Ara & Al Chapter 4

Meanwhile in the room, Ara tried to close her eyes but never could. He continued to flip through his body position to get a comfortable position to sleep, but still could not. He glanced at his bedside and saw Al was still busy with his laptop. Ara just silently watched the ceiling of her room. His mind was mixed, between happy with the new house he occupied and there was a little longing that seeped in him on his two twin brothers, Khasa and Keyza.

“You haven't slept apparently?” ask Al.

“Not yet,” said Ara then moved from her bed.

Ara noticed all the contents of Al's room that looked so luxurious, she never expected if she would live in a luxurious house with a private room as large as this. Even all the interior design is in accordance with his taste. All this time he had only seen rooms like this through a television screen or at least in his childhood home, but now Ara could enjoy it live.

“What do you think?” ask Al. 

“I just still don't believe I can live in a mansion like this. And you know, this is the room of my dreams since I was a kid,” said Ara as she spread her eyes across the room.

“Really?” said Al.

“Yes, my house used to be pretty good in my city. You know that father and mother can also be said to be content, but that was before father act until we were driven from the house that should be more entitled to be occupied by mother than father. After that life is quite difficult we even had to live in a small house in a narrow alley, before meeting you. It was completely unimaginable to me before that I would be able to return to live in a house this big. You know, even the size of the house of the father and mother first may not be half of this house.” said Ara while recalling her past.

“That's what keeps you from sleeping? You still want to enjoy the view in this room,” said Al chuckles.

Ara simply smiled then sat down beside Al who was still busy with some work that she could not leave behind. Ara momentarily glanced at Al's laptop screen and told him to stop working because he felt that this was the time for the two of them. But Al asked Ara for a moment because his work this time was too urgent and he had to finish it tonight as well.

“Then should I wait for you to finish all your work?” asked Ara who was a little upset.

“Oh dear, I'm sorry soon this will be finished,” said Al while stroking Ara's head.

Ara who was bored and could not sleep finally opened the door that led to the rooftop near Al's room. He stood looking at the sky decorated with stars and bright moon, again the longing for family and hometown made Ara feel sad. Ara never expected to be in a place that was very far from her family. However, he immediately dismissed all the thoughts that made his heart sad.

“I cannot be like this, here I also have a new family who loves me even they also treat me well,” Ara said in her heart.

Meanwhile, Al who was inside the room had just finished his work looked through the window glass to see Ara who was still silent staring at the night sky. Al immediately closed his laptop and approached Ara who was still silent on the rooftop. Ara was surprised because Al suddenly hugged her from behind.

“You surprised me,” said Ara.

“Sorry dear,” Al said with a small laugh.

“Is your job done?” ask Ara.

“Yes, I've finished it and now I have plenty of time to be with you,” Al replied while kissing Ara's cheek.

Ara blushed embarrassed to hear Al's words just now, even though the two of them were married sometimes Al did things that made Ara feel wrong. But it makes Al increasingly not stop teasing Ara. They both sat for a moment in the rooftop as they were not yet sleepy, both Ara and Al were silent in their respective minds while looking at the clear night sky.

“Al, thank you for taking me to this place and giving me all the things I never had before,” Ara said breaking the silence.

“I'm happy if you're happy to be here,” said Al while kissing Ara's forehead.

“But ....,” said Ara then he stopped his speech.

“But what?” ask Al.

“Ti ... It's okay,” said Ara trying to cover something from Al.

“Do not try to lie to me, Ara,” urged Al.

“I only miss my twin sister,” says Ara.

“Ah .. So because of that, you can video call them if you miss them right?” ask Al.

“Yes you were right, but sometimes the time difference makes it a little difficult for me to contact them,”.

Al did not want to see Ara drag on drowning in her longing which made her even sadder. He then invited Ara into the room because the air outside was getting colder. At first Ara refused because she still wanted to be here, but Al tried to tease her until she finally entered the room.

“I still want to be here,” said Ara spoiledly.

“Here is too cold dear, better we spend time on the bed,” Al said teasing him.

Ara suddenly blushed and finally wanted to go into the room.  Al then closed the door towards the rooftop and suddenly re-hugged Ara from behind which shocked Ara. Ara turned her body around and now her eyes were clashing with Al's. Somehow Ara's heart suddenly beat fast, even Al could feel it.

“You nervous?” al asked with a teasing smile.

“What? Ti... No,” said Ara was wrong.

“I can feel your heartbeat,” whispered Al in Ara's ear.

“I ...” sahut Ara before finally cut by Al.

“Ara, I love you so much and don't want to see you sad. I promise to always make you happy,” said Al while stroking Ara's cheeks.

Ara smiled and nodded at Al's words, believing that the man in front of her would never break his promise. Slowly Al pulled Ara's body to get closer to her body. He could feel the warmth of Ara's body, he brought her face closer and gently kissed Ara's lips. Ara replied to the same thing, so it did not feel they dropped her body on the mattress.

Tonight seemed to be a long night for Al and Ara, this room suddenly became hot inversely proportional to the air out there that was getting colder. There is no longer the frenzied sound of laughter from the people heard in this house, there is only the sound of pleasure from two people who are making love.

Ara's words apologizing for being late were not touched by other family members. Instead Burcu continued to insinuate the two of them but Al did not care. Erce again used his weapon to try to corner Ara, but Al seemed to be a fortress of protection for Ara. It made Erce even more jealous and the atmosphere at the dinner table suddenly became awkward.

“Actually we both still want to be together in the room, but because Ara was hungry so forced to go down and take breakfast,” said Al deliberately to make other family members more upset.

“Al! Why are you saying that,” whispered Ara who felt.

“You don't have to be ashamed to admit it, baby. Isn't that Grandpa?” said Al.

 “Hahaha .. You've always been so,” said Ekram chuckled.

Ekrem and Afet smiled at Al's words, while the rest of the family enjoyed their breakfast in annoyance. Especially Erce, wanted to feel like he was getting away from this dining table because he was sick of seeing the affection of Al and Ara. But Erce can only hold it because he does not want to show his regret in front of Ekram.
