THE CHARM OF THE VILLAGE GIRL

THE CHARM OF THE VILLAGE GIRL
(FEGG) ~ Favors No Tanding

Luri who was sitting in the study chair immediately went to the door when she heard a knock from outside. She smiled when she found her mother standing at the door of her room.

"Did Mom interrupt your study time, honey?" asked Nita while watching her daughter's face.

"Not at all, Mom. Come on in, it's not good to talk in front of the door like this" replied Luri while holding her hand to enter the room.

Actually, it's quite late now, and it's not the right time to talk about a problem. But Nita forced herself to go to her daughter's room because there was something very disturbing in her mind. This is about Luri who will continue her education abroad. Nita worries about her daughter's relationship with Fedo as the man is still unaware of her daughter's departure.

"Sit down, Mom. I want to clean up the books I read," Luri said, helping her mother sit on the bed.

"Hmmm, can you sit down with Mom first, Luri? There is something important that I want to talk to you about" Nita said as she held her daughter's hand against leaving. "Mother promise won't be long. Yea?"

Luri looked at her mother's face with a curious look. A second later he immediately realized what important things the mother wanted to talk to him about. Immediately Luri sat on the edge of the bed, waiting for the mother to let out a disturbance that disturbed her mind.

"Darling, there's only two months left for you to finish school here. Right?" tanya Nita started the conversation.

"Yes, Mother. If there is no obstacle, in three months I will go abroad" replied Luri.

Silent. Nita felt heavy enough to talk back when she realized that she would soon be left by her beloved daughter. He who had wanted to discuss Fedo suddenly forgot about it.

"Mom, what makes you nervous, hm? Just tell me, not in the sniffle. Mom said she wanted to discuss something important with me. What's?" asked Luri while gently stroking the hand of the mother who was squeezing the end of her clothes. The woman he so respected was in a state of uneasiness.

"Luri, shouldn't you tell Fedo about your departure abroad? I'm afraid she's angry because she feels unappreciated. You just got your blessing from Mom and Dad. I'm worried that this will affect your relationship," Nita replied, letting out the unrest that was raging in her mind.

"Mother don't worry, I will definitely tell Brother Fedo about this. But not now" said Luri. "Sister Fedo is very possessive. I'm afraid he'll justify all sorts of ways to prevent me from going to college abroad. I understand the worry you feel. But I think this is the best. Lusi is also thinking the same thing as me, Mom. The day before I left, the plan was to tell Brother Fedo."

"But Luri, isn't this going to be a problem? It's not that I don't respect your decision, I just don't want to see you grieve if Fedo gets angry about not feeling appreciated."

"Mom, if Fedo really loves me, he will definitely understand why I did this to him. My goal in winning a college scholarship abroad was to be able to be with her. My feelings are sincere, and I am well aware that status is very much needed so that our relationship can be balanced. Maybe Fedo and his family do not mind the very simple circumstances of our family. But I'm not blind that their reputation will be at stake if they take on a daughter-in-law who has an unequal background. Fedo and I have two hands each. We won't be able to shut up everyone who's gossiping behind us. You know what I mean, don't you?"

Nita let out a long sigh after hearing her daughter's explanation. It made perfect sense for Luri to have such thoughts. This daughter is very mature in dealing with her life problems even though she is not even twenty years old.

"Mom can't blame your thoughts, Luri. That's right, and your reasons make perfect sense. I'm sorry that you had to be born to poor parents like Mom and Dad. If only you were born in the middle of a rich family, you would not have to sacrifice like this just to be seen as worthy by your beloved family. I'm sorry, son!"

"Geez Mom, why are you talking like this, hm? I don't mind being born your daughter. I'm even very grateful because thanks to you guys, I was able to grow into a happy girl. Don't feel guilty just because we're destined to be a poor family, ma'am. Be thankful, because there are still many families out there that are much poorer than ours. Please don't talk like that again, will you?"

Luri got up from the lap of the mother then hugged her tightly. Her heart was sad to hear her mother's words just now. Indeed, never thought the slightest regret in his heart for having been born and raised by parents who did not have abundant treasures. For Luri, treasure is not everything. Hypocritical if she said she didn't want a comfortable life, Luri would of course want to. But not everyone who has a lot of wealth can feel the same happiness as he feels from his family. It was from her parents that Luri was finally able to grow into a smart girl who was rich in affection. Also because of the strict upbringing of his Father and Mother Luri can live life with legowo.

"Hmmm, God is really very good to Father and Mother for leaving beautiful and kind daughters like you and your brother and sister. I'm so lucky to have you all, baby,"' said Nita full of days.

"We who should feel lucky to have been raised by great parents like Father and Mother. Don't get tired of always guiding us, Mom. For we cannot be like now without your prayers. I love Mom and Dad very much. May you always be healthy and live a long life so that I can have the opportunity to repay the services you have given me since I was born into this world. Amiinnn!"

Nita cried at the heartfelt prayer that came out of her daughter's mouth. He bent his body so he could kiss the smiling girl on his lap. It turns out that it is true that happiness is not always present in the form of wealth. The proof is that Nita can soar full of happiness just by hearing the outpouring of love from her children. In her heart, Nita expressed gratitude to God for the kindness she received in her life so far. Having a responsible husband and children who are so understanding, is a pleasure that is incomparable.

"You're all the jewels of Father and Mother's heart, Luri. Thank you for being our daughters" Nita said with teary eyes.

"Thank you for giving birth to me, Nania and Kak Lusi in this world, Mother. We love Mom and Dad. Forever," said Luri while holding back tears.

The atmosphere of Luri's room turned blue as she and her mother both thanked each other. What a heartwarming sight for anyone who looks.
