After shopping for vegetables at the supermarket, Abigail invited Kayo to relax in the backyard. He was waiting for a report from his men that he had asked to investigate Kanita's activities in recent days.
"Mom, Brother Fedo can't possibly do something that could make us all disappointed in him right?" asked Kayo who was feeling a little restless after the mother told her what her mother Kanita said this morning.
"Mom doesn't know for sure either, Kay. We better wait for news from Mom's man first. If something goes wrong with him, then we go to the company to meet your brother" said Abigail with a look of calm face.
Fedo is his favorite son, and Abigail believes that his son is unlikely to cross the line that could make him feel disappointed. Since childhood Abigail has applied a very hard upbringing so that Fedo does not harass a woman's self-esteem, unless they both want. But Kanita, this woman is one exception. Abigail is worried that Kanita will use the moment Fedo came to see her at the hotel as a means to ensnare her. Although it was not difficult for Abigail to eliminate all evidence that led to her son, she was not that cruel woman who would let her son run away from responsibility. Inevitably Fedo will have to accept the consequences if what Abigail fears becomes a reality.
As Abigail and Kayo were busy with their own thoughts, two guards came and bowed to them. Abigail then nodded her head, signalling for them to speak immediately. He could not wait to find out the truth.
"Madam, we've gathered all the information that Madam wants. Yesterday evening, Mr. Fedo went to a hotel to visit Ms. Kanita. They were both in the same room for a long time. For what's going on inside we can't figure it out because it's already under hotel security's control."
Abigail's jaw tightens. Kayo who realized the atmosphere had changed immediately asked the guard to go back to continue his report. Suddenly her feelings become unpleasant, she begins to think no-no about her brother.
"Regarding what Miss Kanita did after meeting with Young Master Fedo, she just visited a club to have fun with some of her friends. Then he went back to the hotel to rest. Then this morning Miss Kanita went home to her parents until now."
"Are you sure there's nothing wrong with the information you got?" ask Abigail to make sure.
"No, Mistress. We dare to guarantee that the report is very accurate."
"Then go. Back to your jobs."
"Okay, Madam."
After the guards left, Abigail looked agitated. Somehow his feelings kept saying that something important had been missed. And it could be this important thing that will ensnare Fedo on a big thing related to Kanita.
If Kanita only went to a club after meeting with Fedo, then why did Mili say as if Kanita had just received a very bad treatment from someone? I'm sure Fedo's goal in meeting Kanita wasn't to vent her anger. She had come to take Kanita to make peace with what was going on between them. But why do I feel so unsettled? What really happened that night? Inner Abigail.
"Mom, what's wrong? Was there a guard report that stuck in Mom's mind?" ask Kayo curiously.
"She, Kay. And I'm sure the problem isn't as simple as what they just reported. Something is awkward here. Like there is a puzzle piece that is deliberately hidden by someone. Butwhat? That's what makes you feel uneasy" Abigail replied, frowning.
"I think we should just ask Fedo's sister directly, Mom. If Mom's instinct has said that, it's a sign that something is not right here. Kanita is a crazy and cunning woman, I don't want Fedo to be his victim, Mom. We have to move as quickly as possible before Kanita gets one step ahead in carrying out her rotten plan" Kayo said.
"Your brother's still out of the office, Kay. It's free if we come there now. There is even your father who is happy because Mother came to visit. Let's just wait for the afternoon, did we just go there?" Abigail.
"Oh, I guess why when Mom suddenly held my arm. It turns out that because of this," said Kayo, sighing. He was self-conscious.
Abigail nodded. Then he asked his daughter to sit down. While flipping through fashion magazines in his hands, Abigail again discussed the continuation of her daughter's relationship with Jackson. To this day Abigail has not received good news about when her daughter will be proposed by the handsome doctor.
"Kay, has Jackson not talked about a proposal lately? It's been some time since Mom and Dad questioned the seriousness of your relationship. Jackson can't possibly break his own promise, right?"
"It's not like it happened, ma'am. Jackson is currently very busy at the hospital, and it just so happens that Aunt Liona has not advised him to come to propose any time soon. He said the day was still not right for the two of us, so until now Jackson still did not come to see Father and Mother. As soon as the story goes," Kayo replied explaining to the mother the reason why her future husband had still not come to propose.
"But it shouldn't be long, right? I can't wait to pick a wedding dress for your wedding."
Kayo chuckles. She knew very well that the point behind her mother's words just now wasn't about the wedding dress alone. Except for the presence of a grandchild in the family. If waiting for her brother to marry Luri, then it is still very long because Luri herself will still continue her education first. So the only way that her mother could soon have a grandchild was to urge her to marry Jackson immediately.
"Mom-Mom, just say that I can't wait to get a grandchild. Aye right?" ledek Kayo with a nosy smile. He even purposely mengoel the chin of the mother to make this beautiful woman chuckle softly.
"What else can I expect from you and your sister besides the presence of a granddaughter, Kay? Now that Mom and Dad are getting older, we just want to spend some time with your kids later. That's why I'm always fussy by not stopping to ask when Jackson will come to propose. I want to call Grandma!" sahut Abigail is honest. It is true that he craves a cute baby who will decorate his old age later.
"Okay, my dear mother. I'm going to force Jackson to come and marry me as soon as possible. Then after that I will also force Jackson to work hard in making dough so that Mom can be immediately called Grandma. How, I'm a very obedient child, right?"
Abigail laughed loudly when she heard her daughter's silly words. He then rubbed Kayo's head affectionately, not expecting that the little girl who used to be so naughty has now had a prospective life partner.
"After marriage, take good care of your household, Kay. Obey, and solve all problems with a cool head. Understood?" said Abigail who suddenly felt overwhelmed. He seemed unwilling to let his beloved daughter be taken away by someone else.
"Understood, Mother. I promise I will always remember well all the advice you gave me. And I also promise to live happily with Jackson and my little household. So you don't worry, do you? I'm not getting married yet" Kayo said, hugging her mother.
This kind of talk always made Kayo feel sad. Sad not because something hurts, but sad because it feels very happy to have parents like Father Mattheo and Mother Abigail. Kayo is very lucky to be raised by a married couple who always lavish her with a lot of love. To make him aspire to be the same parent as his father and mother.
