59. That Story
Faiq's car appears to be traveling down the road at moderate speed. They just went around the city and stopped somewhere as Hanako, Iyaz and Izar wanted. After enjoying the scenery somewhere, they will return to continue their journey. It was always like that for one day they were together.
Until finally they saw an artificial lake that looks beautiful because it is surrounded by neatly arranged flower plants. It was as if there was an invisible force forcing Faiq to stop the car he was driving. Shera almost hit the car's dash board when Faiq stepped on the brake pedal.
“ Astaghfirullah aladziim. Why Well...?” shera asked in panic.
“ Sorry Bun, not on purpose. You are gapapa..?” ask Faiq while checking on Shera.
“ Gapapa. But why suddenly he ngeremnya..?” ask Shera again.
“ I don't know either. Children....,” call Faiq while looking back to make sure Hanako, Iyaz and Izar are in the middle seat.
There is no lawfulness. Faiq and Shera looked back and saw that the seats were empty and the doors were wide open. They panic but only for a moment. They breathed a sigh of relief when they saw Hanako, Iyaz and Izar standing in front of the car while staring into the middle of the artificial lake.
“ That's them. But the rich are weird as they are Yeah Well.” said Shera lirih.
“ You're right Bun. Let me check first yes, you stay here and do not need to go down..,” said Faiq while opening the car door.
Faiq got out of the car while staring around the lake. Seen many people who are also enjoying the beauty of the artificial lake. There are several pairs of teenagers who appear to be sitting on the edge of the lake while taking pictures. There are also families with small children who are fun to relax while enjoying the provisions they bring. While in another part there is a group of young men who also look relaxed while joking. Everything looks normal and normal. But Faiq felt that there was something strange there.
Silent, silent and without sound. Well, that's what happened. Realizing that Faiq approached Hanako, Iyaz and Izar. Faiq saw that his third face looked tense. Their gazes were straight forward as if they were only resting on one point. Faiq smiled faintly then patted the shoulders of Iyaz, Izar and Hanako alternated until resuscitated the three of them from their elation at something.
“ Assalamualaikum Children..” greet Faiq on the three prodigies.
“ Wa alaikumsalam Father, wa aleikumsalam Papa..,” sahut the twins and Hanako together.
Hearing their answer made Faiq smile because it meant they were already ‘back’. Faiq turned to Shera and gave the code if his wife could join him and the three prodigies. Shera nodded then got out of the car and immediately approached them.
“ We rest here while lunch yes Bun...,” Faiq said.
“ Ready Well...,” said Shera then rushed to remove the provisions he had prepared from the car.
As if nothing had happened, Hanako, Iyaz and Izar were quick to help. The three roll out mats on the edge of the lake and arrange food and drinks in the middle, after which they eat voraciously while telling a lot of things.
Realizing something was different, Faiq clapped three times and succeeded !. Hanako, Iyaz and Izar gasped in shock and looked at Faiq. Then Faiq asked the three to gulp down the water he prepared and wash their faces with it.
“ Alhamdulillah.., you are gapapa..?” shera asked carefully.
“ We gapapa Bun. Why Us...?” tanya Izar did not understand.
The three prodigies began to tell stories in turn. And their story makes all the feathers of Shera's nape bristling. Shera was docked towards her husband while holding Faiq's arm which gently patted his fingers to calm him down.
It turned out that Hanako, Iyaz and Izar saw the appearance of something like watching a drama. There is a beginning of the story, a core of the story and a tragic ending. And all three are able to tell what they see alternately and sequentially.
Starting from Iyaz who said if he saw a woman was babysitting a child that could be ascertained is his child. The woman seemed to love her son very much. They used to play on the land long before the lake was made and used as a city park area.
The woman named Siti and her son named Ubay lived in a tree house made by Siti's husband. Siti's husband left Siti and her son to work in another city but never returned let alone send money to them. Siti had to work odd jobs to support herself and her only child. Ubay also grew up healthy and smart in the care of his mother.
When Ubay was seven years old, Siti's husband came home with many gifts and souvenirs. Siti and her son are happy not to be upset. Because they think there is no need to live hard anymore if Siti's husband lives with them.
Apparently Siti's husband had other intentions. He came home to take his son with him without Siti. It made Siti angry and rejected her husband's intentions. Moreover, Ubay also did not want to be far from his mother. Ubay prefers to live with Siti who has always been there for him since childhood rather than follow her father who does look successful.
“ Don't be selfish Siti, Ubay also have to go to school. He needs education and a decent life. It is not rich here that is like a primitive person because it lives on a tree.!” said Siti's husband while sneering.
“ Don't forget Kang. You have made our lives like primitive people. You made this tree house for us first. You told me to keep Ubay safe and not to be bullied by bad people or wild animals while you were away at work. If you are capable, you should make us a decent home. Or invite us to move to another place and stay with you.” said Siti while holding back growling.
“ I will indeed bring Ubay to live with me. Just Ubay, without you..” said Siti's husband honestly.
“ What do you mean Kang. You want to misahin I'm with my son..?” ask Siti not to believe it.
“ It was for the good of Ubay, Ti. Are you happy to see Our Children being ridiculed for being stupid and poor. If I don't want my son to be underestimated by rich people that..,” said Siti's husband cynical.
“ I also do not want my son to be underestimated by Kang people. But why don't you take Me too, I'm Ubay's Mother, Your Wife.!” siti protests with high voice.
“ There's no place for you there. My house is very small and only enough for two people.” said Siti's husband while staring in the other direction.
“ What is smaller than this tree house Kang..?” ask Siti in a soft voice.
“ Mmm, slightly bigger. But the existing room Kupake already made naro my work equipment and also school supplies Ubay later. So the remaining room only fit for Me and Ubay, it was only enough for Us to sleep and not play around.
“ You lied Kang...!” siti said hysterically.
“ It's up to you to believe or ga. The important thing is I will take Ubay with me.” said Siti's husband.
“ I don't want to come with you. If I go, Mom should come too.!” ubay said suddenly to the surprise of his parents.
