Ara & Al Chapter 14
Ara was sitting relaxed while reading a book in the living room when the roar of Al's car stopped in front of the courtyard. He was seen in a hurry down and the car carrying his briefcase then entered the house, until he did not realize that Ara was sitting in the living room. Ara followed him from behind and asked why Al was in such a hurry.
“I have to get ready now, later in the afternoon I have to fly to Italy for business,” Al said while picking up a suitcase.
“Why so sudden?” ask Ara.
“Iya, this is beyond my expectations but the client asked us to fly there immediately because there is business that we have to finish,” said Al.
Ara looks sad because it means she will feel lonely here, plus there is a sense of worry in Ara when she is away from Al. But Al tries to comfort Ara and reassure her that everything will be fine. The news of Al's plan to go to Italy was heard to the ears of the whole family. All who hated Ara were delighted when they thought they could bully Ara.
“What so Al will go to Italy for a week?” ask Tuba.
“Yes, I accidentally passed in front of their room and heard their conversation,” Burce said.
“Good, that means we can teach Ara a lesson without having to worry Al will know,” Tuba said.
Ara helps Al to prepare all the clothes and equipment he will carry. Before long, a car from the airport was waiting in front of the house. Al rushed downstairs and Ara drove him forward. Ara tried to hide her sadness for not wanting to be a burden of mind for Al.
“I won't be long, once my business is done I will be home soon,” Al said while kissing Ara's forehead.
“Iya, I will always wait for you here,” said Ara.
Ara stared at the speeding car carrying Al away from Ekram's house while sighing deeply. Ekram patted his shoulders to strengthen him. Ara's days felt empty and lonely without Al, finally to overcome the loneliness he experienced, Ara focused on caring for Ekram who was often sickly.
One day Ekram was just lying all day on the bed because he felt his body was very weak and his head was dizzy. Ara then told him to take medicine and rest. But suddenly Ekram wants to eat red bean soup made by Ara, finally Ara made it. While cooking in the kitchen suddenly Ara felt her stomach hurt, she then turned off the stove and went to the bathroom to urinate. The opportunity was used by Tuba and Burce to put something into Ekram's soup.
“Well, this is red bean soup that Grandpa wants, eat a lot of yes to heal quickly,” said Ara while carrying a tray containing a bowl of red bean soup that is still hot.
“Ah .. Thank you Ara, sorry Grandpa so much trouble you,” said Ekram.
Ara fed Ekram who ate so voraciously, but something bad happened a while later. As Ara was descending into the kitchen to put the dirty bowl, a scream came from the upper floor, precisely from Ekram's room. Ara immediately rushed upstairs and found Burce and Tuba screaming hysterically at the sight of convulsing Ekram and his mouth foaming.
“Gosh! Quick call ambulance, Burce!” scream Tuba panic.
“Grandpa why?” asked Ara while holding back tears for fear of seeing Ekram's condition.
Erce, Gohan and the rest of the family immediately followed to Ekram's room and they were shocked. Shortly thereafter the ambulance arrived and Ekram was immediately rushed to the nearest hospital for treatment. Everyone anxiously walked back and forth in front of the treatment room, until finally the Doctor came out.
“Patients experience food poisoning because there is a dangerous substance in the form of arsenic contained in the food they consume. Fortunately the patient was immediately brought here and get first aid, if not the consequences can be fatal,” said the Doctor.
“Arsenic?” erce and the rest of the family said in a surprised tone.
Gohan immediately calls Al to return home. It just so happened that Al's business in Italy was almost done, once he heard the news he immediately gave the rest of his duties to his personal assistant. Al is looking for the fastest airfare for flights to Turkey. Once in Turkey, Al immediately headed to the hospital where Ekram was treated.
“Grandfather, are you okay? What really happened?” ask Al to panic.
“I'm fine, don't worry,” said Ekram who has started to realize.
“Doctor said, Grandpa was food poisoning because the food he consumed contained arsenic poison,” Timpal Erce.
“Arsenic? How can any arsenic poison get into Grandpa's food?” ask Al.
All just fell silent and turned his gaze to Ara who was standing in the corner of the room. It was as if everyone was accusing Ara of doing all this. But not with Al and Ekrem who believed in Ara and still defended her in front of the rest of the family. It makes them even more upset, because at a time when a bad situation like this Al and Ekram still defend Ara.
“Al, can you think clearly just once, it's clear the food that Grandpa Ekram ate this afternoon was cooked by Ara. Then who else can put the poison in the food except Ara?” burce.
“You should not indiscriminately accuse if you do not have evidence,” said Al defended Ara.
“Evidence let alone Al you need? All is clear,” timpal Gohan.
“Have stopped, I don't want any commotion here and you stop blaming Ara if you don't have proof yet.”.
Al finally drove Ara home, while Ekram still had to undergo treatment in the hospital until he fully recovered. Several family members decided to keep Ekram there, including Tuba. Along the way Ara just fell silent staring at the streets of the Turkish city with a pushy look. Al held her hand and tried to calm herself down.
“Darling, you're okay right?” ask Al.
“You believe me, right? I absolutely could not have done that to Grandpa,”, Ara said.
“I believe you baby, there must be someone else who deliberately put the poison,” Al said.
Al wanted to find out who the real culprit was, but everything that happened was really well planned by Tuba and his allies. There is no evidence that can prove who the real culprit is. Meanwhile, in the hospital, Tuba could only cry as if he loved Ekrem very much, he did not stop accusing Ara who intended to poison Ekrem.
