Fake Princess

Fake Princess
CCCLVII Chapter

A long trumpet sound rang out in the ears, my two feet stepping slightly forward as the enemy troops moved closer and closer. The giant wooden weapons they were carrying were also moving in the middle of the army.

I turned to look at Haruki who was still standing quietly, the slight sunlight falling down on the armor he was wearing increasingly making him look dashing, "what's the matter?" He asked when he looked at me.

"You look so handsome nii-chan," I said, "really? Did you just realize your brother's charm?" He asked back before turning his eyes to look at the enemy troops back.

"Now that I understand it, why do so many women fall in love with you" I said, following her eyes, "when have you been so good at flirting with someone?" Haruki was followed by a powerful pinch that he did on my cheek.

"I tell you the truth" I replied, I held up one palm of my hand as Haruki let go of the pinch he was doing.

"Nii-chan, as sister ... I want you to be happy, because of that," I said, putting my palm on his back, "don't try to lie to yourself just thinking about our happiness. Because just like you, we must also think the same," I said smilingly looking at him.

"I see," he said, putting his palm beside my head, I felt a gentle swipe coming to touch the side of my head.

Haruki lowered his palm earlier as a boisterous voice grew louder, I thrust my head back as he did, "I'll check it," I said, I turned my body around and walked towards the back wall of the fort.

"What's going on?!" Revealing me with a slight shout towards the crowd of Knights below, "there is no serious problem Hime-sama, only," they stopped, some of them raised their heads up.

I did the same thing as them, when I did it ... I just realized, if the sky has darkened. The wind was blowing slowly followed by the droplets of water falling on my face. The longer, the water droplet that felt slowly touching the skin, now gradually strengthened piercing my skin.

When my eyes were diverted again to a large torch that was deliberately prepared for fire during the war, the torch was now extinguished when the falling rain touched it more and more. I lifted my palm forward, long I stared at the water flowing in my palm.

Can't you just let all the plans I've prepared go smoothly God?

I lowered my head again to the Knights who, "forget the torch, just prepare the second plan!" I shout loudly to those who reply with a soft nod of their heads.

I turned around again, moving my feet towards Haruki who was still looking at me. Several times my eyes closed slightly as rumbling sounds filled the ears. "Did they stop moving?" Reveal me, my palm moved to wipe my face filled with rainwater.

"I thought they would delay the attack until the rain stopped," Gritav opened his voice, I slightly turned to look at him who had been standing behind me.

"But we can't let our guard down, what if they attack us while we're being such a lax?" My voice came back out in response to his words.

"Command half the Knights to stand guard, and the other half to rest," Haruki said slightly glancing towards Gritav.

"According to your orders, sir," he said with a slight bow.

"Why, did you order her to do all that nii-chan?" I asked with a little astonishment, "listen carefully to these words of mine, Sachi! If we force all Knights to stand guard when the weather is not favorable like this. That would lower all the stamina they had, but ... If we rest everything, we won't be able to dodge when the enemy forces attack suddenly," he said glancing at me.

I crawled out of the tent near the bonfire lit by the Knights. As I walked, some of them immediately marginalized their bodies to give me some walking space.

My two feet stepped closer to Haruki who was sitting in front of the campfire along with Gritav beside her. "Haru-nii," I said standing nearby giving a towel to him.

"You'll get sick if your hair gets wet like that nii-chan," I said opening the towel fold and then putting it gently over her head. "Thank you, I didn't even notice that my hair was wet" he said, moving the towel around his head.

"I'll help you nii-chan," I said standing behind her, letting my hands grab the towel on her head and rubbing the towel over her hair.

"Tomorrow, are we going to attack first or are we waiting for them to do so?" Gritav said he lifted a stone that he knew where to find, then placed it on the ground in front of Haruki.

"What do you think of this, General?" Haruki slightly raised his head, "General? Me?" I asked a little confused looking at him, Haruki moved his head nodding slowly in response to my words.

"If you ask me nii-chan, then I would suggest attacking them before giving them a chance to attack us" I said, leaning my arms against both shoulders.

"Give me a reason why we should do it" he said slightly moving his head towards me.

"Because of the rain that fell all day, it really made one of my plans unworkable" I said walking and sat down beside Haruki.

"Why can't we do it Hime-sama?" A male voice suddenly rang out, I raised my head to look at one of the Knights who spoke earlier, "me, order you to burn the enemy's weapons with the fire we have prepared right?" I asked him back, The knight nodded his head followed by a nod from the other Knights.

"I, will take away from the worst possible, because I ... Don't want to hang all our lives from luck" I said back to all those who were still glued to me.

"Then? What's the worst chance?" Haruki again asked with a slight glance towards me.

"Because all the large weapons of war are made of wood," I replied to Haruki's gaze.

"Because they are made of wood, the rain that falls makes the wood wet, just like the weapons we have. Wet wood, will make it difficult for the fire to burn it," I said again with a slight movement of my fingers when explaining.

"Therefore, we cannot target attacks like fire arrows towards those weapons. And, we also experience a little loss from it, because our weapons are also wet it affects its use..."

"Aahh, how should I explain it," I said again, my head bowed with one of my hands banging softly on my head.

"The bottom line, if the wooden weapon we will use is wet. It will make it difficult for us to use it ourselves, because it ... I don't care how you guys do it, it's just ... I want the weapons to dry before morning comes," I said, followed by my eyes, which looked at them in turn.
