Fake Princess

Fake Princess
CCLXII Chapter

Izumi stood up and walked up to the man, looking down with both hands clasping the man's shoulders. For a long time they seemed to talk before the two of them stood up and walked over to us.

"How is he doing?" Haruki said as the two of them sat before us.

"I'm sorry and thank you" said the man prostrating himself to Haruki.

"That's not what I want to hear, I just want to know... Who did it?" Haruki looked back at him.

"I don't know myself, they suddenly came, took all our possessions. Killing villagers who tried to fight back, and... And" said the man, his head stopped, with both hands clasping tightly onto the trousers he was wearing.

"Do you remember any traits or anything related to them?"

"They all had a number mark engraved on each of their faces. And Heaven," said the man moving his head back to Haruki's gaze.

"Some of them said Heaven. I can't wait to have fun in heaven, some of them said that just before I left my Son to seek help" he said back in a trembling voice.

"Your name" Izumi glanced at him.

"Mas'ud, my name is Mas'ud" the man replied with his head bowed.

"Say Mas'ud, do you know anything about Heaven?" Haruki said with both hands crossed to look at the man.

"It's a place where you can do everything, seek your wealth or desire to kill someone. There, animals are nobler than humans," he said in response to Haruki's words.

"How did you know that?" Izumi chimed in on her words.

"Me, I've been there once with my brother. Because he said, you will get a lot of money when you get home from that place. I didn't expect, if that place was nothing but hell" he said back with his head bowed.

"My brother died silly there because he was trying to help a baby who was thrown into the air by a group of young men. If you're strong, you can get anything... But if you're as weak as I am, there's no hope of survival there" he said, raising his head blankly forward.

"After hearing this, will you still go there Haruki?" Tanya Izumi turned her gaze to the downcast Haruki with a slight smile etched on her face.

"Do you still have to ask me that, Izu-chan," she said, raising her head smilingly at Izumi.

"Fucking sister. Since the baj*ngan were there, then I gladly agree to everything," Izumi replied to Haruki's gaze.

"Everything has been decided, so rest up for the journey tomorrow," Haruki said, laying down his body on the ground with both hands moving back against his head.

"What has been decided?" The man who moved his head to the right and left looked at Haruki and Izumi who had been lying down.

"Are you okay? Do you want to take turns riding my horse?" Izumi said to the man named Mas'ud who was walking in the footsteps of our horse.

"I'm fine, walking like this... It's normal for me," he said, gasping for breath that sounded irregular.

"If you die on the way, how will you avenge your son?" Reveal Izumi as he stops the footsteps of his horse.

"I'm fine" said Mas'ud running up to us who stopped waiting for him.

"Do you want to ride my horse? My horse is not as big as my brother's" Aeneas told him.

"no need. To be honest, I couldn't ride a horse" she laughed softly with one hand rubbing the back of her downcast head.

"But if it goes on like this, you'll be hindering the journey. Izumi! Take him," said Haruki, moving his horse quickly leaving us.

"Nii-chan," I said to Izumi who moved her horse towards Mas'ud.

"Go and follow Haruki, I'll catch up with you," Izumi said, addressing me and Aeneas in turn.

Both of my hands moved firmly swaying the bridle, the horse I was riding on was speeding up following Haruki's increasingly visible back. My eyes shifted to Cia who was smiling widely as the wind slightly blew her short hair away.

Unlike before, he seemed to really enjoy riding especially when I increased the speed of the horses we rode. Although, the longer... The worry filled my body.

Not only that, the burning and itching that attacks the body is very disturbing. I don't know what my body smells like right now...

After we buried so many dead bodies last night, we didn't have time to clean up. The well at the end of the village, the water was mixed with the smell of blood with several corpses in it.

We even had to close the well with the ground because it did not work when we several times wanted to remove the corpse that floated in it. Really exhausting, really stifling, really depressing.

And that man, he lost his daughter, he lost his house, he lost his friends or even his relatives....

And he was still trying to smile like that.

Goddamnit! Even one, even one... I'll kill those baj*ngan!
