Chapter 17 Mental preparedness

Hani faced her back to her son and quickly wiped her tears. After that he went from his seat with Abhiyasa to their son.

Hani sits in front of his son. He smiled and gently rubbed his cheek as he said,

"Mama didn't cry because of Aksa. Mama's crying because Mama's hungry."

"Is that really Ma?" aksa asked as if she did not believe the words of her mother.

"really. If Aksa doesn't believe it, Aksa can ask Papa. Isn't it Pa?" hani answered while turning to Abhiyasa to ask for his support.

Abhiyasa smiled and nodded his head. He sat down beside Hani and gently rubbed his son's hair as he said,

"What Mom said was absolutely right. My mom would cry if she was too hungry. So, this hero of Mama and Papa has nothing to worry about. Mama's fine."

Aksa looked back at his mother. He seeks truth from the eyes of his mother. Then he said,

"That's what I'm worried about, sir. Since the patient is still fine, we hope that the time lag we give will make him ready for surgery" said Antonio's doctor while staring at Hani and Abhiyasa alternately.

"Okay doc, thank you. We will take care of our son's return. But... Can we call the doctor at any time if something happens?"

"Please Mom, we will be ready for our patients, whenever it is," Antonio replied with a smile on Abhiyasa and Hani.

"Thank you doc" said Abhiyasa accompanied by Hani's thanks to doctor Antonio.

Doctor Antonio left the room. He told the nurse about Aksa's return for today.

Hani immediately withdraws Abhiyasa's hand to approach their son. With happy faces and happy smiles Hani and Abhiyasa sat in front of their son.

"Dear, Aksa, would you like to go home?" ask Hani with her big smile.

Aksa's eyes sparkled. He nodded his head and said with great enthusiasm,

"You're Ma."

"Okay, Papa's hotshot. We go home now yes," said Abhiyasa accompanied by a happy smile.

Aksa looked at his father and mother in turn and said,

"But Pa, Ma, does this mean Aksa is cured?"

Hani and Abhiyasa looked at each other. This is where their role as parents is tested. They both must be able to give understanding and encouragement to their sons to be ready and willing to be operated.
