THE SAVIOR'S
CHAPTER 10 REASONS

“I'll try it.” 

After saying that, Dylan directly hit Ethan on the shoulder and looked at Ethan with a look of disbelief. 

“What did you just say, Ethan? What if it fails and instead makes the girl finally reject the guess offer to join the World Peace Forces?” 

Ethan took a breath while looking at the girl named Sarayu who was with Eighth and had a little chat. Steadily, Ethan then replied, “I'm sure I can do it, Dylan. If the girl Sarayu is indeed the girl who appeared in my vision, then her future should be able to be seen. If indeed the girl is the savior of this world, then her future should also be related to world peace.” 

“You sure you want to try it?” Dylan asked with a softening of his voice. “If it fails, maybe we will lose the chance to save this world and that girl, Ethan.” 

“I should have tried it, Dylan. By looking at her future, I will know that girl is the savior of this world or not. By looking at his future, I might be able to find a way to save him, to help his efforts in saving the world.” 

Hearing Ethan's reply filled with confidence, Dylan then sighed. “Huft, okay. I trust you, Ethan.”

After solidifying his intentions and seeing his best friend-Dylan believe in his decision, Ethan then re-enters the transfer room along with Dylan who follows right behind him. Once inside the room, Ethan receives a stare from Sarayu - a curious gaze at the request Sarayu made to him. 

“How, Sir? Did you accept my request?” 

Ethan walked closer to Sarayu while extending his hand towards Sarayu. “If you want to see your future that I will see, you must accept this helping hand, Miss Sarayu.” 

Once the distance between Ethan and Sarayu was only two steps away, Sarayu then reached out her hand and received a helping hand from Ethan. Seeing Sarayu's willingness, Ethan then uses the ability of sight from his eyes to see Sarayu's future. 

For a few minutes, both Ethan and Sarayu fell silent while looking at the future being shown by the abilities Ethan has. And during that time, Dylan and Eighth who were in the same room could only remain silent while waiting. 

Suddenly. . . Sarayu pulls her hand from Ethan's and makes the connection between Ethan and Sarayu come to a standstill. 

“Do you see your future, Miss?” ask Dylan. 

Sarayu nodded her head. “I saw it.” 

“Then what did you see, Miss? Do you see yourself as the savior of this world?” 

Sarayu nodded her head again. “Yes, that is, Sir. Can you return me to my place? In two days, I will give my answer to the offer that Mr. Dylan and Mr. Ethan gave me. What sir objected?” 

A bright smile appeared on Dylan's face when he heard Sarayu's reply and request. “Of course not. Miss would like to consider it, I'm already happy.” 

After saying his sentence, Dylan then asked Eighth to call Sixth and give the order to Sixth to return Sarayu back to her home and country. While waiting for Sixth to arrive, Dylan took Sarayu to a rest area where he could relax and get some food and drinks. 

Dylan, who was pleased with Sarayu's consideration, momentarily forgot his friend Ethan, who was still frozen in his place, after removing his connection with Sarayu. Frozen, Ethan lowered his head and looked at his feet. Unknowingly, tears fall and wet Ethan's face.

Two days later. . . 

In accordance with Sarayu's promise two days ago, Ethan along with Sixth came back to the country of Indonesia, Island J and City J where Sarayu lives. Upon arriving at the promised place and time, Ethan along with Sixth immediately saw the figure of Sarayu who was sitting waiting on one of the chairs in the city park. 

“Miss Sarayu,” greet Ethan when seeing Sarayu. 

Ethan who heard the question from Sarayu then turned his head to look at Sixth and asked, “How did you get Sarayu back two days ago?” 

“Miss Sarayu asked me to appear on a deserted street near her home. It looks like Miss Sarayu deliberately chose the place because there are no CCTV cameras around and it is also rarely passed by many people, Mr.” 

Hearing Sixth's reply, Ethan then turned his head back and looked towards Sarayu. Ethan made a small smile knot on his face. “Miss don't have to worry about that. In the World Peace Forces, there is someone who has the special ability to sabotage entire CCTV cameras and technology around the world. So our sudden appearance and in the middle of this crowd, will not leave the slightest trace.” 

Sarayu's mouth was wide open and gaping due to her shock. “Is that true?” 

“That's right, Miss.” 

After Ethan answers, the people around Ethan, Sarayu and Sixth complain about their cell phones being disrupted. Sarayu who saw the situation then smiled towards Ethan. 

“It seems like it is. Your squad seems to be made up of great people, Mr.” 

“That's.” Ethan's eyes, which had been looking around him with vigilance, then stopped in Sarayu's hands carrying two suitcases. “What is this only item that Miss want to bring?” 

Sarayu nodded her head. “Ya, just this.” 

“Then how do Miss get permission from parents, Miss? From the information I received, Miss still lives together with Miss's parents because she has not found a job.” 

Hearing Ethan's words, Sarayu then points her index finger at Ethan with a small smile. “Master just answered the question Mister.” 

“Could it?” 

Sarayu nodded her head again, this time a little more steady than before. “Yes, I reasoned to get a job out of town and that's why I was able to get out with these two big suitcases. After all what I said wasn't entirely wrong, I did get a job. It's just that the job might be rejected outright by my mom, if my mom finds out.” 

Ethan nodded his head in understanding. Ethan, who has read the information from a girl named Sarayu, knows well that Sarayu's background is just an ordinary girl from an ordinary family even though their parents have separated. With that ordinary background, any mother would definitely refuse vehemently if she heard her daughter set out for the battlefield. “I could've guessed it, Miss. But. . . This Miss decision, is Miss not too quick to decide? I know Miss is looking for a job, but this job is a dangerous job every step of the way. Although she can see the future of Miss, it does not mean the future that Miss sees will not change because of other choices that Miss may take on her journey. Doesn't Miss take longer to think about it?”

A few months ago, Ethan might have gone to great lengths to find a figure in his vision that would bring peace back to the earth where he lives. But after all the effort made to find the figure, seeing the girl figure right before his eyes and realizing the reality the girl in his vision was just an ordinary girl who had never even been conscripted, he said, for a moment Ethan felt bad. The girl before Ethan is currently Sarayu, still living peacefully. Making Sarayu plunge into the battlefield and take away the peace that is in Sarayu's life, Ethan feels his actions are a mistake. 

“Mr Ethan, I know what you're worried about. I know master feels that I who currently live in peace should not plunge into a war where I should not be involved.”

“Miss guesses it easily,” Ethan said with a small smile on his lips. “Because Miss has guessed it will be more bai-“ 

But before Ethan finishes his speech, Sarayu cuts Ethan and turns to Ethan instead. “Have you imagined, what would I be if I didn't accept Mister's offer?” 

Ethan shook his head. “I never thought about it, Miss.” 

“In my mind if I don't accept Master's offer, I might be unemployed for a long time and become a burden on my parents and sister. If I had been unemployed for a long time and didn't find a job, I might have chosen to marry just because I didn't want to trouble my family. Then what happened after that? A boring life is coming into my life. Give birth to a child, raise her and then die. I would probably die a normal death like I've seen from most deaths over the years. But if I accept Master's offer, at least I can be useful to some people. I might be able to let go of status as a family burden and at least make my family proud. Then if on his way death finally picks me up, at least my death will be a little honorable, Mr.” 

Ethan looked at Sarayu and did not expect that an ordinary girl with an ordinary background could speak to him like that with eyes full of confidence and without fear though. 

“. . . No matter how I think about it, dying like that feels better than the first death I described to Mr.”
