THE SAVIOR'S
CHAPTER 53 CONFESSION THAT WAS DELAYED
“A-what did you just do?” Seventh who did not seem to hear clearly asked back to Sarayu. “Can you repeat the answer that First asked earlier?”
“I made a protector with air vacuum inside.”
“How can you think about it, Savior?” This time it was Second's turn to ask Sarayu.
“I-it was because of the flood that Fifth called. Because the protective barrier I used to trap him was capable of being destroyed by Fifth, so I imagined a protective barrier that could lock Fifth in and make his movements stop. The only thing I think about is making a vacuum inside that shield. I guess I can't do it, but I can actually pull out the air inside the protector and make it vacuum.”
“Wahhh. .” After saying that, Seventh applauded the idea that came out of Sarayu's mind in no time. “Your brain, can I copy it and make it my brain too, Savior??”
Buk. Sixth hits Seventh on the head.
“Why did you hit, Sixth?”
“Just want to make you aware even if you copy Savior's brain, it'll still be stupid if it's inside your head.”
“Fuck you, Sixth!!”
Seventh attempted to hit Sixth to avenge the blow he received. However, due to the difference in height of their bodies far enough, making Seventh's efforts ended in vain.
“First, Second, Sixth and Seventh, please take Fifth to Third place!” Ethan as chairman then interrupts the fray between Sixth and Seventh by giving orders.
“We understand.” First represents his comrades to answer Ethan's orders.
First along with three colleagues prepared to lift Fifth's body using a stretcher that had been prepared in the training room and the viewing room of the training ground. Before leaving the rehearsal viewing room, Ethan calls Sixth and gives him additional orders.
“Sixth!”
“Ya, Sir?” Sixth along with First, Second and Seventh stop their steps due to a call from Ethan.
“After dropping off Fifth, come back here.”
“Good, Mr.”
After hearing additional orders from Ethan, First along with three of his colleagues then left the rehearsal viewing room to escort Fifth. Now in that room all that remains are Ethan, Sarayu and Winner.
Ethan looked at Winner with a smile on his face. “Now Mr. Winner, I will give you a few minutes to say goodbye to Savior. As soon as Sixth returns from dropping Fifth off, Sixth along with your new bodyguard will escort you back to your country and to your residence.”
Winner looked towards Sarayu with slightly sad eyes. Winner knew this would happen whether it was sooner or later.
Right this is gonna happen sooner or later. I finally understood why every love always says a word forever or a lifetime in addition. Finally I know the reason people always say that a lifetime of time will never be enough when being with someone they love.
I thought those words were just a joke. But I really felt it when I was with Sarayu.
Winner looked at Ethan after looking at Sarayu. “Can Mr Zero give me time to talk one last time with Savior?”
“Sure. I'll wait outside.” Ethan turned around and walked towards the door. Just before opening the door and exiting, Ethan presses the off button on a communication channel connected to the rest of the communication channels at the World Peace Forces Headquarters.
Ethan has come out and the door has been closed.
“Looks like we should split up, Winner.” Sarayu opened her mouth first to say goodbye. “Kelak. . . You should be more careful again.”
“I know. I'll do it.” Winner obeyed Sarayu.
“Sorry because I haven't been your bodyguard much longer, Winner.”
“I know. You went to war to save many lives and the survival of this world. You went to the battlefield to finish this war, didn't you?” said Winner who then sat in a chair nearby.
“Yes. In order to stop the Alliance of Arael and its Knights, I must plunge into the battlefield and repulse the Alliance of Arael.” Sarayu then sat down beside Winner. The two sat not too close, but not too far away.
“If you come back from the battlefield, can you come to me?”
“Why?”
Sarayu gave a small smile hearing Winner's silly-sounding words in her ears. “Ya, okay. If I'm still alive after coming home from the battlefield, I'll come to you so you can see me and make sure I'm alive.”
“You have to promise to do it, Sarayu.”
“Ya. .ya. .ya, I promise, Winner.”
Silence for a moment became the third person who accompanied Sarayu and Winner. Sarayu was silent because she no longer knew what to say to Winner. While Winner was silent because he was gathering courage in him. The courage of his buried for years.
“Sa-rayu. . . se-yet I go, there's something I want to tell you.”
“What?”
“Two days ago you asked me not about the girl I like?”
Sarayu nodded her head. “Yes, I did ask about it. Do you want to tell me now?”
“That girl. . was never aware of my feelings for her even after I had always been around her and tried hard to attract her attention. The girl was my first love and when we finally got separated from graduating from college, I thought I would never see her again.”
Sarayu turned towards Winner with a surprised face. “You met him again??”
Winner nodded her head. “Yes, I accidentally met him again after a few years had passed. I thought my first love, which was always a secret, would remain a secret until the end of my life. But after going through so many scary things, I felt that I shouldn't have kept this feeling from her.”
“You want to make a confession to him, Winner?” ask Sarayu to make sure.
“Yes, I want to do it. Whaddya think? Is it wrong if I do?”
Sarayu shook her head. “No. That feeling of liking is everyone's right and you have every right to do that, Winner. As long as you don't force the girl to accept your feelings, then your confession is the right thing to do.”
Winner got up from her seat and looked towards Sarayu who was still sitting. “Can you stand, Sarayu? I want to hug you as a sign of farewell. Can I do it??”
“Sure.” Sarayu got up from her seat and received a warm hug from Winner.
“Remember to meet me after you return from the battlefield.” Winner hugged Sarayu's body tightly. Winner tried to record this moment well, from Sarayu's body odor, her heart beats with Sarayu and her happy feeling of being able to hug Sarayu after her secret love for Sarayu.
I used to think I'd never see you again, my first love. But it seems like God and destiny still pity me because my feelings for you are still strong even after all these years. I met you again and this time I will make a confession to you, Sarayu. This time this confession will not be delayed again as I used to do.
“I'll remember it.”
Hc. . tok. . .
“Master Winner soon we'll be leaving.”
Winner hears Ethan's voice warning her that the time to part with Sarayu is near. Sarayu tries to free herself from Winner's embrace.
“It's time for you to go, Winner.”
“Wait, there's still one more I want to say.” Winner refuses to release Sarayu from her embrace.
“What is it?” Sarayu listened to Winner.
“After this I will make a confession to the girl. What say?”
“That fast??” Sarayu was surprised to hear Winner's question.
“Yes, I have to hurry-eepat do it.”
“Then do it. You've loved it for a long time so I think faster is better, Winner.”
Winner let go of his embrace and looked at Sarayu with a deep look. His eyes looked at every detail of Sarayu's current face and stored it well in his memory. Winner gathered her courage and then began to make a master. “The girl I like is you, Sarayu. The girl who never saw me was you. The red apple girl who made that misunderstanding was also you. The girl I met a while ago, whom I thought I could never see again was also you. The first love and the secret love I've been keeping is you, Sarayu. I love you, Sarayu.”
After saying that. . . Winner then walks away leaving Sarayu frozen in shock, out of the room where Ethan is waiting for her.
