"Are you still curious, honey?" abhiyasa asked as he looked at Hani who was sitting beside him while looking at his son who was visible from the glass barrier.
Hani sighed which sounded very heavy. She turned to her husband and looked at him, saying,
"I just want to know what happened during the operation. Can't we know?"
"Can. We will ask doctor Antonio yes," Abhiyasa replied with a smile, as much as possible he tried to calm his wife.
"Now, yuk Abhi, remember again," Hani asked while pulling Abhiyasa's hand.
Abhiyasa could not resist his wife's wishes. He and his wife walked out of the ICCU waiting room to Antonio's doctor's office.
However, when Hani and Abhiyasa head to Antonio's doctor's room, they both cross paths with a nurse whose familiar face.
Hani stops her steps and pulls her husband's hand to stop her steps. Then he asked,
"Honey, isn't that the nurse who ran out of the operating room? You remember that?Who came in and out of the operating room to draw blood back then."
Abhiyasa looked at the nurse who was talking to the other nurse. He scrunched his forehead as if he was remembering, then he said,
"Yes right, the nurse rushed in and out of the operating room. Did we just ask him, Honey?"
Hani nodded his head while pulling Abhiyasa's hand to quickly walk up to the nurse.
"Sorry Sus, I want to ask" said Hani when he was near the nurse.
The two nurses who were talking turned to Hani and Abhiyasa who were standing near them.
"Yes ma'am, how can we help you?" ask the nurse who is recognized by Hani and Abhiyasa.
"Yes Sus. Sorry, we'd like to ask. At the time of the operation, Sister ran in and out of the operating room to draw blood, right?" hani asked with a probing look at the nurse.
"Yes, right. Sorry, who are you and Mom? And what are the needs of Father and Mother asking about it?" ask the nurse again after she answers Hani's question.
Hani turned to Abhiyasa, asking her for approval to ask him. Abhiyasa smiled and nodded his head, agreeing on what his wife would ask the nurse.
"We're the parents of a patient named Aksa. Our son was being operated on when Sister went in and out of the operating room. What really happened at the time of the operation?" ask Hani back to the nurse.
"Sorry Mom, the patient we were handling at that time was not the son of Mom and Dad. We were in the operating room next to my son's and Mom's when we had the surgery. So, the blood that I took at the time was not for the son of Father and Mother, but for the patient we were operating on" the nurse replied trying to explain to Hani and Abhiyasa.
"Really Sus?" hani asked again as if he did not believe what the nurse said.
"Yes Mom, I'm not lying. Mother and Father can ask the doctor directly if still in doubt," replied the nurse trying to convince Hani.
Hani turned towards Abhiyasa who was beside him. Her husband smiled and nodded his head at her. Hani also breathed a sigh of relief, as well as Abhiyasa who felt relieved because nothing bad happened in the operating room when his son's operation took place.
"Alright Sus, thank you. Sorry to ask Sister about it," said Hani who felt sorry for the nurse.
After that Hani and Abhiyasa returned to the ICCU room. They waited for Aksa to be awakened by the doctor after three days had passed.
During this time they managed to wait for their son without being replaced by someone else. This time they must be able to survive until their son is completely declared cured by the doctor who handled it.
...----------------...
Day by day passed. Every second, minute and hour that passes is the result of patience and waiting from both of them.
They waited three days. This afternoon the doctor will wake Aksa. They wait for those moments to come. A time where the two of them could meet, talk, joke and regroup with their son.
Anxious, they felt anxious waiting for that moment to arrive. But they also felt impatient to wait for the moment their son opened his eyes again.
That afternoon, Antonio's doctor and a nurse headed to the ICCU. While passing through the waiting room in front of the ICCU room, they encounter Hani and Abhiyasa. Doctor Antonio stopped to greet her.
"Good day, sir, Mom. We will wake up the son of Father and Mother. Please wait here. If the patient is awake, we'll call Father and Mother" said Antonio, smiling and bowing respectfully as he left them.
Abhiyasa and Hani can only see their son from the outside. They stood and looked out of the glass as they prayed for their son.
After a while the doctor was in the room, Aksa's eyes slowly opened. The doctor examined the state of Aksa as a whole. Doctor Antonio smiled looking at the results of Aksa's examination which was fine and responsive.
After the examination was completed, Antonio's doctor and the nurse who followed him out of the room.
Antonio's doctor returns to meet Hani and Abhiyasa to inform them of their son's condition.
"Sir, Mom, the operation was a success. The patient is conscious and well. There is no infection and the former operation is also dry. It's just that the next physiotherapist will do. For the time being, the patient will be transferred to his or her room. You and I can re-choose a room for a patient or just stay in the room yesterday?"
Hani turned towards Abhiyasa who was beside her as if asking and asking for her husband's opinion.
"Our son's room was previously VIP, can it be replaced to the VVIP dock room?" ask Abhiyasa to Antonio's doctor.
"Mister, please Mr. and Mother do the procedure for his administration so that patients can be immediately transferred" replied Antonio's doctor with a smile.
"Okay doc, we'll take care of it now. I just want the best and the most comfortable for my son" Abhiyasa said, nodding his head to say goodbye to Antonio before leaving.
Hani joins Abhiyasa in completing the administration of their son's room. After the administrative affairs were completed, they headed for the room that would be occupied by his son.
"Honey, is it not too much to change VIP rooms to VVIP?" hani asks Abhiyasa as they walk towards the room on the special VVIP floor.
Abhiyasa looked gently at his wife while saying,
"Honey, instead of me exaggerating, it's just the best comfort and facilities that Aksa should get after surgery. He will need a special room to keep his condition. So, we have to give our best to our son."
Hani smiled with her teary eyes looking at her husband. She was so grateful to have Abhiyasa as her husband. According to him, Abhiyasa is a gift given by God to him. Similarly, Abhiyasa, he felt that God gave grace by making Hani his wife.
Arriving at the VVIP room inhabited by Aksa, Hani and Abhiyasa enter the room. It appears that the nurse is still accompanying him and checking the medical equipment that is still attached to Aksa's body.
Aksa still looks very weak. She smiled looking at her mom and dad who were nearby, then she said softly,
"Ma, Pa, why are Aksa's legs so hard to move?"
