as possible he tried to dampen his emotions.

It was like he was screaming, cursing Dhika who never knew how tormented he was with his own feelings. He tried to bury it deeply, as much as possible he avoided Dhika, although in reality the more he avoided, the more tortured he was.

"It doesn't matter if you're close to anyone, but not Rian! Is it because Rian has everything, so you prefer Rian!?" reply Dhika. He could no longer hide his dislike of Rian.

"Ara wants to get along with whoever it is Ara's right, Mas. I have a girlfriend too, right? And Ara didn't bother with that, because it was Mas's right!" Tiara's tone rose, making some co-workers who were getting ready to go back to look at them.

A moment both of them realized, were in the wrong place. However, Tiara seemed to not care. The emotions he harbored felt overflowing his chest up and down holding in anger. This was the first time Tiara had fought with Dhika. Usually if he is really upset with the man he just shut up.

Dhika looked at Tiara sharply. His chest was also up and down, not out of anger, but out of a tightness of hearing Tiara's words. It hurt, like a fist had just hit his chest. Tiara was right, he was nothing to Tiara. Only a coward who even admits his own feelings does not dare.

"Mas, Ara does not want to be branded as a destroyer of other people's relationships. So, from now on Mas don't have to be too tight Ara anymore. Ara appreciates the feelings of Mas's girlfriend, so Mas must also understand the feelings of Mas's own girlfriend," said Tiara slowly, his emotions have been slightly muffled.

"Ra, with the explanation of Mas first ...."

"Sorry, Mas," cut Tiara before Dhika finished her speech. "Ara does not want to make a storm just about kayak gini. Not good to see with the others. "Tiara grabbed her bag while rubbing the tears that almost spilled in the corner of her eyes. "Ara went home first," she said, then walked quickly out of the employee's room.

Dhika ruffled her hair riled up. He groaned slowly, realizing the stupidity he had done. With wide steps he headed for his room. Shortly afterwards, there was the sound of the door being closed violently, making some of the women who had not returned home surprised.

***

Almost midnight, Dhika finally reached Malang, at her mother's house. Actually he planned to go home tomorrow morning, but because he failed to take Tiara, he finally decided to go home that night as well. With a feeling of disappointment, Dhika got out of the car, then stepped footed while carrying a paper bag containing gifts for her mother.

Dhika knocks on the door slowly, several times he knocks but there is no word. Naturally, at this hour his mother would have slept. Eventually Dhika decides to call to tell her mother that she is outside. Shortly after, Fatimah appeared with a shocked face mixed with worry.

"Dhika, how come you come home these nights? He said he'd be home tomorrow morning?" rong-rong Fatimah stared at Dhika from head to toe.

Dhika just smiled in response to Fatimah's nagging. "Udah can't wait to see Mom" he replied. "This is for Mom, happy birthday, Mom," he said, handing over the paper bag he had brought and saluting Fatimah, kissing her in reverence.

"Because Dhika loves Mom," Dhika replied as she took her mother into the house and led her to the sofa in the living room.

"You want to eat? Or do you want to make some tea?" Fatimah offered.

"Dhika had eaten on the road earlier," he lied.

Since noon, he has never eaten anything but water. His quarrel with Tiara earlier made his appetite disappear.

"You're all right, son?" Fatimah looked worried.

Dhika is okay, Mom. Just tired of coming home from work straight here. It might catch a cold" Dhika replied trying to smile.

"You want kerokin's mother?" tawar Fatimah's.

"No, Mom. Dhika wants to go straight to the room, want to rest. Mother also rested, yes," replied Dhika then moved to the room.

Fatimah didn't say much anymore, but she could catch something that wasn't okay on her son's face. Especially until coming home these nights, he can make sure his son is having problems. He has memorized the habits of his son, if his feelings are not okay, Dhika must go home.

Meanwhile in the room, Dhika threw her body onto the mattress, her eyes staring at the ceiling of her white-painted room, but her mind floated out of nowhere. He ruffled his hair, frustrated. The surprise plan that he put together may turn out to be a failure which actually makes him quarrel with Tiara.

Dhika took out a red velvet box with a heart shape from her pants pocket. He opened it, revealing a ring of white gold complete with diamonds on it. Tiara herself chooses him as she searches for a gift for her mother. He had already planned a surprise for Tiara. It started with a little present this morning, then tomorrow he plans to bring Tiara to meet his mother and celebrate the second birthday of the woman who turns out to be only different a day and last he will express his feelings and propose to the girl.

But everything is just a plan. Because of his stupidity too, Tiara finally misunderstood by assuming that all this time he had a girlfriend. The girl always avoided him. Then, how should he snatch the girl's heart back? While the girl was like putting up an invisible wall between them.

Same with Tiara. The girl was still rolling on the bed with reluctant eyes closed. His mind was still venturing into the incident earlier this afternoon. Doubtful whether his actions were right, but also a little relieved because what had been stuck in his heart finally spilled as well.

Now, he is confused as to how to deal with Dhika tomorrow. Should he apologize for saying a little harshly? Or should he act as if nothing happened?

Tiara ruffled her hair. "Argh. How am I going tomorrow!?"

Seriate.
