SAVANNA

SAVANNA
CHAPTER 19

GECK! GECK! GECK!

The sound of knocking on the door forced me to stop this cry. I immediately ran towards the bathroom and washed my face to wipe away the tears.

After I felt enough, I set my voice a little hoarse then returned and opened the room door.

"Why is it so long?!". Said a woman standing behind the door of this room.

She wears glamorous clothes with a pretty flashy make up. She is the great mistress of this house, more precisely my adoptive grandmother.

"S-please go in the grandma". I was a little surprised by his sudden presence.

He entered with a haughty step and directly occupied the white chair beside the closet.

"Can you help Grandma?". Ask me then.

He just watched me with a cynical look then opened his bag.

"Take this". He said, now giving me a brown envelope.

With a slight hesitation, I received the envelope and immediately pulled the contents out.

A white paper with writing and nominal money of 5 million US dollars is written on the paper. My eyes immediately widened in shock to realize that this paper was a piece of personal check.

"Take the money, then take your mother as far away as possible, and never think of going back to this house!". Say grandma again in a condescending tone.

"-meaning grandma?". Ask someone who really doesn't understand.

"Call me Miss Terisa. I'm not your grandmother!, your mother is just a pick-up boy, and so are you!. So don't ever think that you're part of the Armount family!". Clearly with emphasis.

I who understood the meaning of his words could only fall silent and look at him in disbelief. For the second time I have come to understand why you chose to leave this family. It turned out to be true, the friendly smile that he showed mom last night, it was all just camouflage. Fake.

"ARMS?!". Speak this mistress Terisa with a tone that she began to elevate.

I, who was disgusted by the old woman's attitude, finally agreed to what she wanted. After all, I was also happier living with my mother compared to a hypocritical old woman like her.

"good. One more thing, don't let the rest of the family know this, especially Daddy and Jake!". He was determined before he finally stepped out of this room.

I closed the door and leaned behind it.

Is crazy!. Today was absolutely crazy!.

I haven't solved my problem with James yet, come back a bigger problem. I wanted to call Mom but still, my phone doesn't work anymore.

Damnit damnit! Where did you find this crazy family!. My inner.

My mind became divided, my body's response was confused between being sad or angry.

One thing I just realized, it turns out that this bathrobe is still attached to my body, it deserves that witch looks at me cynically!.

I hurried to grab a neatly folded shirt over the bed and put it on. Short cloth pants with light brown checkered motif and plain black shirt.

Hm... I murmured in my heart.

Are these clothes not too big?.

I saw my reflection in the mirror with my nose and eyes slightly reddened, wrapped in a rather oversized clothes made my body look petite.

It'sit's okay. Than having to wear a bathrobe. Thought.

I walked out onto the balcony and leaned against the barrier that surrounded the balcony. While contemplating and thinking, how should I tell my mother and how I would end my relationship with James.

No. gabe. No. gabe.

Since deciding to believe Ashela's words, our relationship has ended. Even if we meet at school...

What am I supposed to do?. I'm rattled.

We have been in a relationship far before. To the extent that it feels like dying just knowing the people we believe in are even betraying.

Oho! God... How's this... My inner.

On the other hand, I also thought about the threat of the magic grandmother. How do I tell this to my mom. Not long ago he was happy because he finally got along with his family, but the witch made things complicated.

Anyways... If I choose to jump from the top of the balcony this even adds to the big problems that already exist. Huh... My mind is fucked!.

It's so messy, I don't know what to do. Even my tears refused to come back. All I can do is stay up here.

Oh. I remembered!.

There's one thing I can do. I can ask Jacob to call Mom. I can reason for that. Yes, I have to see him even though I'm a little bit disinclined by him, because that's not the most important thing right now.

I decided to get out of the room and go look for Jacob. I looked left and right but there was not a single human I could find. I finally got down to the ground floor.

Where is he?. My inner.

Long enough I went around on the ground floor but, not Jacob who I met even some servants who greeted me kindly. I returned their greetings awkwardly and asked if Jacob had left for work, but answered not knowing by them.

If he's gone to the office, then there's nothing else I can do. I just need to wait for Mom, and I don't know exactly when they're back.

I who was getting tired of walking around on this ground floor finally decided to go back to my room.

While climbing the stairs, my steps stopped for a moment when my mind returned to Jacob who was exercising upstairs. Aye!. There's still one more floor I haven't checked.

I immediately looked for the stairs that led me to the third floor. I also remember the direction that Gabriel and Jacob were heading last night. Yeah, that must be the way. Thought me.

After passing through several rooms, I found a staircase located between two rooms along the walls of the stairs decorated with various paintings of the 80s in black and white.

With a feeling of stubbornness I also climbed the stairs while looking at the paintings. There are several paintings that make me interested, one of which is a hand painting of a woman shackled by a winding of daisies that are blooming white. It was the only painting that had color along this wall, although the color was dominated by black.

After arriving at the third floor, I spread out my shocked gaze to see the interior design of this room was very different from what was on the first and second floors.

On this floor, all decorated in black and grey. Even the floor is made of marble that is gray with a black pattern as a decoration. Almost all the furniture I see in this room is wrapped in the same color. I became more and more confused with this situation. It was as if I felt intimidated by the design, especially if Jacob suddenly appeared in this room, I could just pee in my pants out of fear!.

With the intention and courage I gathered, I finally stepped through this room. I found the exact same gym when I saw Jacob.

Aye! This place. My inner.

I also stepped into the next room which was only limited by a very large wooden shelf and contained various kinds of unique objects and rare decorations that I rated would have been very expensive.

There's no one here. I thought after entering the room.

This room is also empty. My mind again after entering the other room. There is only a sofa and a glass table with a glass containing drinks... Alcohol maybe? I'm not years for sure. There was also a very thick book beside the glass, I was not very interested in seeing it.

I also continued my steps through the piano. I spontaneously played the piano. Not until one song, my gaze immediately caught a room with an open door. Maybe Jacob is inside. I thought I left this piano and walked into the room.

Waw!.

There's nobody here either.

But this room is quite big than the one before. This room was also filled with bookshelves lined up and of course all the shelves were filled with various types of books. In the middle there is a large rectangular table complete with chairs. On the table it contained a stack of paper and an enormous globe.

Is this some kind of library?. I asked in my heart.

I was amazed to see this environment could not control my steps to approach one of the nearest bookshelves and pulled a novel entitled "Don Quixote" by Miguel de Cervantes. I tried to read this book written in a foreign language. Damnit. This doesn't make me understand at all.

I turned my attention to another book. Suddenly my eyes fell on a novel entitled "The Tales of Beedle the Bard" by J. K. Rowling, the book made me astonished. Usually, I can only see this work on display at a book fair with a very fantastic price. I felt both moved and proud of myself, for finally being able to touch this extremely expensive masterpiece.

Without thinking long I immediately tiptoed to reach the book.

Sets.
