Chapter 10 Examination

Doctor Liana looked at Hani and Abhiyasa in turn. He saw the deep concern of the couple. Then he sighed and said,

"This is still our provisional guess. Let's just wait how things go next."

"What's our son sick, doc?" hani asked as if forcing the doctor to say it.

"It's actually still a guess. We suspect if the patient has dengue fever. But we have to monitor first and check back to make sure. We will also conduct lab tests on his lungs and heart" the doctor told Hani and Abhiyasa.

Instantly Hani's body felt weak. He could not imagine if what the doctor said was true.

"Bloody fever? Her lung? Heart?" hani said softly and stammered with her teary eyes.

Abhiyasa immediately embraced his wife's shoulder. He gently rubbed his wife's arm while whispering in her ear,

"Prophey dear, nothing will happen to Aksa. Remember, he's a good-looking guy who's strong at anything, 'cause he's our kid."

Doctor Liana smiled at the attitude of Abhiyasa who was calming his wife. He bids farewell to the two of them and Abhiyasa nods his head as a sign of respect for the doctor.

The nurse gave the medicine to Aksa according to the doctor's orders. Aksa fever slowly drops after taking the medicine given by the doctor. And the infusion is still given to Aksa in accordance with the one given by the doctor.

However, a few hours later, Aksa's body returned with a fever. And that made Aksa moan and delirious with her eyes still closed.

"Abhi, Aksa's body has a fever again. Hurry up and call the doctor right now" Hani said in a panic.

Abhiyasa who was giving news through a message to his family, immediately he walked quickly to his son and placed the back of his hand on Aksa's forehead, as Hani had done before.

"Why is his body so hot? Didn't he already take the medicine and get the infusion? Why is her body hot again?" ask Abhiyasa who is no less panicked with Hani.

"Abhi, quickly call the doctor," Hani ordered impatiently.

Abhiyasa immediately pressed the button on the top wall of the bed. Feeling that a few seconds passed without a doctor coming, Abhiyasa immediately ran out to call the doctor who handled his son.

After a while, the doctor ran with the nurse to the room Aksa was in. They cross paths with Abhiyasa who also runs out of the room.

"Dok, check on my son. The body's hot right now."

Without waiting for a long time the doctor ran to Aksa's room followed by a nurse and Abhiyasa. Inside the room, the doctor immediately examined Aksa using his stethoscope. While the nurse checks Aksa's body temperature using a thermometer.

The nurse showed the doctor the number which is Aksa's body temperature listed on the thermometer screen.

The doctor immediately gave orders for the nurse to immediately give the drug to Aksa consumed at that time.

Hani who was a little calm, now he panicked back. In his heart, he prayed for the healing of his beloved son.

And so did Abhiyasa. He recited many prayers in his heart for the healing of his beloved son. The two of them prayed alone in their hearts while gazing at the peaceful face of their beloved son.

"We've given him medicine, hopefully his fever will come down quickly. If there is anything, contact us immediately, so we can quickly come here," the doctor told Abhiyasa and Hani.

"Good doc. Thank you" Abhiyasa said in response to the doctor's words.

"So, is our son okay?" hani asked with a worried look on their son whom they were very proud of.

The doctor sighed at her hearing the question Hani had given her. Then he answered,

"As I said earlier. Like that, but we'll look at it again as it progresses."

After the medicine and infusion have been given by the nurse according to the doctor's advice, they leave the room. Hani and Abhiyasa sit next to Aksa's bed, holding their son's hand.

"Abhi," called Hani without facing her husband, she was still staring at the face of their son who was still asleep due to the effects of the medicine she was taking.

"Hmmm... What's wrong Honey," Abhiyasa asked as he turned his eyes from his son to his wife.

"Darling, what... Aksa.. his lungs.. his heart...."
